We went out back were the city used to be now there was just a few old run down buildings that looked like they had been caught on fire or something. As we were walking David had started a conversation with cross about how we used to hang out around here he had recognized we were on park ave when we seen the large white house well what was left of it at least. We headed down to where the ag center used to be to see if there were any livestock left from the meteors. So far the only life we found were a few trees and what looked to be a cat of some sort. We tried to follow it but we lost it. "It's getting dark we should probably head home" said cross with a frightened look "Yeah your probably right" Cross said cautiously. As we started to leave we noticed a large dog-like creature staring at us. We slowly backed away. The creature followed it started moving faster when it stepped into the light I could see it was not a dog but a monstrous animal with horns on its head blood dripping from its teeth large claws and was standing on two feet. We started to run the creature roared fiercely then started to chase us we started to to pass the old run down buildings when we seen a building that looked almost untouched I shouted "CROSS DAVID RUN TO THAT BUILDING". We started to run towards the building the closer we got the it started to look like a church but the creature was gaining on us and if we wanted to survive we had to get to the building. We made and the doors were still functional we slammed them shut and moved an old wooden bench and put it against the door so it couldn't get in. We decided to look for a backdoor as we looked I noticed an old bible David yelled "Timothy get over here" I quickly ran over. I turned the corner and seen he had found an old pantry it had plenty of food in it and seeds. We gathered all the canned vegetables and seeds since they were the only thing that wouldn't be rotten. Cross had found a broken window we could use to get out but it was getting dark so we decided to stay for the night. I grabbed a few books and put them in a pile then used my lighter to ignite them if we were going to stay here we would have to be warm. Cross picked up the old Bible and was about to throw it in the fire until I told him not to "why not" said cross I replied "because that's the holy bible" "so what it's not like it's true" Cross said in an irritated voice I replied again "come on if that wasn't true why are we still alive how is this building still standing to save us from that creature?" "Ok fine keep the bible" Cross said in a shaky voice as if he was sad. I put the bible in my bag and laid down to try and get some sleep. The next morning I gathered our stuff and woke up Cross and David we used the window to get out so we didn't have to mess with that creature at the front we started our journey back. We decided to stop at the old school again to grab a few water bottles I seen last time we were here. We went in to grab the water and went on home. When we finally got back to the bunker we were greeted by Jennifer who ran up and hugged me and kissed me on the cheek before she said hi to everyone else. We then carried all the food we had gathered including the seeds. We organized everything then laid in our beds for a quick nap. I woke up drenched in sweat after a nightmare I quickly walked to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and filled my hands up with water to rinse off my face. "Are you alright Timothy?" asked Jennifer quietly standing behind me I turned around to reply " yeah just a nightmare I keep getting this one over and over again" "do you want to talk about it," Jennifer asked patiently "yeah I'd like that" I replied calmly. We went over to sit on the couch. I started to explain my dream to her "my dream starts with me out in a forest and I start walking towards this fire and I see this creature that looks like a reptilian dog on two legs and it just stares at me for three minutes then it runs at me I try to run but it's too fast and it tears my throat open then I wake up I don't know what to do" she looks at me and say "maybe you need something to take your mind off it" and then starts to kiss me I start to kiss back. We then stop and she asks if I need someone to sleep with to help comfort me "um sure actually that would help a lot. We went back to her room and laid down she fell asleep shortly after I put my arm over her I then drifted off asleep. The next morning when I woke up I noticed Jennifer was sitting on a red loveseat reading a book. "Good mourning" I say while yawning she smiles and says "good morning to you too sweetheart" she then puts the book down and walks over and kisses me on the cheek.
