RECAP

I didn't want my heart broken. So I had to stay away from him. Yes, I will stay away from him. After that, the day passed by quite quickly, with me avoiding him and him trying to gain my attention. Other then that it was uneventful, though everyone did get their clothes for the Engagement next week.

Sara's POV

The week flew by quickly with all the engagement preparations and rituals. Everyone was enjoying a lot, well everyone but me. I tried my level best to not stay alone around Asram, since I knew that I was falling for him, but I couldn't let it happen. I couldn't be broken once again. So I spoke to my father about it. He did give me a good idea, no a fabulous idea. I am going to go through with it. Now we were all sitting on the table and dad winked at me telling me that he is executing the plan.

'Well, now that Adi's life partner is chosen, I think it is time for us to look for someone for Sara' dad started off, on the breakfast table.

'I agree, sweetie do you love someone, or else can we look for someone for you?' Mom asked.

'I already spoke to her, she doesn't have anyone in mind, so there is this one friend of mine. His son is a good business man. He is also very good at music and goes for tours with his school friends once in a while. I believe he would be a good match for our Sara. They are coming for the engagement anyways. Maybe Sara and him can meet and talk there, see if they like each other' dad said.

'I think that is a good idea' mom agreed.

'What? Are you sure? she is my baby sister. She is still too young to get married' Adi bhai cut them off, in his over-protective mode.

'Bhai, she is the same age as Aku bhabhi' Jay said cutely, stressing on the Bhabhi(brother's wife). Bhai shook his head and looked at me.

'Sara are you really fine with this?' Bhai asked.

'Bhai there is no harm in meeting someone, it's not like I am going to marry him, at least not in the near future, so chill' I calmed him down. He still looked apprehensive but didn't say a word. He finished his breakfast quickly and excused himself. He rushed up the stairs, almost running to his room.

'He'll be fine, he is just too protective about you. He loves you and will support all your decisions, don't worry' mom assured me.

Soon all of us finished our breakfast, and headed to our rooms. Everything was completed at the venue, all we had to do was reach there half and hour early and be ready to welcome the guests.

I got to my room and started completing some of my office work. My phone buzzed and I picked the call without looking at the caller ID.

'SARA, YOU DECIDED TO HAVE AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE?' Akshita screamed into the phone.

I pulled my phone away from my ear. After promising to kill Adi bhai soon, I put the phone back on my ear.

Asram's POV

I was having a good day, I was very excited for Aku. After all of us had breakfast, I made my way to Aku's room to spend some quality time with her. I stopped abruptly on her when I heard her scream into the phone.

'SARA, YOU DECIDED TO HAVE AN ARRANGED MARRIAGE?' Akshita asked her.

'Aku, it is not exactly like that' she replied. I sighed in relief, at least Aku had kept the phone on speaker.

'Sara, Adi just called me. He is so worried, you just agreed to meet some guy during our engagement' Aku said. What is going on. I clenched my fist at the thought of Sara around some other guy.

'Look, dad just thinks since Adi has now got a life partner, I am next. So he just wants me to meet some guy who he thinks I will be compatible with. It is not like my parents and that guy's parents have decided to get us married. Just that I will meet the guy and talk a little with him. See if I like him. Simple' Sara said.

'Anyways, I have got to finish some office work and send it to your brother before the party, so I guess I'll talk to you later. Bye, love you' Sara continued.

'Bye babes' Aku replied before hanging up.

I just stood there, stunned. Sara is getting married, or at least meeting some guy. No, this will not happen. She is only and only MINE. Mine? where did that even come from. I guess I needed some advice, and I knew who to go to. I called up someone, two of my friends from school, Dhruv Sinha and Akshay Arora. We had an amazing group at school, Dhruv, Adi, Akshay and me. Well, we rarely ever met now, but I knew I could trust them, and anyways, I couldn't tell Adi about this,Sara was his sister after all. Plus, even if I wanted to, he would be busy since it is his Engagement today.

So I called both of them up and they did pick. I was very glad when they immediately agreed to meet me. I sighed in relief and quickly got dressed. I made my way to the café where I saw the two already sitting and eating some cheesy dish. They were the same as kids, never waited for anyone when it came to food, guess some things never change. This made me smile though. I walked in and greeted them happily. All of us did our bro handshake before we sat down. We talked about random things and caught up with everything in each other's lives.

Turns out, Dhruv and Akshay had met again a few weeks back because of Dhruv's little sister, Sakshi. Akshay's smile seemed to brighten up at her name. I remember how Akshay loved annoying her, and fighting with her. But, I guess he got married to someone else. I got to know about Dhruv's wife and daughter. Then I also found out about Akshay's divorce and his little daughter, Pia. They told me about Sakshi, and her husband who cheated on her. Then they told me about her son, Rohan. Akshay spoke about him so adoringly, guess my best friend will soon get a chance to LOVE AGAIN. I hope and pray Sakshi and Rohan can complete Akshay and Pia's family. After they filled me in, they finally asked me why I had called them here. I took a deep breath before telling them everything.

'So you remember Adi's sister, Sara. Well, when we were very small Sara and me had been very close. She would have chosen me over anyone or anything and so would I. Then when we were in highschool, something happened. Well, I hope you remember Arun?' I asked.

'Our enemy?'

'The one and only. Well, he caught me looking at Sara and taunted me saying that I was looking at a kid. Since, that day I started ignoring Sara and fought with her. I even insulted her. I knew it was wrong, and I was hurting one of the people I loved, but I felt pressurized to do so. I didn't want to be the outcast. I realized how stupid I had been a few days before graduation, and I wanted to apologize. But then, she had gone on a camp. All of you knew how I had gone to New York, 2 days after graduation. I never got a chance to apologize. After that if I ever came back, she found a good way to not come in front of me. Sometimes it was stomach aches, sometimes projects, but I never got to meet her. Finally, I came back permanently to handle dad's business. A miracle happened, Sara was on the list as one of the candidate's for my personal assistant. I didn't even think before choosing her. I knew her, I knew she would work dedicatedly, so I had an interview with her, and chose her. Then slowly and steadily we got talking again. Now I enjoy working with her and talking to her. Work is actually boring on the days she doesn't come. This has never ever happened to me before. I just don't know what to do. Like today, as you both know, is Adi's engagement to my sister, Akshita. I heard Akshita talk to Sara this morning. Apparently, she has agreed to meet some guy of her parents choice this evening. I feel like killing that guy. I just don't know what is wrong with me' I practically yelled in frustration. They sat silently for a few minutes before Dhruv looked at me seriously.

'You are in love with her Asram' he said slowly, as if he were talking to a baby. I thought about his words and realization hit me. Oh god! What was I supposed to do now?

'What should I do now?' I asked them.

'Show her you love her and keep her away from the guy she is meeting today' Akshay said.

'How?' I again asked.

'Well, we are coming for the party tonight, so we will help you and I have a plan' Dhruv said, looking mischievous. I thanked god for such good friends. We then talked some bit about the plan. I was a little hesitant but soon I agreed. We laughed and joked around before they left.

I made them promise that they would come with their families, and this would be one of the surprises for Adi too. He hadn't been able to contact them and so I had invited them instead. Tonight was going to be a lot of fun.
