Firedrake finished his lunch, standing by the river, waiting for Snow and Riptide. He was waaaay too nervous to sit by or anywhere near them. Ever.

Suddeny, he felt a cold presence beside him. He turned around and saw Snow there. His heart melted.

"Hey! Are you ready to go?" She asked, Riptide standing behind her.

Firedrake nodded. "Uh, yes." He said and they headed to the platform. He felt the breeze touch his wings and relaxed a little. Only a little.

"W-where are we going?" He asked as they took off into the air.

Snow smiled. "Wherever the wind takes us." She said and Firedrake smiled back shyly.

Riptide watched Firedrake, smiling but had a very...terrifying look in his eye that said "I will kill you if I have to"

Firedrake shivered a little. But not because of the wind.

Before he knew it, they were gliding over treetops. A beautiful sun shone down on him. He was really deep in thought, so when Snow nudged him, he  fell out of the sky.

"AH!" he fumbled, and went downwards towards the trees. He managed to pull up at the last second, but caught his wing on a branch. Making him fumble a little, in a hurry he pulled hard on it. And he felt something snap.

Firedrake tumbled downwards, barely gliding onto a plain of grass. He was definitely bruised in multiple places.

"Oh my moons, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry!!!!" Snow said, landing beside him.

He saw Riptide land beside her, fear in his eyes. Snow sat right by Firedrake, patting his head comfortingly.

Firedrake felt dizzy and tried to lift his wings up, but winced as pain shot through the entire side of his body.

He felt Seawing talons fiddle with his wing. Firedrake wasn't entirely conscious. He slipped in and out, everything was blurry. He heard sobbing, but didn't know where it came from.

He heard a "It's broken. Definitely. And he looks like he has a con- "

And then everything went black.
