Now that Mother is gone, I'm the next Exalt. I have this huge weight on my shoulders and I don't have the time to watch over all of Ylisse.

I don't even want to protect the whole country. I just want Chrom and Lissa safe.

It was rain season after our big snowball fight a while back. I'm the Exalt now. I have to fill my duties.

I decided to take a stroll after I put Chrom and Lissa to sleep. They were both very tired.
"Goodnight." I said. "I will always be here to take care of you."

The commander was standing outside their room.
"Watch them." I said. He nodded.

I was definitely expecting nicer weather. I had to bring an umbrella with me because of the pouring rain. It was a gift from the people in Valm. They are very kind and I do hope the people stay healthy.

Most of the citizens who were out late that night were some villagers who called me "soft". I didn't understand what they meant at first but then I realized it meant I was too nice to everyone. Apparently I'm not ready to be the Exalt.

Then, I ran into Phila. She's the daughter of the commander and only protects me and Chrom. And now Lissa.
"Milady, why are you out this late at night?" She asked.
"I thought I would take an evening stroll." I replied. "I just can't be the Exalt. It's just to much pressure and a couple villagers called me soft."
"Well, then they're crazy. People are going to love you, Emm."
"And for that reason, you are now my bodyguard, Phila."
"Aww thanks, Emm. Hey, I gotta go now."
"I'll see you later, Phila."
"Bye."

Then, I felt a tap on the shoulder.
"Chrom?! What are you doing here? You should be in bed!" I told him.
"You seem worried Emm." He said. "I want you to know you're not alone."
"Wanna head back together?"
"Sure, future Exalt."
