"H-howdy" you hear a voice from the corner of the darkness and you edge closer pulling out the lighter you brought for light "p-please,PLEASE DONT KILL ME!..." the voice said, you edged closer holding out the makeshift torch only for it to illuminate a...flower?

"Um hello?" To your surprise the flower turns around to reveal it has a face,you jump back in surprise,the strange creature then looking ashamed for scaring you "s-sorry" it begins to cry "w-what little flower no please don't cry I won't hurt you!" You then realise how stupid that sentence must have sounded

"o-oh really!" It stops crying and smiles "human you are the first one to give me mercy" "what?really" you ask,concerned for the poor thing only then noticing the rips in its yellow petals and scorch marks on its little flower...um...body? Do flowers have body's?nevermind

"Y-yeah,wait,nonononono you have to get out of here human!if she finds you she'll kill you!" It's panicked state only increasing "who will kill me"you ask

Just as you say that,as if on que, the sound of a door creaking echoes in the near distance,the flower gasps "q-quickly you must hide,go behind that rock!" You rush behind a large rock and duck down as the flower pops up out of the ground next to you startling you but not enough to make a sound

A strange goat monster who appears to be female strolls into the dimly lit room and you close your lighter to put out the flame as she walks towards where you fell,inspects it,then calls out into the darkness

"Human?..."

She stands there for a moment as if she's awaiting your reply,you consider talking to her but the flower looks at you,shakes its head,and puts a leaf to its mouth to signal for you to stay quiet,after a while she leaves,sadness in her eyes,and you turn back to the flower

"Sooooooo...." you say
"o-oh,um,yeah,hello,my names Flowey,Flowey the flower"
"I'm (y/n)"
"That's a nice name (y/n)"
"T-thanks"you blush
"So,as I was saying!you cannot stay here!we must get you back to the surface"
"How"you questioned
"Well,um,there's only one way out,and that's through the barrier at the kings castle"
"And that's where?"
"It's past the ruins,but you won't survive for five seconds out there without help,so,um,c-can I maybe,p-possibly,kinda,come with you?" Flowey asked
"Of course you can!"you say enthusiastically,exited to have a friend,and partner on this 'adventure'
"Great let's go then..."
