Keefe sat on his cot. He was thinking of the face Sophie have him when he joined the Neverseen. Betrayal, sadness, and...... anger.
He could never while that face out of his memory. No matter how he tried.

"Surely you realize switching sides means betraying your friends." That's what Fintan had said.

And the way Sophie looked at him when she realized what was happening.

He shuddered.

"Keefe! Get over here. " Fintan called. "We're going on a little trip."
Keefe sighed. He followed Fintan, and went into the light to to find himself in Paris on a rooftop.

"What are doing here?" Keefe asked.

" Training. " Fintan spread out his arms.

"How are we supposed to train?"

Fintan motioned for him to sit.

"Look down there. If you could save one person, who would it be?"

Keefe looked down. He saw kids and adults alike.

One child in particular caught his eye. It was a little boy, waddling along with his mom. He was sucking on a lollipop and chasing all of the birds that came near him.

"That one." Keefe pointed.

Fintan nodded. "And why did you choose him?"

And it went like that everyday, until there was a change of plans.

"You're going to train. For real." Ruy told him.

"Okay." Keefe shrugged.

It was harder than he expected. He battled Gethen, in a battle of brains, and Ruy, in strength.

"I have to take a break." Keefe said, huffing out breaths.

Gethen frowned. "Fine. Go to Alvar."

Keefe followed his command, and worked with Alvar on mastering all of the things Exillium, except with better tips.

Keefe scrunched his face. "Its impossible. I'm never gonna be able to do it." He was trying to untie a knot with telekinesis.

"Its not impossible, unless I say it is." Alvar retorted back. "Watch."

So Keefe watched him effortlessly untie the knot. Again.

"Figure it out yet?" Alvar asked.

Keefe shook his head no.

"Its all about the foot energy. Move your feet."

"Alright." Keefe concentrated on moving his feet, while untying it. After a few.seconds he got it.

"I did it!" He high fived Alvar.

"Good job. Now let's get on with temperature regulation.

Keefe crept along the Sanctuary with the other Neverseen members. He was scared.

What was he even doing with the Neverseen? He shouldn't be with them trying to break into the Sanctuary to get Silveny!

Mama Glitter Butt, his mind corrected.

He took a deep breath.

He followed Fintan, and when they got to the entrance, stood guard

It'll be okay. I'm just standing guard, not doing anything else.
Before he knew it, Fintan and the rest of the Neverseen were running out.

" Come on! " Hissed Umber.

And he did. And when he got back to the hideout, he was determined more than ever to get out of the mess he created with information.
