Preparations
This chapter is going to be more focused on Sayori's side of this part of the story, I think it's about time the Spotlight starts to shine brighter on our little ball of sunshine. Specially since I have decided what's in store for her, and believe me is something big wahaha!
Also no worries there's still gonna be Natsuri moments.
Sayori and Erika had agreed to meet at Sayori's house on Saturday morning, around 10. The twintailed girl then arrived at that exact same time.
Erika knocked on the door however no response seemed to come out from inside. The black haired girl insisted a couple of more times until she heard the sound of rushed footsteps and a voice that was apparently shouting "I'm comiiiiiing!".
The door finally opened with a panting Sayori who despite her race to the door appeared to have just woken up. "I'm so sorry I overslept and I forgot my alarm yesterday!", Sayori exclaimed still panting. "Don't sweat the small stuff! Sorry for waking you up though I should've come later haha", Erika replied giggling. "Noooo, I'm the only one guilty of anything here!", Sayori said as she jumped and hugged her friend. Erika blushed lightly but still hugged back. Sayori then broke the hug and yawned. "Come in please", she said stretching her arms as she made her way back inside followed by the twintailed girl.
"Leave your stuff over there, I'll go get changed and splash some water on my face", Sayori said as she started making her way upstairs. "Okay, have fun!", Erika replied playfully. "You too!", Sayori said from upstairs now.
A few minutes later Sayori came back wearing her classic blue shorts and pink t-shirt and of course her red bow. "So what are we gonna do?", the bubbly girl asked now with refreshed expression. "I was thinking instead of making shelves and big cardboard decorations we could use some canvas and paint like the background like they do in some theatre plays. We can also collect some books and take them to the festival for people to check them out while they stop by", Erika explained. "Wow! That's an awesome idea! ... I suck at drawing though...", Sayori said happy and then joined the tip of her index fingers embarrassed at the last statement. "Don't worry about that part! I have some skill so I think I can make something decent, you just help me with ideas and collecting the books", Erika replied with a smile. "I'd be leaving all the work to you though...", Sayori replied shyly. "Don't sweat the small stuff! It's not that much", Erika assured. "Ummm okay but at least let me get you the materials you need", Sayori said happier. "Deal", Erika replied cheerfully.

Meanwhile Natsuki and Yuri were spending their weekend together as usual.
The couple plans were doing the banners on Saturday and the cupcakes on Sunday.
Thanks to Yuri's pretty handwriting doing the banners was pretty much easy for her. Natsuki knew she would not be of much help and let her girlfriend take care of it simply helping her by passing any tool she may need.
Yuri saw her chance as she had an idea. "I'm sorry I'm not of much help", Natsuki said blushing lightly. "Umm I know a way for you to help me greatly", Yuri said with a smirk on her face. "And what would that be?", Natsuki asked nervously. "Motivate me", Yuri said happy. "Eh? How?", Natsuki replied slightly confused. "Kisses", Yuri said blushing lightly looking at the ground with both hands on her lap. "God why is she so cute!", Natsuki said suddenly realizing she thought that out loud and followed by a mad blush on her face. "You didn't hear that!!", Natsuki shouted embarrassed. Yuri giggled and leaned closer to hug her girlfriend tight.
While Yuri worked on the banners, her younger girlfriend gave her some sweet kisses on her cheeks every time she would get a little rest. Feeling as she had been fueled up, Yuri was able to work harder on her banners everytime Natsuki filled her cheeks with loving smooches.

Sayori and Erika had come back from the store with all the materials they needed for the painting the black haired girl would do.
Sayori moved the furniture in her living room leaving a pretty wide space to set the canvas for Erika to work. The twintailed girl then sat down on the floor and cracked her knuckles to start. "Alright Sayo let's get started!", Erika said cheerfully. "Yeah!", Sayori replied just as cheerfully.
"Pass me the brown and black paint first please", Erika requested. "Yep!", Sayori stood up and went to get all of the materials from the kitchen where they had left them. The energetic girl passed her friend the paint she needed and then continued setting the rest of the materials nearby for her to reach them faster whenever Erika needed them.
Almost an hour later Erika was almost done with the first painting of a book shelf that looked astoundingly pretty. "OMG its so cool! I didn't know you could draw and paint like this!", Sayori said looking at the canvas with her sparkly blue eyes. "Hehe, Thanks, I like drawing in general so I found myself enjoying this", Erika replied smiling. "You're like a pro though, this is so good!", Sayori insisted. "Haha, stop flattering me and get me the red please, I gotta give it some last touches before going for the next one", the black haired girl said. "Sure!", Sayori replied energetically as usual and turned her back to Erika, bending over to grab the paint from the ground. Erika couldn't help but stare at her friends little butt which was quickly realized by her and looked away immediately with her cheeks red as the blood in Jason Voorhees machete. "Not now gay thoughts! I'm supposed to be working here!", Erika reminded herself in her mind. "Here you go!", Sayori handed the can to her friend startling her a little. "A-Ah yes, thanks buddy!", Erika replied still blushing lightly. Sayori simply tilted her head a little confused.
And so they spent most of the Saturday painting backgrounds for the literature club, until the evening came and it was Erika's time to leave. "Man I'm tired! But we did great progress, didn't we?", the twintailed girl said. "Yeah! Although you did most of the work hehe", Sayori said pressing the tip of her index fingers against each other. "Again with that? Relax! Anyways, I'll be coming over tomorrow to finish the two that are left and we'll work on picking books okay?", Erika said smiling. "Alright! See you tomorrow then pal!", Sayori said cheerfully and with that their day was over.

It's Sunday and we join our favorite couple who are now working on the cupcakes for the visitors delight during the festival.
While the cupcakes are in the oven Yuri has her lover pinned against the wall as the two laugh happily, both with frosting on their fingers caused by a lovely fight started by Natsuki who got some on Yuri's cheek.
Yuri's laugh stopped little by little and then she looked at her girlfriends index finger covered in frosting. Yuri got another idea and leaned forward to lick that from Natsuki's finger slowly, wrapping her tongue around her finger repeatedly until all of the frosting disappeared. Natsuki felt the heat equal to a thousand supernovas rushing to her face but did not protest and simply watched (and enjoyed) Yuri's actions until the taller girl finally pulled her mouth away from her girlfriends finger. "You're a goddamn purple pervert you know that?", Natsuki said looking away with pink cheeks.
Yuri smiled and giggled until Natsuki suddenly leaned closer, placed her small hands on Yuri's shoulders, got on her tip toes a little and rubbed her tongue against Yuri's cheek, wiping out some frosting that was still there. Yuri's face burned with the fire of Olympus but still tried to close her eyes as she felt Natsuki's tongue wiping more of the frosting scattered across her face, until the younger girl stopped. Yuri still craving for more, grabbed her lovers face and pressed her lips against Natsuki's to the shorter girl's surprise. The two shared a long and passionate kiss, Yuri then shyly tried to slide her tongue inside her girlfriends mouth until the oven started beeping indicating it was time to get the cupcakes out. Natsuki pulled away from the kiss and grinned at her lover who was blushing madly looking to the ground. "We'll continue this later okay?", Natsuki flashed her canines at Yuri and landed a quick peck on her cheek to then run to the oven. Yuri sighed a little disappointed but still smiled warmly.

In the meantime, Erika was now giving the last touches to the last painting for the festival.
Sayori stood up from the ground and went to take a look at the almost finished product that was a long hallway filled with high shelves of books that would make it seem like the club was a huge library. "That's seriously awesome! The style reminds me of a library I saw in this game where a dude that's part of an assassins group in Italy and he kicks ass and-", Sayori was saying until she got a little excited and accidentally kicked the paint can which caused it to spread all over the almost finished canvas. Erika stopped abruptly and turned her head to see Sayori who was frozen in fear. "I-I'm so sorry, I-I didn't mean to...", Sayori tried to mutter as thoughts invaded her mind. "You useless piece of shit, you have to ruin everything you do and ruin everything for everyone as always. That's why everyone thinks you're a bummer and the world would be better without you. Now your friend is gonna hate you more than she already did probably. Everyone hates you anyway, why would anyone even like a worthless and useless brat like you?",
Sayori's thoughts then were interrupted when a hand gently placed on her shoulder. "Hey, it's okay, it was an accid-", Erika tried to say as she saw Sayori's now puffy blue eyes filled with tears. "No! I screwed this! I'm nothing but a pain in the ass!", Sayori shouted frustrated and rushed upstairs locking herself inside her room. "Sayori, wait!", Erika shouted still a little shocked of seeing Sayori so upset, then followed her friend upstairs.
Sayori curled up on her bed hugging her pillow as she cried. A knock on the door then got her attention. "Sayori! It's okay! I'm not mad, it was just an accident, please come out", Erika said from the other side. Sayori did not reply and continued crying. "Come on please! Look, we can just do it again, it's no big deal, you can even help me umm I'll teach you how to add color!", Erika said still unsure of what to really say to make her friend feel better. Still no response. "Sayori? Please, just... Be happy okay? I like it when you're happy", Erika said in a last effort not really realizing what she was saying, only trying to cheer up her friend. Finally Sayori opened the door still sobbing while she clutched tight against her chest a little cow plushie. As adorable as this seemed to the twintailed girl, the sight of a sobbing Sayori was not something she wanted to see. Erika then smiled and hugged her friend. "You're really not mad?", Sayori asked shyly while she felt the embrace. "Nope", Erika tried to reply in a cheerful tone.
Their hug lasted a few more seconds until they pulled away and headed back downstairs.
A few hours later, the painting was finally done again to both girls relief. Sayori had calmed down and was now smiling again. Erika took a second to appreciate the happy face of Sayori smiling widely. Erika's light brown eyes then drifted to focus on Sayori's lips, somehow they caught the black haired girls attention and thoughts now invaded her mind again. "They look so soft and-.... Erika, you useless lesbian stop having weird thoughts about your friend! Anyways, I'm glad she's happy again, I really did hate seeing her cry. She and Monika have been such good friends to me these past couple of weeks, specially Sayori, always trying to have all of us happy. Man she's an awesome girl... Erika, you're so gay you knew that?", Erika then shook away her thoughts and spoke. "So, let's work on the book picking now, shall we?", the twintailed girl said. "Yes! Let's gooo!", Sayori said throwing a fist into the air. Erika chuckled.
The remaining time of their afternoon the two girls spent it picking some books from Sayori's parents rooms. The bubbly girl had asked permission to borrow some promising to return them after the festival was over.
Finally they were done and dusted and Erika was now about to leave. Both girls now at Sayori's front door. "It was a really fun weekend, thanks for having me over", Erika said smiling. "I had fun too! Let's hope the festival goes great tomorrow!", Sayori said cheerfully. "Haha, I hope so, anyways, see you tomorrow then", Erika waved her hand but was surprised when Sayori jumped and hugged her being the touchy type of person she was. "See ya!", Sayori said breaking the hug with a wide smile on her face. Erika then left feeling something funny inside her chest.
