Anika POV

In the largest city like Delhi,there were several busy streets. From morning itself traffic start building up.Crowds of pedestrian, shoppers and people walking for their work.

The sound of cars and taxis hooting.
The no of vehicles zooming past and crawling along caught with traffic light.

In a busy street their , their stood a double storey house with peaceful environment. Their stood anika in her balcony looking at the road while sipping morning tea.

Her thoughts were interrupt by the sound of her mom.

"Anika you are not ready yet you will get late for office what will i do of you. Why you don't understand. "

"Mom don't start again today my shift start at 11:00 AM  now sit here for 2 min "

" I don't have time anii i have to make breakfast "

"Maa radha didi will do why you become so hyper in morning itself your bp will again became high."

To which she royally ignore me. Typical Indian mom.

" Now Stop i have to check on your idiot brother also. I can bet he is sleeping now "

" Mom let him sleep. He is studying late in night"

" Because of you and your father he didn't listen to me you both spoil him a lot "

" I will take this as a complement" dad said coming towards us.

" So full of yourself"

" Now don't we jealous of me. As we both know they both love me more than you " he said chuckling. And their bickering  start.

Both were fight with eachother like Tom and Jerry but love eachother so much. They are very cute couple.

"Anii you only tell her you love me more than her "

" You both don't drag me in this you both know my answer " i said narrowing my eyebrow.

To which they chuckle.  I give them a quick hug.

" Why  you guys always do this with me"  sleeping beauty of the house come none other than rudra.

" Because we don't want you "

" See dad di always do this with me"

" Heyy don't say anything to my Rudy"
Mom said . Dad and me look her in disbelief. Some time ago she is complaining about him now taking his side.

" Mom only love me "

" Heyy stop your drama and come "

He come and join us . This is only i want smile on their faces.

After a small moment we all left to respective work. I quickly take shower and wear white colour top with black pants. Hairs tied in a pony. With regular makeup nothing more.
I come downstairs dad and rudra were having breakfast. I come and sit beside rudra.

" Anika in evening we are going to Mr. Malhotra daughter wedding you are coming or not."

" No dad  because i  have meeting in evening it's not possible for me to come "

" See i already told her but she never listen to me" mom in mocking tone.

" Work come first Asha she has meeting" here come dad for my rescue.

" You don't know in every function people ask me about her everyone children come with them but they both never "

To which me and rudra sheepishly smile looking eachother. As we both hate to go in functions where ladies were doing nothing but gossiping. We both prefer to be at home and watch Netflix.

" Mom i am getting late "  saying i take my bag with car keys and left quickly before she start emotional blackmailing . Indian mom fav weapon.

Setting in car i ignite the car today traffic is very much and Delhi hotness is something nobody like much.

After 45 min i park the car taking files and my bag i enter to my cabin to greet by my bestie Bhavya.

" Good morning" she said excitedly.

" A very good morning but why are  you so excited"

I settle on my seat.

" Nothing i am just wishing you"

" I know you very well so spill"

" Nothing much i was thinking that after work we can go for shopping"

" No i am not going "

"Pretty pls "

" Last month only you did shopping now what's the need"

" New collection is launch you know and i want so you are coming that's it"

" No "

" Yes "

" No "

" No "

" Yes "

" Okay so now you agree we are going thank you so much you are best "

Saying she left. I sighed she always trick me . Her love for shopping is something else.

Later i get busy in work .

It's already seven . I wrap up my work. Bhavya also come .

We go to Phone xi mall she tried many dress. But i don't like any for me. Also i don't need so why should i waste money. It's not like i don't have but I don't like to waste money.

My dad has it's own business he work very hard  for that. What we have is only because of his hardwork.

Our house is not very big but good for us. We also have garden in our house.
And i love to spend my time but  not more then my room balcony.

Finally she found her dress then we eat in food court only. I drop her at her home. I had back to home.

I park the car and rang the bell but nobody open to  I frown . I take spare keys and open the door. Then it strike to me that mom dad and rudra gone to function .

I hurriedly make my way to room.
After freshen and changing in night wear. I make green tea for myself and settle in my balcony with my novel . I love reading sitting under the stars.

I so engrossed in book that i realise it's midnight. I go back to room to listen the sound of car horn. They come back. I go downstairs.

They are looking very excited and rudra was grinning looking at me.

I ask him raising the eyebrow to what happen to which he stuck out his tongue.

" Dad mom what happen why you are looking so excited and happy "

" Nothing much i just meet  my childhood friend after years."

"Dad tell her the main reason" rudra said sitting beside me.

" What reason ??  Dad what he is talking"

" Anii  i met today Shakti we are childhood friends. But i have to shift here because of dad transfer. "

"They have their own industry which is no 1 in aisa you heard about Oberoi industry"

To which i nodded who don't  know about Oberoi industry.

"It's Shakti and tej company but now Shakti son shivaay is CEO who is leading the Oberoi industry because of his hardwork it's reach at top "

"So why are you telling me this "

" Anii Shakti bhaishab ask your hand for his son Shivaay." Shock . I didn't expect this.  Marriage suddenly means there are many alliance come but my father only reject them. I don't know i am prepare for this or not. It's not like that i don't want to get married but i don't know i am ready for this or not.

" Dad but i am not prepare for this "

" Anii every girl think like this only. You are already 27 and it's the right age for you. One day or the other you have to get married. We are not marrying  you tomorrow only first meet shivaay talk to him. Then only decide. I must say  they are very down to earth people. And Shivaay he is also good i think he is perfect of you "

I look at mom in horror like she meet him for first time and she think he is perfect for me like how.

" Anika we are just saying to meet him first they are very good people "

I thought about what mom and dad said. I have to get married one or the other. Their is no harm to meet him. And i know mom and dad always choose best for me.

" Okay dad i don't have problem because i know you guys always choose best for me" to which they smile.

" Then finally i will get rid from her "

" Dad see what he is saying"

" Rudra no teasing"

" Dad i am saying truth only. I pity to the boy who  is going to marry her "

To which i threw pillow on his face.

" Enough now anika they are coming tomorrow is Sunday so u don't have your office also. Now go and sleep it's already late"

Wishing everyone goodnight.

I came back to my room. I lay on bed. All thoughts about marriage is coming in my mind. I am nervous also.  Keeping aside the thoughts I slept.
