The Dare

(Your p.o.v.)

For six years of my life, I have been blind. The last light I have ever saw was a drawing light within the shade of orange. The last light, my last hope... Ever since then, I was drawn to the sound of fire crackling.

" (Y/N)," my friend, Mylissa called out to me. "You're about to lean into the camp fire." I was tugged back from the back of my collar and straight back up.

" S-sorry," I murmured, feeling blush crawl up my neck. If you also thought that I was used to accidentally walking into fire, I wasn't.  The only reason was because fire is what blinded me all those years ago. So basically, even though I was easily drawn to fire, I was never used to it.

"It's alright," Mylissa confronted. " I know how attracted you are to fire." I slightly nodded as I tried to stop blushing from my mistake.

" U-um, don't mind me asking," I stuttered. " But why are we here, Mylissa?" I patiently waited for a reply, but only heard the campfire in front of me , crackling and popping. "M-Mylissa?"  I whimpered. "Um, are you g-going to answer?" Silence erupted throughout the woods as the campfire continued to crackle and pop. Chills crawled up my spine as my question echoed throughout the empty woods. I then felt a light tap on my shoulder. This caused me to jump off of my seat and shriek.

" (Y/N), calm down!" I heard Mylissa say. "It's just me!" I calmed down a bit, hearing Mylissa instead of something else.

" Gosh, Mylissa, give me a heads up next time!" I scolded. " I thought that you actually left me!"

"Sorry!" Mylissa apologized rudely. " I thought that you would've heard me leave!" I shrugged my shoulders.

" I didn't," I replied. " But anyways, why are we here?" Mylissa paused for a moment.

" Alright... I'll tell you, but promise not to freak out, okay?" Mylissa asked. I slowly nodded. She took a big breath. " Okay... Well, we're here to play Wick." I Jumped back in shock and fear.

" W-what?!" I screamed. "We're going to get killed by murderous children!" I could hear Mylissa sigh heavily.

" I know, (Y/N)," She said, trying to calm me down. " But I couldn't resist."

" Couldn't resist?!" I shrieked. " We could end up like TBubber, or Travis Burton!"

" Come on," Mylissa countered. " It is only for 6 hour-" I cut her off.

" Travis only survived three hours!" I pointed out. "Three hours!" Mylissa fell silent. "Huh?!" I shouted. "Sam came out here, but never came back!!" I stormed off into the woods, unknowingly.

" (Y/N) ..." Mylissa called out to me.

" No!" I exclaimed. "I'm not doing this!" I stormed off deeper and deeper into the woods.

(Tim's p.o.v.)

I was walking around when I heard something. Strange. It was screams, most likely shouting. Curious, I followed the source of the shouting.

" I'm not doing this!" a girl shouted. Doing this? Doing what? I saw a girl, about the same age as me, walk away from a bright source of light. Both of her eyes closed and both of her fists tightened. I wondered if she could even see her way though the dark woods, so I followed her. My footsteps were barely heard, even by me. The girl's footsteps heavily thumped against the ground, making it seem like the entire woods was shaking. She suddenly stopped walking. Afraid that she might see me, I hid behind a tree. Although it felt like she was watching me, or noticed me, she didn't. Carefully, I peeked from behind the tree and received a surprise.  The girl was staring directly at me, but with both of her eyes closed. I froze in place. My heart had started to pulse heavily as my eyes had locked onto her closed ones. She sighed and walked deeper into the woods. My tense body had unraveled and calmed down. Slowly, I began to follow the girl in silence, again. I could feel the wind comb through the woods and through my empty, ghostly body. Then, out of nowhere, the girl began to pick up her pace from a slow, calm walk to a speed walk. I softly sighed.

"What is she doing?" I murmured to myself. "She can't see, so why speed up in a place that you don't know of?" She must've heard me, because she began to really pick up her pace. She began to sprint through the woods, and soon enough, I did too. My feet lightly tapped against the ground, scattering loose leaves from trees and brushing against the variety of length of grass. To my surprise, she didn't run into any trees, or trip over any fallen trees. She didn't even make a sound brushing through the tree branches and grass. Soon enough, the girl tripped over a rock and tumbled down. I slowed down and fixed my mask while looking down at her. She was panting and wheezing for air.
