Chapter 18
"I don't know what you are talking about Dolan."
It's lunch time. Dolan, Critical, and Hellbent all sat in then science room. Both Dolan and Critical glared at Hellbent with a burning rage."
Dolan sighed. "Hellbent. Tell me what really is going on. I already know what happened at the gas station with Pringle, Slapped Ham, and Critical. And you know full well I was at the clinic. Tell me what is happening so we can find Shima."
"I told you! I don't know what you are talking about!" Hellbent said looking at the wall, getting frustrated. "Geez."
Critical slapped his hand down on the table. "STOP LYING ALREADY!" Critical yelled grabbing Hellbent by the collar. "How many lies can you say until you finally tell the truth?" Critical sighed, realizing he was losing his cool. "Think Hellbent, you are lying to your own little bro-"
"HE IS NOT MY BROTHER!" Hellbent yelled pulling himself away from Critical. Realizing he just slipped, he slapped his hand over his mouth. The room was dead silent. They could hear a pencil roll off the counter and bounce off the floor.
Dolan's eyes widened and he took a step back. Hellbent grit his teeth and grabbed his cigar box off the counter. Dolan snapped out of his trance and saw Hellbent. "Wait Hellbent-" Hellbent didn't let him finish. He raced out the room, slamming the door behind him. Dolan and Critical both gave each other a sorrow filled look then both came to the agreement to chase after him.

"Damn it...damn it!"
Hellbent sped out the building and through the parking lot. He rushed out of the school gates and onward, with no intention of stopping. He could hear Dolan in the distance yell his name from the front of the school but he didn't hesitate. He ran out into the street then down the road.
A few minutes later Dolan's voice became more and more faint. Hellbent had his head down, facing the ground as he sprinted. Not watching his footing, he tripped on a rock and somersaulted into a patch of grass. When he looked up, trees surrounded him. He huffed and gasped for breath.
"Why can't I keep my mouth shut?" He muttered lying down, facing the sky. Hellbent closed his eyes and a image of Pringle popped into his mind. He was laughing. He was happy.
"That was so long ago..." Hellbent muttered smirking. "When Pringle and I first started being friends, Pringle was always so happy. He laughed and was okay with life."
Hellbent's eyebrows furrowed up as he sighed. His tail wrapped around his leg. "Until..." Hellbent remembered the shock on Pringle's face when he saw him and Dan. 'Wait Pringle! It's not what you think!' Pringle ran from him since that day. "Until I messed up..." Hellbent rolled over so the soft grass tickled the left nostril of his nose. "Now it's happening again...I keep messing up. Dolan is finding out the truth about me. Pringle was in more danger than ever. And I still don't know who is after his life and mine." Hellbent looked a stand of grass with a far out look on his face. "Who is this person? Why is Dolan questioning the fact that I am his brother?" So many unanswered questions rattled Hellbent to the very bone. "So tired..." Hellbent closed his eyes again and relaxed his shoulders. "Please...let this all end soon." With that in mind, he drifted off into sleep.

"Hey there Shima. Wake up"
Shima hung her head and twitched slightly. She grouned and looked up, only to be met with a blinding light drilled onto her. She squinted and then looked down at her feet. Her vision was blurry and her head hurt, but she could see the brown, leather restraints around her ankles and wrists. She struggled and found they where around her waist as well. She couldn't think straight, which was a new feeling for Shima. She looked beyond and saw a gray desk, illuminated by the blinding light. After that there was darkness. She mustered her strength to talk. "HELLO?" She yelled out to the room.
"There is no use Shima. Belive me, I've tried..." A voice called from behind her. She shivered and leaned her head over to see Slapped Ham, strapped to a chair, looking at his feet. "It's hopeless..." His voice sounded so lost and broken. What did they do to him. His pink skin was now a more grayish tone.
"Where are we?" Shima asked, her ears flopping down.
"Other than hell?" Ham said sorrow filled.
"Ham." Shima said sternly.
Slapped Ham sighed and nodded. "You are just like me. You are now a hostage. With no way to escape...." Ham's breath became shaky and unstable. "Don't take me back...I don't want to go back!" His voice became louder and louder as he spoke. "PLEASE!" Ham screamed.
Shima quietly waited for Ham to calm down before speaking. "W-what do you mean, "Don't take me back?"
Ham was silent for several long dreading seconds. "It's-"
"SHIMA! DARLING! You finally woke up!" There was a sudden door that slammed open and in popped Hanna. Shima could see her from a far, race over and grab the back of her chair.
"Wait no! Ham!" Shima protested throwing her head back. Ham was silent and continued to look at his feet. Hanna began to drag Shima's chair toward the open door. Shima tried struggling but the restraints held her back. She could hear Hanna humming to herself as she dragged Shima away. "What is going on?!" Shima yelled trying to get a answer. Ham doesn't say a word. "HEY!" Shima yelled again before Hanna closed the door on Shima, cutting her off.
"Ready to have fun Shima?" Hanna whispered softly in Shima's ear, making a shiver going down her spine. "Ooooo I know I will!"
