Together
Did you miss me Jackaboy?
Sean grunted from the pain in his head. "No," he mumbled under his breath, still subconsciously stumbling his way back to you.
Aw, did you really think I'd leave you alone? I just wanted to play with (Y/N) and the power I have over her.
"Stop, please," he muttered as he supported himself with the wall.
No can do Jack. I need your body.
"You're not getting it," Seán gritted his teeth together in anger.
Is that a challenge?
Anti's sickening chuckle filled Jack's head and caused him to moan in frustration and pull at his hair. He was starting to crack, and there was no one there to save him.
----------
You were walking in the park, hand-in-hand with Jack. The wind bristled through the trees as the bright sun warmed up your skin. You squinted your eyes as you took in the scenery around you. After taking a deep breath of fresh air in, you looked over at Jack and smiled when his eyes met yours. He squeezed your hand slightly and smiled. You leaned closer and pecked his lips. As you pulled away, you noticed that his smile had faded. You reached your hand up to touch his face asking, "What's wrong?"
Jack sighed," I'm not feeling too great."
Your frowned as your care for him kicked in. "What feels wrong? Is it your stomach?"
Jack shook his head and wrapped his arms around your waist. "I'm not that kind of sick, love."
"What do you mean?"
He sighed once more. "I'm not feeling like myself right now. I'm not sure how long I can resist it by myself. I need help."
Your frown deepened as you wrapped your arms around his neck. Your fingers played with his hair. "Jack, I don't understand. Why do you need help?"
"I can't do this alone, (Y/N). I can't hold on much longer. Help me, please."
"How?"
"Find me."
"What?" You questioned, confused. "I don't understand."
"Find me," he repeated, this time with more emphasis. "Wake up!"
----------
You shot up from the bed despite the searing pain in your abdomen. Your breathing came in quick, breathy gasps as you tried to calm your racing heart. Jack's words repeated in your thoughts.
"Find me."
You swung your legs over the side of the bed and stood up. You clutched your stomach as pain and discomfort formed there but pressed on with your mission. Stumbling to the door, you swung it open and stepped out. Looking around, you spotted Jack a few steps down the hall. You quickly made your way to him, ignoring the pain you were feeling.
"Jack? Are you alright?"
He grunted and looked up to you, his eyes filled with exhaustion and worry. "(Y/N)," his voice was soft as if you were an escape from whatever he was going through. "Y-You have to get away. It's not g-good. I'm not myself."
Your eyes widened as you realized what was happening. "No, why," your voice trailed off as you thought. Jack grunted once more and pulled you from your thoughts. "Tell me what to do to help you, babe."
"I don't know. I don't know anything anymore. I thought he was gone..."
Your wrapped your arms around him and held him while he still struggled with his demon. "I'm here for you. I'm going to help you. You're not alone."
"N-No, you have to get away from me, love. I'm too dangerous. Just go."
You were shocked at his words. "Seán McLoughlin, I am never leaving you. Don't you ever think that."
"You have to go. You can't be near me. I could snap. He could win this time and I could hurt you...again. Leave for yourself. Leave for our unborn child."
You squeezed Jack slightly and pulled away. Lifitng his chin up, your eyes locked onto his now stormy ocean eyes. "I am not leaving. We can work through this together. I don't care how dangerous it is. Just think of how much more dangerous me being pregnant and alone would be. I'm staying and together we will work through this."
Jack sighed and ran a hand through his hair, his messy and hurting composure fading. "Thank you, love. I feel better now. I'm just afraid that I'll hurt you, but I will try my hardest to make sure that never happens. I love you and our baby." He bent down and kissed your stomach before standing back up and kissing your lips.
"I'm always here for you, Seán. We'll do this together," you said after you pulled away. You wrapped your arms around his neck, breathing in his scent and instantly feeling safe and calm.
He wrapped his arms around your waist and nuzzled his head into your hair. "I'm sorry for ever doubting that we could do this together. You're so amazing."
You giggled as Seán attacked your neck with kisses. You tried to pull away, but he kept a firm grip on your waist and began tickling you. Bursting out in laughter, you squirmed in his grip but couldn't get free. "You're not going anywhere," he chuckled. You gasped for air, trying your best to pry his arms off of you. Soon, he relented his torture on you and you finally caught your breath as you smirked at him. "What?" He questioned with a chuckle. You dashed into the room, once again ignoring the pain in your abdomen and snatched a pillow. You ran back out and smacked Jack in the face with the pillow, giggling.
"Oh now you're really getting it."
----------
After having an intense pillow fight and Mark joining in on it, you realized your wound had reopened and was bleeding. Jack endlessly apologized, but you just shook your head and told him to hush as Mark re-stitched and bandaged your stomach.
You were currently snuggled onto Jack's chest as the two of you laid on the couch watching a movie. Mark had left about an hour ago, but not after telling you multiple times to be careful.
Your arms were relaxed around Seán's neck and you had drifted off into a light sleep. Seán looked down at your peaceful sleep and smiled to himself, thankful for being blessed with a great person like you in his life. Suddenly, a painful migraine attacked his head and he groaned, knowing what it was.
Never forget that I am always here.
[Hello all my wonderful people! So, this is the end of this book, sadly. The book felt like it was winding down. Originally I planned for this chapter to not be the last one and had a completely different direction I wanted to take it, but when I started writing the end, this seemed better. Let me know what y'all think. Feel free to let me know how you would have written this/ what you would have done differently. Let me know if you think there should/ could be another chapter and tell me your ideas. I love hearing your input and ideas. I love you all and thank you for supporting me by commenting, following, and voting. It really means alot and I appreciate everything you do. So, this is it until the next one!♥]
