Rumors

There was no question Sayori, with her always cheerful and friendly personality, was one that talked to a lot of people.

Mostly in her class, many people there considered her a good friend, others just a friend, but everyone had a good concept of the bubbly girl.

The girl with the red bow arrived at school, a little late as usual, after a very enjoyable weekend.

Sayori made her way among the rows of students, all the way to the back where her seat was, greeting everyone good morning as usual as she walked by their desks.

The always cheerful girl may not be the sharpest person in school but even her, could notice something odd was going on.

As Sayori passed by, the gloomy look in everyone's faces was piercing. She tried to act like nothing was happening, but the heavy atmosphere inside that room was palpable.

Throughout the day, the air just felt like it was getting heavier and heavier. Sayori tried to talk to some of her classmates in nearby seats but they all were very blunt and just told her to pay attention in class.

Finally the bell for lunch break rang and Sayori went to class 2-B's classroom to try to get off that gloomy atmosphere.

Monika and her always loyal group of followers were walking past her classroom door, all immersed in their talk around the white ribbon girl.

A girl with hair the same color stood in a nearby corner, watching with crossed arms. "Do they ever leave her alone? Freaking flies", the white haired girl sighed and turned around walking away, completely ignoring the average looking boy that passed right next to her and then entered Monika's classroom.

"Maybe I should ask Togashi for advice again...", Magikick mumbled to herself when she was a good distance away from the popular girls classroom and then turned back as class 2-A of Natsuki and Gensai, was a little bit further from Monika's.

As she walked by the brunnete's classroom again, Mayu Tsurugi, by the corner of her golden eyes, noticed something off.

A very average looking boy was sitting behind what Magikick believed was Monika's seat, quietly just checking his phone. Perhaps she was a little too observant sometimes but she was sure he wasn't there a few moments ago when she came, odd mostly because everyone sitting around her had followed her like dogs chasing their tail.

The boy wasn't anything special or suspicious or anything really, so the white haired girl soon brushed that weird feeling off and continued her way to Gensai's classroom.

The girl that loves space had returned to school, feeling better than ever, despite the events she went through recently.

As usual, Omiko was sit at a table in the cafeteria by herself, eating her lunch. And it was her lunch precisely what was different. Omiko was enjoying the lunch box Airi had prepared for her that morning.

During the weekend Omiko learned Airi's cooking was particularly good, but that wasn't exactly what made the food so enjoyable. It was the feeling of having someone use some of their time to do something for you, as insignificant as a lunch box would seem.

Omiko was really savouring every bit and was thinking of a way to show her gratitude to the beautiful girl somehow, as she hadn't done so despite all the good things Airi had done for her recently. She even hated herself a little for acting so shy around her even when they had shared more than as simple friendship kind of relationship.

The mint haired girl's line of thought was interrupted when a familiar name was mentioned in a nearby table, so Airi tried listening to what they were saying, driven by curiosity.

"Yeah, they say the principal has reduced possible suspects by listing all of the people that weren't at school that day", a male voice said. "And Monika wasn't? Weird, she's a top student, she never skips school without a reason at least, didn't she have one?", another male voice asked. "I heard she didn't give one, probably because she arrived later that day, when the incident had already happened", the first male voice replied. "Do you really believe she could have done it?", a female voice asked. "I don't know at this point... They say she and the principal had some kind of problem recently about her club, so that may be a reason", the male voice replied. "And what's that?", the female asked. "Don't know yet", the male voice replied.

Omiko was quite surprised after hearing their conversation she even forgot about her delicious food for a moment. Despite her not listening to that blackmailer and not accusing Monika, she still ended up being a suspect. Omiko realized she needed a good talk with the literature club.

"I don't get it Ry, it's like everyone it's in a bad mood!", Sayori said burying her face in the taller girl's shoulder. "I'm sure it's just the Monday mood, nobody likes Mondays anyway", Ryona said trying to reassure her girl, playing with her hair while they were sit on the floor of the roof. "I do, because I get to see you again!", Sayori said smiling sweetly at her girlfriend. "You saw me yesterday though", Ryona said blushing lightly and planting a quick peck on Sayori's nose, making her giggle.

"Give me loooove!", Sayori said jumping onto the arms of Ryona who held her like a baby as she pressed her lips against Sayori's lovingly, who wrapped her arms around her neck, pulling her down and closer to her.

"Listen, Yuri-Yuri, you know we're friends now, right? And we don't mean any harm or whatsoever, right?", a girl with red hair in a side ponytail said. "I know, what do you want to say to me then?", Yuri asked, now on her seat after coming back from dropping Natsuki in her classroom now that lunch ended.

"Okay, listen, you know we talk to a lot of people in school so it was kinda inevitable not hearing this today", Mika, former leader of the group of 4 that once tormented Yuri said. "Yep, it really has been quite the topic today", the girl with slightly curly hair said. "It's quite awful though, so don't freak out okay?", the blond girl added. "Umm, could you just cut to the chase girls, please?", Yuri asked smiling shyly.

"Alright, here we go... People are saying your girl may be cheating on you", Mika said. "W-What?", Yuri mumbled nervous. "Wawawait! It's just a rumour! People are saying she has been seen multiple times with another girl of the first years, apparently", the blondie added. "It's not the girl with glasses and green hair, if that's what you're thinking, Erika told us about that", Mika said. "T-Then who?", Yuri asked. "Not sure yet, the name's unknown, they usually describe her as blond and wears glasses, that's all we got so far", Miharu replied with a hand on her hip. Yuri was puzzled and didn't know what to say.

"Yuri-Yuri, honestly I don't believe any of that, I mean you two are like, the couple of the year, if there was a prompt like those they do in America here I'm sure as heck you two would be nominated and elected for queens",  Mika said trying to calm Yuri down. "Yeah, but it's still good you are aware of these rumours, you should talk with your bae about it", the girl with the too short skirt added. "T-Thank you guys, I-I will", Yuri finally responded and shortly after the teacher arrived, and everyone went back to their seats.

As the final bell rang, Sayori excited to see her friends at the literature club, started packing her stuff inside her bag eagerly and in one of her classic clumsy moves, she dropped one of her pencils.

"Isa-chan! Could you pass me that pencil? It's near your right foot, pretty please", Sayori said smiling sweetly at one of her many friends, who was a girl with light brown hair. The girl turned her attention to Sayori and smiled back. "Of course Sayo! Leave it to me!", the girl said and then kicked the pencil off to other side of the classroom, Sayori watched confused. "Oh I'm sorry! I guess my lame right leg truly isn't good for nothing", Isa said grinning maliciously.

"Don't mind her Sayo, she's just in a bad mood, here want a cookie?", a boy with gray hair said, offering a cookie to the bubbly girl. "Thanks Yoshio!", Sayori said trying to smile again and took the cookie from the boys hand. Yoshio then slapped it off her hand before Sayori could even bring it closer to her mouth. "Oh man, you shouldn't eat that! I touched it my hand which was probably dirty from what I was doing last night while watching boys dressed as girls", Yoshio said with a scary face.

"Yeah, that's not right!", Isa said now standing in front of a nervous Sayori too, kicking the cookie that was now on the floor.

"Oh no, now I'm getting your hair dirty!", Yoshio said pushing around Sayori's head getting rougher every time. The red bow girl had paralized completely and didn't know what to do, as she always had been scared of people getting physical. Sayori could feel some tears making their way to her blue eyes

Ryona whose teacher had let them off a little earlier, was now arriving at Sayori's classroom to wait for her and go to the club together.

The tough girl's smile left her face as she glanced through the window from outside and saw a boy with gray hair doing something she knew how to identify very well to her girlfriend.

The blood inside Ryona Aono boiled hotter than ever as she, without thinking it twice went through that door, pushing everyone in her way aside and furiously pushed the boy against the wall.

The look of both fear and surprise in Yoshio's face was worth being immortalized as one of the most problematic girls in the school punched him right in the jaw, rocking his world around him.

Before Ryona could throw another one, Isa tried to stop her just to receive an elbow right on her nose, to then been grabbed by the hair with that same hand and tossed around like a ragdoll. Isa fell onto the ground knocking a desk and chair nearby, now wincing in pain while she had her hands in her nose, which had started to bleed.

Ryona, who hadn't got her dark Brown eyes off the boy now threw another punch in his temple, bringing him down as he fell on his rear. Ryona now kicked his sides and stomach furiously not even aware the boy was asking for mercy, as the entire class watched paralized in fear.

Sayori finally reacted and ran to her girlfriend hugging her tight from behind, yelling her to stop.

Ryona finally felt the wet tears of Sayori moistening her back and turned around to see her crying Sayori. The dark blue haired girl seemed to regain her senses and hugged her girlfriend tight. "I'm here, I'll protect you", Ryona said trying to calm Sayori and herself down.

One of the teachers from a nearby classroom of course heard the whole mess and had come to see what was going on. The people in Sayori's classroom told him who the responsible of the two beaten up students on the floor was and so, Ryona was taken to the principal's office.
