~Mission 20 (April 25th-May 8th)~
Hello all! Another week, another mission...
BUT!
It's a little different from normal.
As some of you may be aware, the final deadline for the Open Novella Contest is rapidly approaching (May 2nd). We have some members of our club who have entered and are pushing through to finish their novellas before the deadline.
And we thought it would be nice to give our support to cheer our fellow book clubbers over the finish line.
Therefore, the books for this week are all ONC entries in a mixture of genres. It'll work like a switch up mission in that you can pick any of the books, or indeed all of them if you so wish.
And from all of us at wonderwritersteam, we have our fingers crossed for all of you.
Books of the Mission
elizabethtrupiano's 'GENESIS'
"This is a story about the creation of a universe, which ultimately begins with the destruction of another. An end is always a beginning. For eternity, the Creator has been dissatisfied with the various universes he has produced, until he meets a thoughtful, introspective human who he believes could provide assistance in the creation of a new universe. A universe with meaning and purpose. It will make existence better for his creations, but, more importantly, more interesting worlds for him to ruin."

equinoxmoon's 'Jackal Eka'
"As mysterious flash-floods rising from a dam reservoir begin drowning an entire country, it is up to the mages of Kedhara to keep the citizens safe. A mage apprentice, tasked with rescuing civilians from the clutches of the deluge, finds herself plunging headfirst into a nightmare as she nears the source of the disturbance.
When you die in the darkness of the Ketakey Reservoir, you come back. But you never come back the same, there's always a price to pay for resurrection."

Dante_Greywolf's 'The Last Werewolf (Vidar #1)'
"After the events of Ragnarok, the God Vidar has settled in the nice and quiet city of Antwerp where he keeps and eye on the local paranormal community. Nearly a millennium later, Vidar is a grumbling bookstore owner by day and a lazy paranormal detective by night (albeit a slightly furry one during the full moon). The morning after a particularly rough transition, the young teenage girl who normally wastes her days on the skatepark across the street enters his shop, fervently looking for a book on the legend of Brabo and Antigonus. As she struggles to pay, she reveals that the giant has disappeared from the statue on the town square. At the foot of the fountain now lies a body that has been dead for three hundred years."

lionobsession's 'The Night Mares'
"When he hears noises from under his bed, thirteen-year-old Jack Taylor thinks he's going mad. There are no such things as monsters.
Much to his surprise, he discovers Annie and Dede, two Night Mares trapped in the physical world. But something's wrong. They shouldn't be able to be seen by humankind at all.
Tied to his fate, Jack must help the Night Mares get back to their realm by coming to terms with his own emotions. Easier said than done."
