I glanced over at my clock it read 4:30 I sighed I couldn't sleep so I got up and put on a (f/c) tank top and black leggings I picked up my phone and earbuds I plugged in my earbuds and put on some music I then went out and walked down the street my music playing loud in my ears I looked around when suddenly I ran into someone "Gah!" I cried out as I stumbled back a few steps "look where you're going next time (Y/n)" I looked up Gene....oh no "hello Gene long time no see" I said cooly he glared at me "you're lucky I don't go to PDH anymore or I would kill you" "any reason or are you just bored?" I asked my voice icy "I think you should remember, or perhaps not" he grinned evilly and waved his hand at me a flash of yellow light then I was whipped into the past. "no no no no please....." I saw a girl, a younger me, kneeling in front of Gene who was laughing "i don't forgive" he said i saw a flash of white light and young me flinched Gene smirked my ears and tail flicked and I was ripped back to the present "but why do I care?" I asked my voice still cool but cautious "not enough to break the barrier huh?" He asked "well then" another flash of yellow light and I was standing in a dark room suddenly i remembered i was back in the present "look," I said my voice hard "it's not my fault you almost died!" "but I wouldn't have ben there had it not been for you, you know" " I do know.. but I also don't care" I turned on my heel and walked back to my apartment I looked at the time 6:29 ok then I thought as I started getting ready for school I put on the uniform and brushed my hair, ears and tail put on my white converse, grabbed my backpack and rushed out the door I half ran to school to make it on time I leaned against a light pole to catch my breath just as the bell rang I stood and walked into the building I went to locker then homeroom, I sat down and only half listened to the teacher calling attendance, "here" I called once he got to me, but my mind was in the past, the bell rang I walked to, cooking?!? What?!? Stupid schedule I didn't sign up for this either! I sighed and walked to room 158 I sat in the back next to a mini oven/stove thing I sighed and let my mind wander, I didn't like cooking but I was good at it because of how much of the time I have to fend for myself, so I thought about the last day I had seen Gene all those years ago I was suddenly ripped into the memory

I was standing on the sidewalk in front of a pale blue house, a moving truck was in front of me on the road Gene was standing in front of me, talking "-you'll be back soon right?" We were ten "I don't know Gene, hopefully, I have something to show you before I leave though, follow me" I walked to the park Gene following behind I stepped into the gazebo and stamped on the floor, a weak bored gave out and we both fell into a small stone chamber "wha-where are we? (N/n)? (Y/n)!" "Gene? I'm here!" "(N/n) what happened?!" "I-I'm not sure Gene" "we've got them!" A male voice suddenly called "shoot! Shoot!!" I screamed in pain as a bullet skimmed my arm, it opened the skin "(Y/N)!!!!!" I saw a crack of sunlight "Gene look up!!" I called "what- oh! (Y/n) here boost!" He helped me up then I pulled him up "what. The. Nether (Y/n)!! You were trying to kill me!" I pulled my sleeve over the wound "Gene, I didn't know the floor would give out-" "save it!" He snapped then walked off I sadly stood and walked back home, got into the car and looked out the window for the rest of the drive

I blinked hard back in the present just as he bell rang, I shook my head I couldn't dwell on that day or it would tear me apart I half listened to the teacher for the rest of class once the bell for lunch rang I got up and walked out to the bleachers I walked up to the top level and looked out over the school I smiled as I saw Ein and the Alpha talking, the bell rang and I walked back into school, I checked my schedule, math, I can work with that I thought as I found room 196 and sat in the back the teacher rambled about how math was "-a gateway to fun!-" and "-the easiest part of the real world!-" I listened and took notes, the bell rang at the end of the day and I collected my stuff and went to my locker, I was just putting my combo in 47-29-15 when Ein came up to me "hey (N/n)" he said I glanced at him (N/n)? Really Ein? "Hey Ein" I remarked as I put my books in my bag " I was wondering if you'd like to hang out some time?" I looked at him out of the corner of my eye and I locked my locker again "sure I'd like that" "how does next Saturday work for you?" "Sure I guess" I said with a shrug "I'll meet you in the park?" "Ok see you then (N/n)!" I smiled softly as he walked off I walked home and dropped my bag on the floor, kicked off my shoes and brushed my werewolf ears and tail then I watched some anime, ate dinner, did my homework and went to bed "goodnight mom" I muttered, wishing for just a moment that she was here with me, I rolled over and fell asleep.
