Always Remember 11 (Nathan P.O.V.)



Seth and I walked into the room and it looked like things lightened up a little. Her parents we’re smiling and laughing and so was India.

“What happened while we were gone?” Seth asked

“Nothing, nothing changed. what happened between you guys?” India asked looking between the two of us.

“Nothing nothing changed.” Seth said repeating her answer.

“Come on, it clear that now you guys don’t hate each other. Your lying.” India wined.

“That’s when your wrong. We never hated each other.” Seth said patting her shoulder and then going around her. “All you have to know now is that we’re closer then ever. ” Seth said smiling at me and then sitting near his parents.

“Find then don’t tell me. I’ll find out anyway.” India said as she sat back down then pulled her blackberry out. “Uh! I hate hospitals! There’s never service. I haven‘t talk to Michael since this morning.”

I sat in the chair closest to Autumn bed side. Took out the letter and read number 9.

9. Remember that summer we spent at Mason Beach? That’s the first time I meet Kendal and I wouldn’t listen to you when you told me that something’s different about him. Well you can’t blame me, he seemed like a pretty good guy at first. But when he tried forcing me to get married to him that was another story. Then you came in to save me. That night wasn’t a very good night but you have to admit it did change the way I judge people. Now I know now not to judge people by their cover.

Flash Back:

It was the end of the school year and Autumn Nathan and a couple other people all went to the beach for the being of summer vacation. Autumn was at one of the shacks that sold food eating a hamburger in her bikini while Nathan was out in the water with the guys, dragging each other under. It wasn’t long before someone sat in the empty seat near Autumn and smiled at her. She smiled back but find it impossible to eat when someone was watching her.

“Umm, can I help you?” she asked the guy sitting next to her in the most polite way she can.

“No, I’m just looking at one of the prettiest girls on the beach. Couldn’t help but to stare.” he said. Autumn really took that moment to cheak him out. He wasn’t that bad looking but one thing she knew for sure was that Nathan looked better than him. He had shaggy blonde hair and gray eyes.

“Umm, thank you.” she said as she blushed and looked away. She didn’t know if she should leave or go find one of her friends. But one thing was for sure is that she didn’t wanna stay in this awkward position.

“So tell me beautiful what’s your name?” he asked as he rested his arm on the head of her seat.

“Autumn” she whispered.

“My name is Kendal. Aw, your to cute. You don’t have to be all shy around me, we’re friend now right?”

“I don’t kn….” but she was cut off when someone was calling her name. Both Kendal and Autumn turned around and they could see Nathan coming up to them. When he finally got to Autumn’s side he noticed she was with someone but this guy wasn’t normal or a wolf.

Nathan eyes turn to black as he looked at Kendal but Kendal was warmly smiling at him as if he knew exactly what Autumn meant to him.

“Nathan this is Kendal. Kendal this is my best friend Nathan.” she spoke and when she did Nathan’s eyes instantly turn back to their originally hazel color. Kendal extended his hand to shake Nathans' but Nathan made no movement to touch him. Kendal saw that Nathan wasn’t gonna shake his hand and he quickly put it down at his side.

“Nathan you have a pretty hot friend here and I was wondering if I could take her out on a date this Saturday?” Kendal said not taking his eyes off of Nathan’s.

“Yes” “No!” Autumn and Nathan spoke at the same time. They looked at each other confused as Kendal chuckled under his breathe.

“Sorry but I don’t think it’s up to you man. It’s up to this pretty little lady.” Kendal paused and looked at her. “So what’s you answer?”

“Yes” Autumn said. The first she said it because that was the first thing that came to mine but the second time she just wanted to see what Nathan would say to her about it. She thought that Kendal would be a fun person to hang out with.

Kendal grabbed her phone out of her hand and put his number in before she gave him her phone and she did the same. “Prefect, I’ll see you than.” he said before saving her number kissing her hand and then jogging away.

Nathan was pissed, no he was beyond pissed. He touched her! And the more that Nathan thought about it the more it made him sick. “Why would you do that Autumn!” he yelled/whispered.

Autumn knew he was mad because he would only call her by her name when he was mad or serious. But why was he mad, it was only a date. It’s not like they’re gonna get married or something. How ironic that was.

“Don’t Autumn me! What did I do?” she asked.

“Your really asking me that?”

“Yes!”

“You just accepted to go on a date with a complete stranger.”

“So what he was nice.” Autumn said. “ Don’t you think he’s nice? And why didn’t you shake his hand?”

“Because I don’t like him.”

“Do you even know him?”

“No,..”

“Than, that's all I have to hear.” Autumn said before walking away from Nathan. He didn’t hesitate to follower her and after a coupke of minutes of following her he actually talked.

“Your not going on that date with him Cupcake.” he said but he didn’t sound mad and he didn’t sound happy either.

“Why not?”

“Because he a….” but Nathan was cut off by Autumn. She hated that he was trying to make her decisions for him.

“Listen I’m going on that date with him and there is nothing you could do to stop me!” she yelled. Everyone was watching them, but it didn’t last long before Autumn stormed away and called her sister to pick her up.

For the remained of that week she didn’t talk to him but that’s when everything wrong happened.

She was on her date with Kendal and everything was going good until he didn’t bring her home. Instead he brought her to his house.

He got out the car and opened the passenger door for her motioning her to get out. “Um, why are we here?” she asked him.

“I want you to meet some people and I have some good news for both of us.” he told her as he held her hand. It felt wrong touching him, maybe because she wish it was Nathan holding her hand instead.

“He opened the door and inside was dark. But their was light coming from down the hall and that’s were Kendal lead her. As they got closer they could hear talking from a man and a women. And that’s when she meet his parents Linda and Kenneth.

Autumn didn’t know how long she was their for but it was for a while. They were talking and laughing until his mom said something that bothered her.

“Well when is the wedding.” she asked out loud. This wasn’t a new thing to everyone but It was a new thing to Autumn.

“We haven’t decided.” Kendal said.

“Your engaged?” Autumn asked completely shocked by the fact that she went on a date with a engaged man.

“Of course silly, to you.” his words shocked her. She was to young to get married and they only knew each other for a week. This wasn’t suppose to happen she was suppose to find her mate and then get married to him not Kendal.

She started to laugh at the joke but no one else was laughing. “What’s so funny?” his dad asked.

“How you guys are saying all this marriage stuff to me just to get me nervous.” no one said anything as Autumn laughed some more.

“Autumn we are getting married.” Kendal spoke softly with a serous face on.

The more she laughed the more she thought they were serious. Wait they’re serious! Autumn screamed to herself.

“No, no, no. I’m just turned 16. I’m to young to get married but I’m sure you’ll find a way better girl than me.” she said as she quickly stood up and started to make her way the way she came in.

“No worries, all we have to do is get your parents permission for you to get married to our son. Age doesn’t matter.” his mom said standing up.

“Yeah, Autumn I love you.” Kendal said and he was the next one to stand up and come after her. “No, you don’t get it my parents don’t even want me to go on dates and we only knew each other for a week you can’t possible love me. Well I have to go now.” and that when Autumn started sprinting to the door and unlock the locks.

But she was to slow Kendal hand quickly moved her hands away from the door. “We could make this work out baby. It was love at first sight. Just think about once we’re married we can do anything you want to do.”

Autumn slightly cursed at herself. She should of listened to Nathan when he was trying to warn her all week about him. Only if he were here now to tell her ‘I told you so’. “Listen Kendal you’re a really nice guy, but this isn’t going to work. I’m only 16 I’m not ready to get married or anything like that. I have to get home now.” She said quickly and this time Autumn opened the door and jogged out.

She was down the street when someone grabbed her arm roughly and turned her around. “Listen we could work this out please. I want you in my life forever. I want you to have my kids. I want to live my life with you. We know what you are, but I really don’t care.” Kendal said and the more he talked the tighter his gripe on her arm got.

“Kendal let go of my arm.” Autumn said as she tried tugging it away from him. “That hurt!” she wined.

“First promise me we’ll get married.” he said desperately.

“No! I said no already! What don’t you get!” Autumn yelled in his face but then his gripe got tighter making her words get choppy.

“Well, that’s t bad because we’re getting married if you like it or not. You might not feel the love I feel for you now but I’ll make you love me.” Kendal said as he made her come closer and closer to crying. “And stop struggling. It’s not like you have much control of the situation. “I still didn’t get a kiss” pause. “I think it’s time for our first kiss now.” he said before he started learning in for a kiss.

When he tried putting his lips on hers she turned her head so that he kissed her cheek. The second time he roughly grabbed her chin making sure she couldn’t turn away and right when he was about to kiss her on her lips he gasped for air and his grip loosened on her.

When Autumn was out of his grip she instantly back away from him. Kendal was on the floor now and Nathan was standing up looking down at him with his eyes pitch dark. Their was two other guys that Autumn notice which were Greg and Rodney they were two of Nathan closet guy friends besides her.

“Wait in the car I‘ll take care of him.” was the only thing Nathan said before they began pushing her to one of the two cars, but she wanted to stay with Nathan. She felt bad knowing that Nathan was right all along and she been so rude to him just for being right.

“No, I’m staying with you.” she said going to his side. Watching as Kendal spit up blood.

“Cupcake listen to me for once and go in the car I don’t want you to see this.” Nathan said before picking Kendal up with one arm and dragging him.

“Autumn, your going to side with his mutt? I love you why…” but Kendal didn’t get to finish because he was punched in the sided of the head and black out.

“Shut the fuck up.” Nathan said before walking down the Ally and dragging Kendal behind him.

“Come on Autumn we better get in the car before he get any madder then necessary.” Rodney said and Autumn didn’t hesitate but to follow. She sat in the back seat with Rodney and Greg sat in the passenger seat. Autumn couldn’t help but to think that they were following her. “You guys were following me all along went you guys?” Autumn asked.

Rodney didn’t answer her but Greg did by nodding.

“Thanks” she said.

“You should thank Nathan.” Greg said. “All this week he’s been complaining about how you weren’t talking to him. That’s why he’s been in such a bad mood.” Rodney said.

“Oh,” Was all she said. She didn’t know she affected him that badly. She didn’t mean to hurt him that much.

The car door opened and Nathan got in. Nobody said anything to anyone probably because Nathan looked pissed. He drove Greg home first and then Rodney home, saying a friendly bye and thank you.

Autumn was now in the passenger seat. Nathan didn’t say anything to her and didn’t even look at her.

“Nathan” no answer. “I’m sorry.”

“For what?” his voice was cold but familiar.

“I’m sorry for not listening to you. You where right, I should of never agreed to go on a date with him. And I’m sorry for ignoring and being rude to you all week. I guess….I guess…I don’t even know anymore.” Autumn said shaking her head. When he didn’t say anything she went in for the killer. “Thank you” she said.

“For what?”

“From saving me from getting married and probably rapped. You’re a good friend.” she said smiling at him and that’s when a smile broke onto his face.

“And don’t you forget it! Plus it’s my job to protect you so you don’t have to thank me.” he said with a cocky smile on his face.

“Yes, I do.”

“No you don’t”

“Yes I do”

“No you don’t”

“Yes I do”

“No you don’t”

“Yes I do”

“Yes you do” he said

“No I don’t” and when she noticed what she said she punched him in his arm. “You always get me.”

“Yeah I do.” They fell into a silences and then he spoke.

“After I report what happened to Alpha, we could forget about this.” he said looking over at her to see if it was ok. Autumn just nobbed her head.

“Can I sleepover? I really don’t feel like going home and being asked a million questions tonight.” Autumn said he agreed.

That night all they did was talk and then fell asleep side by side. It felt like they were never mad at each other. They almost forgot about that whole night.

End of Flash Back:

“Get your fat ass off my lap!” India yelled

“India watch your mouth.” her mother said

“Well then tell Seth to get off of me. I think he’s going to paralyze my legs.”

“Seth get off your sister.”his dad said. He hesitted before getting off her lap and walking towards me.

“Fine I’ll just sit on Nathan lap. I’m sure he’ll love it.”

“No, no, no I don’t think so.” I said quickly pushing him away.

“You people are no fun.” he said before laughing and going back to where he as sitting earlier.
