41. Shed Inhibitions

✿◍•~•✿•~•◍✿

'Cheers!'

The three ladies gulped down the liquid in a go and both Ragini and Swara stilled feeling the burning sensation, later coughing a little while Ananya giggled.

"It happens, Bhabhis. Don't worry!"

"Waise Arvind, we never thought you would be actually interested in partying." Sanskar said, shifting from the subject.

Ananya choked on her second drink on hearing Sanskar. "What Bhaiyya! How can you even think like that? He is Mumbai's Krishn Kanhaiyya! Parties and Girls.. Both always trail behind him there." She said with a smirk.

"He flirts?" Ragini was amazed. "I never saw him---"

"He would have been a saint in Banaras, right? But he is not!" Ananya said in a duh tone. "Well, he doesn't flirt that much. Just that will be at least 5-6 gopiyan around him!" She teased winking at him. " Bhaiyya, my drink got spilled. One round more." She said to the club waiter.

"Ananya, No!" Arvind was serious this time. "I know you can handle. That doesn't mean you should drink more." He said before she argues.

"Why can't you go and search someone to romance? Kabhi toh peecha chodo meri!" She whined as another set of shots came before her - 3 tequila shots.

"Arvind and romance?" Swara raised her eyebrows.

Ananya shrugged her shoulder giggling while Ragini hi-fied her.

"If you want to learn romance, then watch Adarsh bhaiyya! How sweet he is! He gifts Pari Bhabhi everyday since the good news came saying she's going to give him the biggest gift! It's not about the gift but--" Swara said dreamily.

"Haan toh, even we are romantic! We, Maheswaris, are romantic!" Laksh declared.

Ragini bursted out laughing hearing Laksh and seeing her the other too also joined. "Maheswaris are romantic!" She mimicked him. "Maheswaris are just childish! Romance toh door ki baat hai! Hmmph!"

Well they're, only if the number of ladies in their life defines 'being romantic'.

"Why Bhabhi?" Ananya asked suddenly, being inquisitive.

"See Laksh! He is childish and impulsive even now. And Sanskar! He's too! And I'm thirsty." It didn't take much for Ragini to gulp down a shot.

"We too!" Swara and Ananya also emptied them.

"Bhabhi, come on, we will dance." Within minutes they were on the dance floor, enjoying to the fullest.

"Do you have any other celebration ideas, Arvind ji?" Sanskar asked, crossing his arms.

"Umm.." Arvind scratched his eyebrows nervously. "Actually I wanted them to enjoy this too. That's why---"

"We know!" Laksh giggled.

Tip tip barsaaa paaniiii...
Paaniiii meinnn aaaag lagaaa Diii...
Aaaag lagiii Dilllll meinnn toh...
Dill kooo terii yaad aayiiii...

The girls laughed their hearts out after chorusing along with the FM.

'We're not drunk, okay!' Ragini had declared as soon as they left the club.

Just unwanted departments of the brain are shut down due to the holiday declared!

The drunk ladies weren't that difficult, the men thought. They swayed, especially Ragini, freely to the grooving tracks of the club. And when Swara proposed to gulp down one more shot, Laksh didn't wait more to drag her out knowing that the girls will start whining soon.

"Hayee, the chemistry of Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon!" Ananya said dreamily as the song ended.

"Paani mein aag lagane waala chemistry." Ragini sighed.

"You both shouldn't be saying that. I'm the only one waiting to get hitched. You both have handsome husbands for romancing. So.." Ananya actioned zipping lips.

"What romancing!!" Ragini said disappointed.

"Why?" Ananya squinted her eyes. Back to the topic, aren't we?

"Your bhaiyya is a bhandar of childishness. He will ask for Tom and Jerry in theatres instead of a romantic movie." Ragini said in a duh tone.

"Sanky! Tom and Jerry is evergreen!" Swara started in the tone of a lecturer. "But for life to be green, You should leave chasing Jerry and dance with Toodles Galore. Understood!" She sounded like threatening as she leaned forward and spoke pointing her finger.

"Matlab, only one of my brothers needs advice." Ananya smiled cheekily. "Other one seems settled."

"Discussion over girls!" Laksh declared as the car came to halt.

"Yeah yeah!" Ragini smirked as she opened the door to get down.

But as she took a step further, she stumbled.

This earth na! Stop shaking dude! But it is appearing sooo beautiful today. Ragini's mind screamed.

"Chalo!" Sanskar shook his head smiling, seeing his 'drunk' wife mumbling.

"Hayee my Akshay Kumar! Heard Swara? You should stop chasing Jerry and dance with your Raveena Tandon!" Ragini winked as they walked into their room.

"Yeah, Ragz! I'll remind you in the morning." He said winking back, locking the door. "Now--" His voice trailed off seeing her nowhere.

"Now what?" Ragini's voice had a slight slur, the tequila shots in action. She got on their bed after changing her dress.

Usually they sleep in that dress only, right! And the hero stands clueless. And then--- Leave it!

"Nothing. Now sleep. It's late!" Sanskar said, grabbing his clothes to change.

Ragini hummed with a grin watching him walk to the washroom while Sanskar shook his head. Cutie.

"Laksh, you're romantic!" Swara mumbled as Laksh carried her to their room. She was stumbling too much!

"I know!" Laksh smirked on placing her on the bed.

"Let me complete it!" Swara whined. "I want to say that someday, okay! So keep me happy when I too get pregnant." She mumbled trying to keep her eyes open while Laksh stood there surprised.

"We will gift Adithya or Adya a baby sister or brother on her 2nd birthd---" She trailed off along with her drooping eyes.

Laksh chuckled, removed her sandals and tucked her in bed.

"As you wish, my queen!" He said placing a sloppy kiss on her forehead.

"You didn't sleep?" Sanskar raised his eyebrows seeing Ragini still sitting on their bed, waiting for him.

"I'm sleepy!" She said lazily, yawning in between. "Come!" She patted next to her on the bed making him sit there.

"All ended well, na?" She asked with a smile while Sanskar nodded, though clueless. "Kavita did love you. Till her death!"

"Ragz, it's over." He said with a smile, tucking a tendril which fell to her face.

"You're so lucky Sanskar! Even she's so lucky!" Ragini said, looking at Sanskar. "You were loved endlessly and she is being loved beyond death! If your love story was complete--"

"Then, how would have I found my Ragz?" He asked in a soft voice.

"Maybe never!" She gazed down, her voice soft. "Sanskar---"

"Ragz, why are you thinking about it over and over. We talked about it earlier. Our past ended on a good note. We should--"

"And you love Kavita even now, I know!" Ragini said out of nowhere while Sanskar frowned. "I know, we are friends, we are husband-wife now and the bond is developing. I like the fact that Kavita holds a place in your heart. She does even in mine." Ragini had a smile and a tinge of sadness too.

"Let me complete!" She pouted seeing Sanskar trying to stop her.

"But, I think it's time I should let it flow out of my heart, Sanskar. I had been thinking about it for so many days. So-- I'm beautiful, I know. I'm intelligent, I know that too!" There was a childishness in her voice which brought a smile on Sanskar's lips.

"You know, I feel good when you're close to me!" She said standing on her knees. "My stupid heart screams 'aur paas, aur paas'!" She said with a pout.

"I feel happy when you trust me. I feel emotional when you choose me above others. I feel ecstatic when you support me in front of others. I feel lucky when you care for me and I feel blessed when every moment reminds me that you're my husband, my man!" Ragini had an admiring smile while Sanskar sat frozen as her slightly slurry words hit him unexpectedly.

"You're, literally, my life Sanskar. I wanted to say this that day but---" She said slapping her forehead. "It would haven't let me know the depth of my feelings for you. But today, I feel every second would be worthless if I wait more. You don't deserve to know it late. You're a gem, Sanskar. And

I LOVE YOU! I LOVE THIS GEM! AND I WANT TO OWN IT MY WHOLE LIFE."

Ragini said as she held his face and joined their foreheads while Sanskar's eyes became glassy.

"I love you, Sanskar. My each breath reminds me that! That I love you, I belong to you, I will always, I want to be always!"

Ragini looked into Sanskar's glassy eyes making her own eyes pool with a layer of tears.

"I know you have feelings for me, maybe not as deep as mine. But I feel being reciprocated. And that swells my heart." She said, placing her forehead on his, again.

"I'm so happy in life now, Sanskar unlike gone days. And don't think I'm saying this under the effect of alcohol. I'm drunk enough just to shed my inhibitions. I'm in my whole senses, just a bit dizzy." She chuckled and looked into his eyes, as a deep silence followed.

"I love you, Sanskar!" She said with a fond smile. "I love you so much. I wanted to love you till death, and I surely love you beyond death." She said, ignoring the soft gasp of Sanskar hearing death.

Ragini let out a breath and smiled. "I love you!" She bend down, her gaze on Sanskar unwavering, and placed a soft kiss on his left cheek making his mouth widened.

"I love you husband!" She repeated cheerfully before throwing her hands around his neck for a hug stilling Sanskar further.

Sanskar felt his throat dry and heart ready to jump out of his body on hearing Ragini. He was ready to confess his love for her but her confession caught him off-guard. Her words hypnotized him and dragged him into a dumb world where he could only hear and see and feel.

"Ra-Ragz..." he called her but got no response. Holding her head protectively, he detached himself from her to see her dozed off.

Chuckling seeing her sleeping form, he tucked her on the bed and stared her intently.

Sanskar walked to the balcony to stare at the star-studded sky, which somehow reflected his condition.

"Ginn Raha hoon main tare
Iss aasman Aur zindagi mein.."

He was overwhelmed with the words and affection Ragini poured on him like the sky is filled with stars. Sometimes it remains dark with few stars and sometimes it would be content with its partners assuring their presence.

Sleep was nowhere near Sanskar Maheswari. How will it be? His wife managed to shut his mouth up with her words and smile. His wife professed her love to him!

What he thought the conversation would and what it ended up being!

How he thought the drunken Ragini would be and how she ended up being!

How he imagined their confession and how it ended up being!

The things you do to me, Mrs. Ragini Maheswari!
