Rantaros pov

I woke up the next morning to see that everyone had left. Damnit I didn't get shuichis number! Oh well I guess I could ask for it at school but I'll only scare him away if I just walk up and ask for his number.

Agh I wish I had a proper excuse to talk to him without looking like a creep. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw it. Shuichis hat! He must have left it here by mistake. Oh this is the perfect excuse to talk to him. I grabbed the hat with a grin and ran out the door.

I made it to school and survade the area for shuichi. I saw him walking down the hallway nervously with his head down. He must feel insecure without his hat on.

I walked up to him and he accidentally bumped into me.

"ahh I'm sorry" he muttered still looking to the floor.

"it's ok" I said gently. I held out his hat "you left this at my house"

He looked up for a second and I saw his beautiful golden eyes. I wonder why he hides those eyes? His eyes lit up when he saw the hat and he quickly put it on.

"thank you rantaro" he said greatfully.

"no problem kid" I said petting his head "say would you like to stay the night at my place? We could watch a movie or something"

"yeah that sounds fun" he smiled shyly.

"alright I'll see you in class"

"ok"

I watched him walk off with a smile. I'm finally getting closer to him.
