Hello, this is Rose with a few words before you begin reading.

When thinking about how I should start this story, I came up with several different ways that I could do this and now they're all a jumbled mess on a google doc somewhere, haha. However, even after I was done with the storyboarding, there was still the matter of which way would I tell the story. If you're a writer like myself, you might've realized at this point that every writer has their own style that's specific to themselves. It's that sort of voice you can hear in between the lines of the dialogue and description. You can see the humor of Riordan's personality in all of his books and you can tell that when Christopher Paolini describes something, it's going to be fantastical and very descriptive because that's just how Christopher Paolini writes.

Recently, I've been hooked on reading this particular writing style which is very poetic and graceful and whenever I read it, it feels like I'm looking at the image as if it had been painted on a canvas in acrylics and sometimes watercolors. This writing style had a different "timbre" that really resonated with me and literally made me say multiple times, "How do you write this well?!" Maybe this is just because I naturally am a more creative person, but even when I read other stories, never did I imagine those characters and setting like I had while reading this particular writing style.

This writing style is much more . . . poetic and free-form. It goes into further detail than needed and sometimes maybe you could take out entire paragraphs and still understand what's happening, but what's the fun in that? Short, pithy writing is fun when you're reading comedy because over-explaining a joke will make it not funny anymore, but poetic writing is very useful when writing about psychological disorders or feelings. You can say, "The sight of him made her feel happy and carefree," but it in this writing style, it comes out like: "The color of his eyes, his hair, his skin and the softness of it brought feelings of euphoria that made her feel as if she'd jumped out of an airplane without a parachute, yet somehow she'd be alright—feeling panicked and scared yet excited and comforted."

The fact is that this writing style will have an abundance of metaphors and similes and other forms of figurative language in a higher concentration than others. It will spend time on things that maybe you don't think are important and some of you will find that if read under the improper circumstances, it's going to give you a headache because it actually makes your brain think about what's happening. There will be times where the text is hard to understand, but that's the same with poetry. Sometimes, things get really philosophical in that genre and I emulated that here. Thus, I think it's fair to say that if you don't really resonate with poetry or its way of showing ideas, then I'll  hypothesize that this writing style will be harder for you to connect with.

That's not to say that sometimes, it will be my own fault that you're unable to connect or understand. Every once and a while, it will be too long-winded because sometimes, I just can't control myself and go a bit overboard with the words and description! So if something's confusing, don't hesitate to leave a comment and tell me!

This was just a warning, I suppose. I feel like most people reading AOT fanfics on WattPad don't like poetic writing styles because the age group is much younger on here and the fanfics are written at a much more straight-forward writing style that doesn't contain as much figurative language like imagery and metaphors.

Just wanted to say! It's very verbose!
