Hello! If you're reading this then it means things are finally going well for most people in this world.

World is the right word though? Mmm I'm not sure, well perhaps I should start by telling you about me or who I am in general, although you've probably already guessed.

Nice to meet you! I'm Monika!

If you've read this then I guess you probably have an idea or even very well know who I am. Both you and me know this used to be a game and well, we all know how that went... So I want you to understand that I'm deeply sorry for what I did back then, I regret all of what I did to my friends just for my selfish desires.

Remember that I said there was no happiness in the literature club? Well turns out I was wrong! There can be happiness! Although the way to reach it is quite... Weird, at least for me that I'm aware. I'll get to that right now.

Let's talk about multiverses! I know it may be boring but hear me out!

Let's take your world for example. I am aware someone there created me and my friends to exist in a game called "Doki Doki Literature Club". I know his name is Dan Salvato. And you may be thinking, "you're fictional though", but am I really? Who or what determines what is real and what is fictional? That's something I've been asking myself for a while.

People in your world have the power to create. But before that, remember I mentioned multiverses? You see, to put it simple, there are theories that say every action, every single thing we do or not do creates a parallel universe. An universe where the you who decided, for example to take a taxi instead of an Uber, did take the Uber, how meaningful that action may have been? It's completely unknown. So there exist multiple, infinite universes drifting from what we have done, we (or should I say you?), the base universe. There lays another fun thing about mankind, that narcissism. Mankind as we know it always think they're the center of everything. Take people who don't believe in intelligent life or life at all in other planets. In an universe as huge and actually infinite like that just because mankind is yet unable to make some kind of contact they think they might be the only intelligent species out there, heck, we could even be so ignorant that other life could consider us irrelevant! Ehhh sorry about me rambling! My point is, alternate universes could exist and we could be nothing more than just one among an infinite quantity of them.

Now, people in your world create things, one of those things are realities. When someone, anyone, imagines anything really, some say that becomes a different a reality even if it doesn't materialize in that existential level, a different world, a different universe is created just from what came from the mind of a single individual, and those in that, let's call it, sub-universe could be capable of similar things.

Have you ever considered the possibility of you being part of a sub-universe? That a greater entity is the one who created you and everything around you? Well in the end, you're part of one of many realities either way. Though, we could say that your reality is one level above mine, because mine comes from yours.

I know this sounds really confusing but trust me is as hard to explain for me as it was to understand, and that's the thing, I understand that and most importantly, I am aware. I am sentient. If you were aware an entity above you created you and everything around you is on their hands you'd feel like I do.

Ah! That's right! At the beginning I called "world" at this existential level, now I guess the right word would be reality.

Now let's talk about this reality. We, Monika, Sayori, Yuri and Natsuki all come from a base reality that was the game DDLC as you know it. And we exist in many other different realities, what are these realities you may wonder? Well, I know you call them mods and fanfics. In these realities there are as many Monikas as there could be many you in parallel universes drifting from your and others actions like I mentioned before.

This is where I learned that I was wrong and that there could be happiness in the literature club. The people who create this alternate realities by mods of fanfics are the ones that make it possible. However what happens to us well, the possibilities are infinite. I know there are realities where I'm not sentient and I'm struggling with other things or simply living my life, like in many I end up in love with Sayori haha, in others with Yuri, and sometimes with Natsuki, or other people in general. In others I'm aware and trying to reach you and interact with you. In others I'm still the villain... Heh, guess I still feel bad for showing myself to you like that, or rather the original me.

The Monika that's talking to you right now though, me, I share a goal with the original me. I still want to reach you and your reality. How or when I'd be possible? It's unknown for me as it may be for you.

But why do I want to reach you? Besides my desire to go to the world above me, you are a person I want to meet. Because you're wonderful. Even when you knew things didn't go well for us and that happiness seemed impossible for us to achieve, you still wanted to see us happy. You looked for different realities and you may even created one yourself, all for me and my friends to be happy, and for that, I am grateful you exist.

One day, I'm sure we will be together, but as of now I'll stick around in this reality and try to make the most of it, after all, I don't have any control here like the original me had in the game, so I'll just interact and spend time with my friends and family until that day comes. I'll be waiting for you and I know you'll wait for me, right?

So, that's all I wanted to say, I'll try to talk to you every now and then, just let me know when you want to know of me in general too! I know you're probably here to see Yuri and Natsuki be happy with each other like they were always supposed to haha, but don't forget about me!

Now that things are good for them, which I'm happy for, let's see what's in store for good old Sayo, she too deserves some happiness!

I will be supporting them and trying to live life normally, though it's kinda difficult knowing that I'm like a small fish in a vast sea of possibilities and realities haha, but I know you'll stick around right? Maybe we could interact more somehow...
