Shuichis pov

It's been two weeks since we escaped our prison. We've all been living together in an apartment home. Me and rantaro live next door so I tend to sleep with him whenever I have nightmares.

I'm definitely in love with him. That much I know for sure but I'm way too nervous to tell him how I feel. Not even kaito and keades pep talks can convince me to confess.

I woke up to the sound of a door opening. I ran out the room in my boxers to see rantaro leaving his apartment fully clothed and carrying a backpack.

"where are you going?" I asked.

Rantaro turned around in surprise "oh shuichi. I was hoping I could leave without running into anyone. I not very good at goodbyes"

"goodbye?"

"yep" he sighed " I'm travelling the world to track down my long lost sisters. So this is goodbye"

"wait don't go!" I grabbed his arm "please I need you"

"oh shuichi I know you have trouble sleeping cause of those nightmares but you can always ask kaito or keade to sleep with you" rantaro said petting my head "you'll be just fine" with that he left.

I went over to keades dorm. She answered the door looking tired "shuichi what are you doing over at this time?"

I tried to say something but I ended up bursting into tears. Keades eyes widened and she ushered me inside.

I told her everything while crying.

"oh shuichi I'm so sorry" she said stroking my hair "but he's not gone forever. He'll come back and once he does you can tell him exactly how you feel"

"ok" I whimpered. When he comes back I'll definitely tell him how I feel.
