Mission
Monday again and school was right around the corner for the shy bookworm, literally. As she turned around her gaze met the blond girl with glasses standing near the entrance, who waved her hand at her as soon as she noticed her.
"Morning Yuri!", Morgan said grinning happy. "G-Good morning, Morgan", Yuri replied nervous. "Soooo where's it?", Morgan asked expectantly. "I was hoping you did not ask...", Yuri said pulling out of her blazer a little heart shaped pendant, the same Natsuki had given to her on Christmas. "Excellent! Now, leave it there for the world to see!", Morgan said optimistically. "That is easier that said than done...", Yuri said shyly with her face starting to flush.
Yuri did a great effort throughout the day to fulfill her part of the plan, trying to ignore the surprised stares she kept receiving all day, until finally, literature club time came.
"Hi guys!", Sayori said cheerfully while she entered the room followed by the average looking boy. "Hi Sayori, Masato", Yuri waved a hand at both of them. "Oh? It's just you? Where's Natsu-, what is that?", Sayori said as she noticed the pendant and walked towards the taller girl to get a better look.
"O.M.G.!! This is so cute!! Where did you get this?!", Sayori said with sparkly eyes. "I-it is a present Natsuki gave me for Christmas", Yuri replied smiling warmly. "It's so pretty! Maybe me and Ry could try something like this!", Sayori said excited.
Natsuki heard all the fuss caused by Sayori even before entering the classroom and approached the bubbly girl from behind after waving a hand at MC who was now sitting on a random chair. "What's all the fuss about Sayori?", Natsuki asked trying to sound annoyed. "Natsuki! Look!", Sayori said still smiling, pointing at the object hanging from Yuri's neck.
Natsuki's eyes went wide open immediately recognizing the pink heart shaped pendant, which was now open and showed a small picture of her and Yuri, where Natsuki is smiling and Yuri is kissing her cheek with the happiest expressions ever seen.
The pink one remembered how they'd agreed it would be embarrassing to wear that in public so they'd always carried it under their shirts.
Natsuki's blushing face turned into an annoyed one as she tried to remain upset even though she loved what her girl was doing. "Geez, you're so embarrassing", Natsuki said looking away as she continued her way to the back of the classroom.
Yuri's expression quickly turned into a sad one as she heard Natsuki's words. "Relax, I know she loves it", Sayori said placing a hand on the purple one's shoulder who hoped that was the case.
A few minutes later, MC approached Yuri who was reading silently. "Continuing without me?", MC asked. "E-Eh? Ah, I am so sorry, I-I was a little distracted, umm were where we?", Yuri asked. "Page 19, and don't worry. I saw that a while ago. If Natsuki doesn't appreciate what you do for her don't let it bother-", MC began to said. "I am sorry, I prefer not to talk about that now", Yuri replied politely. "Alright, my bad", MC replied smiling. Damnit.

The next day, Yuri's mood to continue on her mission had decreased but still, she kept going as Morgan waited for her earlier at school before everyone arrived.
"Did you bring everything?", the blond girl asked expectantly. "I-I believe so", Yuri replied. "Then let's turn this baby into a Natsuki worshipping altar!", Morgan said gently hitting Yuri's locker with the back of her hand. "Oh god...", Yuri said quietly.
After being done with Yuri's locker, the purple haired girl gave it a good luck blushing profusely. "I-I think I-I will get it back to-", Yuri mumbled. "No way Jose! Come on, we still got work to do!", Morgan interrumpted her and began dragging the poor girl until they reached natsuki's locker.
Later that day Morgan and Yuri managed to hide somewhere near Natsuki's locker and waited to see the pink one's reaction.
"Awww how cute! I wish my boyfriend and I were like this! You two really like each other don't you?", A random girl with short black hair said after looking at Natsuki's locker. The pink haired girl was just standing there with her face as red as Spiderman's suit unable to respond with her eyes scanning the locker.
The first thing Natsuki noticed was the big letters in the center that read 'I love you', along with some other chessy phrases typical of Yuri scattered along the metallic surface. A small picture of the two of them from one of their many dates was on one of the down corners, stickers of books and cupcakes also adorned the remains of the empty space of that locker.
Natsuki then without replying to the girl who was still looking at her locker along with a couple of other random students who had come to look at the locker, walked to Yuri's locker and found a couple of more students gathered there watching.
Natsuki made her way between the small crowd and stared first at the big photo of herself on the center of Yuri's locker, cupcakes and books stickers also decorating the surface and some other smaller pictures of her and Yuri sharing some happy moments.
"Oh! You're the girl on the photo! Is this your boyfriend's locker?", A girl asked. "Eh?! No! I-I mean, I-It's my girlfriends...", Natsuki replied shyly with her face still red. "Oh! She really likes you then! It takes some courage to do something like this! Unless she was a stalker but she's your girlfriend so that's great!", the girl rambled and Natsuki's left with her face flushed to her classroom trying to ignore everyone looking at her and Yuri's lockers.
"D-Did that do something good?", Yuri asked. "Well, she didn't rip off anything of what was put there so I guess she doesn't really mind! Which is good!", Morgan said grinning. "Y-You think so...", Yuri mumbled still worried.
At last the literature club reunited, and Yuri who hadn't been able to talk or hear anything about her girlfriend after the locker event was now waiting anxiously for her to arrive and see if she had anything to say to her.
Natsuki finally arrived and not so much to Yuri's surprise, she went right to the back without saying a single word. Yuri thought of getting up and try talking to her again when Sayori and MC appeared.
"Hi people! I heard about your lockers guys! So are you finally-", Sayori said. "No", Natsuki cut her off with one simple word and went back to her manga, Yuri sighed quietly in disappointment.
"So why did you decorate your lockers like that if you-", MC, who was now reading with Natsuki, asked. "I didn't, she did it without my permission", Natsuki replied bluntly. "Oh, and what are you gonna do about it?", the boy asked. "Dunno, probably get it off there sometime", Natsuki said trying to focus on her manga. "I can help you if you-", MC said. "Listen, that's none of your business okay? Let me handle my problems with Yuri. Are you gonna read this or not?", Natsuki replied quietly but visibly upset. "A-Alright, sorry, and yeah I'm reading", MC smiled. Tch.

The next day Morgan went to Yuri's classroom early in the morning to ensure the mission continued. When she arrived she saw three other girls around her apparently asking her question about the bouquet of roses she was holding carefully.
"I see you've gone for a classic one! Can't wait to see her reaction to this! Let's go at once!", Morgan said cheerfully and grabbed Yuri by the wrist, dragging her out of her seat. "Come on girls, we gotta witness this too", the redhead girl said to her two friends and followed the blond and purple haired girls.
"Alright, you got 10 minutes until the bell rings and classes start, go for it Yuri!", Morgan said pushing Yuri into the room while the shy girl kept the flowers hidden behind her back.
Yuri walked slowly towards Natsuki's seat who gave her a quick puzzled glare before going back to her phone trying to ignore the purple one.
"Morning Yuri!", The boy of the school cap sit in front of Natsuki said as Yuri got right in front of natsuki's seat. Yuri smiled at him quickly and then looked at her girlfriend.
"N-Natsuki", Yuri said shyly. "What?", Natsuki replied without even look at her. "T-This is for you, I hope you like them", Yuri said revealing the bouquet of roses much to everyone else in that rooms surprise.
Natsuki's eyes couldn't help but focus on the beautiful flowers in front of her, moreover, the beautiful girl giving them to her. The tsundere blushed madly and wasn't able to say a word for a while until she calmly took the flowers from Yuri's hands making the taller girl's violet eyes retrieve their light. "Thanks...", Natsuki said shyly still looking away with her cheeks red as Sayori's bow. "N-Natsuki! I just want to say I love you and I am really sorry for-", Yuri tried to explain. "D-Don't get the wrong idea, I just accepted this because the flowers aren't guilty of anything and you'd probably throw them into the trash if I didn't which would be unfair for them", Natsuki said pouting a little in her classic tsundere style, which Yuri immediately recognized and started to feel relieved as she could see the true feelings behind Natsuki's words.
"O-Okay, thank you for accepting them then, they are not as beautiful as you but I really hope you like them", Yuri said forgetting she was being heard by everyone else in that classroom. "S-Shut it! Have you no shame or what?!", Natsuki said blushing even harder while she noticed all the stares around her. "A-Ah! I am sorry!", Yuri apologized quickly with her face turning deep red as she realized what she just did. "Awwww", the crowd said in unison, causing both girls to look to the ground embarrassed as they'd ever been before.
"Are you recor- PUT THAT PHONE DOWN!!", Natsuki said almost slapping the phone off Gensai's hand. "No way dude! This goes right into the annuals of history!", the funny mustache boy said grinning happy. "I'll kill you if you don't delete it!", Natsuki said causing everyone in the room to laugh, helping relieve some of the tension for the embarrassed pink and purple couple.
Later that day, Yuri waited eagerly for Natsuki to arrive at the literature club, hoping maybe she would talk to her again.
The pink one entered the classroom, still carrying the bouquet of roses and walked right next to Yuri. "Hi", Natsuki said shyly. "Hello", Yuri replied smiling. Natsuki then continued her way to the back of the room, leaving Yuri less worried now that she started to see some progress.
MC arrived a bit afterwards and already aware of the situation with the flowers, knew he had to do something to stop the pink and purple reconciliation.
"Hey Yuri, I saw this horror movie is coming out this Friday and since you like horror, how about we go watch it?", MC asked Yuri who was reading quietly and looking relaxed. "Hmm? Oh, umm I have something to do thia Friday, I am sorry", Yuri replied politely. "W-Well we can go Saturday or any day you find convenient!", MC said. "I will think about it", Yuri said starting to feel uncomfortable. "Alright, let me know when you've made up your mind", MC replied smiling.
Shit! Why is this happening?! You're supposed to fall for me dammit!

The next morning, Morgan and Yuri were heading to the auditorium, ready for the next step of the so called mission. "Alright! Everything's going right as we planned right? Are you convinced now that my plan is genius?", Morgan said. "I believe it can work", Yuri said smiling. "That's the spirit!", the blond girl replied enthusiastically.
"How are we going to hijack the addressing ceremony though?", Yuri asked. "Hahaha, we're not gonna really hijack it, what you're gonna do is raise your hand ask the principal or whoever is addressing anything in the microphone, if you can address something of public concern yourself and when you're there in the front just say what you need to say about Tsuki and well, you're probably gonna be sent back to your seat anyway after that", the girl with glasses said rubbing the back of her neck. "Easier said than done", Yuri said sighing.
Yuri was sit surrounded by people of her classroom, not really paying much attention at what the bald chubby man in the front was saying through the microphone. The purple haired girl could feel the cold sweat on her skin, her leg was moving repeatedly and she was playing with a strand of her purple hair non stop.
"So, before we finish, does anybody have anything they would like to address? Nobody ever has though...", The principal asked sighing. Yuri quickly raised her hand, surprising the chubby man who invited her to come to the front. "There's no turning back now...", Yuri thought as she walked nervously.
After the principal welcomed her to the front and left the microphone all for her, Yuri stood there looking at the large crowd staring at her curiously, now frozen in fear.
Yuri spotted the pink haired head among the crowd and saw her magenta eyes staring back at her curious and yet beautiful as always. The shy bookworm tried to imagine she was the only one there with her, just how Natsuki taught her to back when they attended the anime convention so she could overcome her fears. Finally Yuri took a deep breath.
"I just wanted to say that none of the rumours that were circulating about Natsuki were true at all. They could not and would never be. Because she is amazing, beautiful, lovely, great and many other things, and certainly more than I ever deserved. Despite all of that I let my fears get the best of me and disrespected her badly. Please, if you ever heard anything bad about her, do not believe it because I assure you is pure lies, she is the most beautiful person in this world. Natsuki, I love you with all I have", Yuri finally finished her speech letting everyone in the crowd speechless until the principal finally snapped out of it and quickly walked to the front grabbing the microphone.
"Well that is something of public matter somehow but this is not the place to address it, please go back to your seat Miss", the principal said and Yuri obliged satisfied.
Just as she was walking down of the podium the boy with school cap stood up and clapped loudly. The rest of the students followed him giving Yuri an standing ovation causing her to blush madly while she walked towards her seat.
"Order! Sit down! Order!", The principal said trying to stop the crowd but quickly gave up and waited for them to finish.
Once the ceremony ended, Yuri waited for her friend with the galaxy streak on her blond hair who came running towards her excited. "That was so freaking awesome!! Dude you killed it there!", Morgan said shaking Yuri by the shoulders. "T-Thank you, It was really embarrassing though...", Yuri smiled shyly. "Woman, you may not even need the 5th step after this! Can't wait to hear from you and Tsuki later, I've got a good feeling about this!", The blond girl said excited. I hope you are right", Yuri smiled warmly, proud of herself.
