A loud clap of thunder shocked us and I jumped, making Jesse jolt back as well. "God," he muttered as rain poured onto us. Flashes of lightning lit up the sky and made Jesse looked soaked. I think I was soaked but Jesse started to herd me towards a tree. I pulled him back, "Weren't you paying attention during classes?" I yelled, trying to make myself heard over the thunder, "What?" 

"You dont't go under a tree in a thunderstorm!" I shouted as a flash of lighting blinded me. "Yes ma'am." Jesse yelled back and I saw a flash of lighting hit a tree, as if making a point. "Oh, I see what you mean." 

Just as Jesse took my hand to pull me away, I heard the sound of pure electricity and a burst of thunder so loud, I had to cover my ears. "JESSE!" I screamed as a blast of lighting struck us apart.
