Rahul's pov

We were back to my condo after meeting with my mom .

" So How's is my mom? Now you are not afraid of her anymore ? " I asked playfully.

" Yeah you were right Rahul  she is so sweet and humble  Rithika also " Anjali replied.

" Rahul " she called me humbly

" Hmmm"

" Geethanjali Raheja .. how " I knew it she would ask me about that.

" I know everything about you baby." Said me.

" Rahul " she again called me

" Hmmm "

" Why you  love me? " Anjali become so serious all of sudden.

" Baby what kind of question is that ? "  I wasn't ready to answer that question because why you love someone how can we answer to that question.

" You didn't started to like me because I am Rajveer Raheja's daughter ? " She was tensed and her sound was shaking.

" Baby  I began to like you because who your are . The one and only Geethanjali Raheja who is caring, loving , kind and smart . That Anjali Raheja whom I know from a long time. " I replied.

" If we haven't met at that party  or we could have met at any road side does your feelings will be same as like now ? "  from where to where she is taking the matter.

" Anjali baby what happened to you  ? Why are you like this suddenly ? . Why should I meet you at road side . I told you I began to like you , love you because I know who you are.
Ok then for your relief  I will tell you a truth . Anjali this is not my first time I am seeing you . I mean it wasn't at party I am seeing you  years back I have already met you and there is no chance that you remember me but I remember everything like crystal clear.  " Said me.

" You already met Anjali I mean me . When ? Where ? How ? " She was so panicked and asking so many questions at a time.

" That's all old matters why you are bothered about that ? My mom was the main problem but it's solved before she put some conditions infront of me like  whoever girl I marry  she has to be from a good family. Money or background are not a problem but she should have a reputed family . When it comes to these kind of matters our family is bit orthodox. Even Rajveer he married someone according to his will but just after two years they got divorced and do you know what all commotions we faced back then. But Anjali you don't have to think about anything just be like this thats enough for me "  I could understand but why she is so insecure about these matters. Did she think that I am courting her because of her background. But I told her it's not like that .
After dropping her I went back to my home.

" So tell me do you like her or not  ? " Mom , Rithika and me were having dinner and this is the perfect time to ask her decision.

" It's your selection there is no space for my opinion " she said .

" Mom what happened?  you didn't like her ? When she was a child you  always doted on her and mocked me that one day you will marry off her to me " I said with a pouted lips.

" Rahul, ok to be frank I am not that much impressed with her. I mean she is good but something was off . That cute little Anjali which I know she wasn't there in her. When you said that she is my old Anjali I was really surprised because she was like what I have imagined by all these years " said my mom.

" Of course she will change. That cute little Anjali of yours were only 7 or 8 year's old. Now she is grown up already and now  she is 23 years old a smart matured girl. Then why didn't you said anything when she was here . You were so good with her even let her enter into your own territory kitchen . You never allowed Rithika to mess with your kitchen then why her ?  . " Said me .

" That's the main problem bhayya " Rithika interrupted.

" What ? " I looked at her.

" She is soo good that's the main problem. We can't find any fault in her and she was doing everything so perfectly . You didn't notice before ?  mom didn't let her make tea because Anjali was doing everything perfectly like the way she wanted . Mom doesn't even have to teach her anything even after   you marry her " said Rithika with a chuckle.

" Mom is that a reason ? It's good na  you don't have to waste your energy and you can be relaxed that your son got a perfect wife who can help him with his work as well as she can be a good daughter in law for this house. " Said me.

" I didn't say anything like you can't marry her. I just said my opinion. It's your life you can decide . If you are happy then I am also happy. What I said that I didn't feel any attachment when she talked to me that's may be because it was our first meeting after some time it can change but for one thing I am really happy that this is  first time you brought someone into this house thank you so much " one thing was sure that she is not happy with Anjali but still she approved because I liked her.

But thinking about it mom was right. The Anjali which I know was far different from this Anjali. But after all we are humans anyone can change at any time . She is not that little kid anymore but Anjali Raheja who is going to take the director's position of Raheja groups she can't remain as sweet and humble one if she wants to rule an empire.

Today Anjali was going back to USA and I was with her for her departure .

" Thank you so much for everything and I really enjoyed it . You never gave me a chance to complain or nag at you . Why you are so perfect my future husband Rahul Yash Singania " I was surprised to hear that from her. Future husband ? But I liked it.

" Who said I am perfect ? I am not perfect baby but I am glad to hear that you don't have any complaints about me . For that I can give you a gift " I put a wicked smile on my face and looked at her.

" What another gift ? Rahul no this is a public place not here " she took a step back from me. I walked slowly towards her side and she shut her eyes tightly. I take a round and put something across her neck ,the chain I designed specially for her.

" Why you are always so naughty baby ? How is it ? " I asked.

" It's beautiful , it's amazing no actually I don't have anything to say Rahul you are full of surprises. Don't do this to me . " She became so  emotional suddenly.

" I am glad you like it. See it has your name Anjali " I showed her the pendant. But her face changed after seeing that .

" Why ? What happened ? You don't like it ? " I became panicked.

" No I love it. A fear generated inside me from yesterday onwards " she said while hugging me .

" Fear ? What kind of fear ? " I asked.

" It's like I don't deserve anything that you are giving . Your love, care , all these expensive gifts. What will I do if I  get habituated by all these and  you leave me one day then how I am going to live?  " she looked at me with those teary eyes.

" Why you are thinking like that ? Who is going to leave you ? There is no chance for that. But I have only one request, don't try to cheat me . Only thing I hate this world is someone lying to me and cheat behind my back. Even if you have done anything wrong just tell me the truth I will try to understand your situation but covering up your mistakes with lie I will never forgive anyone for that until I see their complete destruction. " I mean it

That was true . Dare to lie then face the animal inside me thats the only thing I want say.

" Next time when we meet I would have become the assistant director of Raheja groups. " Said Anjali.

" Advance wishes from me , most probably by next month we are setting our meeting with Rahejas for our new project. That day there may be some discussion about the merging . " Said me .

" Next time when I meet your dad I am definitely going to take permission from him to marry you. What you say ? " She was okay with my decision because her smile showed everything .

"It's time , okay then bye " she kissed on my cheeks and went for checking.

Everything happened so fast . By next month we will start our work with Rahejas and Mr Rajeev Raheja will announce his decision about merging with us. Merging is a top secret until next month. I don't want to face any headaches till then.

Aleena's pov.

Today test results of Arushi will be out . Aadarsh's mom was doing well but still they need someone by their side as a strength. I took a half-day leave and went to hospital.

" I know you already informed me  not to come but what should I do I can't concentrate  on my work even if I am at office . " I said to Arpita whom I saw at hospital.

" Actually di I am glad that you came. I told you about my cousin brother he was about to come with me today but he got busy with his work. It's only been few days he started to work at company so if he demand for a leave that won't give a good impression right ? " Said Arpita.

" It's ok I am here don't worry " I consoled her.

After waiting for ten minutes a nurse called us into doctors cabin.  The doctor seems to be a good and warm person who is  in his middle forties. What I heard from others he is the top cardiologist in Mumbai and one of the best in whole India.  Me and Arpita grabbed a chair and sat there.

" We had already run all the tests that needed to know about her condition and to be frank ....." Silence for some minutes.

" What's the matter sir ? " I asked.

" Her condition is not so good . Withstanding with medicines that stage is already over and the only thing left is a heart valve surgery. " He completed.

" Surgery ? " I was bit confused

" You both should already know about this surgery is the only way . According to me if you would have done this before then there wouldn't have this much complications. Now it's risky as well as bit expensive . But only hope we have is her age , she is young so that healing time will be shorter than grown up persons. What do you want ? Proceed with surgery or taking any opinion from other doctors " he looked at us and asked

" No it's not like that . Money is the problem. How much would it will cost approximately ? " I asked.

" For surgery it will be around fifteenth to twenty lakhs and after surgery she has to stay in icu for around four, five weeks that will be according to her recovery time, then medicine , other expenses total it will be around thirty to forty lakhs . For correct amount you can contact our administrative department . " Said doctor .

" Forty lakhs ? " How ? Arpita was holding my hands tightly because she can burst into tears at any moment. She found her strength in me and I was one of her hope.

" If you decided to proceed with surgery then you have to pay atleast half of the surgery amount . We will start surgery at next moment. She is only fifteen so other problems like sugar, BP are not a problem. If you again wait for some more time even surgery can't cure her . So think wisely and decide " we left his cabin like two lifeless souls.

Arpita fell on the floor and started to cry already and I don't know what to do . Forty lakhs was not a small amount especially at my current condition. I hold Arpita and went to Aadarsh's mom's room.

She should have guessed from the tears of Arpita that something was wrong. I explained her everything and as expected they both began to cry. I don't get anything to say or don't know how to console them . I never faced such a situation in my life.

I think the most cruel side of mine was raising inside me.

" Aleen you don't have to mess with this . You did everything that you could do . Now whatever their problem is only upto them . So think practically and get a way to escape from this situation " my mind was chanting this to me for many times but it was hurting deep inside my heart.

" They won't live happily , who ever killed my son they won't live a prosperous life. They got my son's blood on their hands then how are they going to live " Aadarsh's mom began to curse who killed her son and those words directly or indirectly hits at middle of my heart. She was right I got his blood on my hands then how can live my life happily.

" Mom please " Arpita was also crying miserably.

"Then you tell me what should I do. If he wouldn't have gone there and met those people who killed my son then he would have been living a good life here . If my son was with me then he won't let Arushi die like this. " Everything she said was piercing into my heart directly.

" What does she mean by that ? " I looked at Arpita.

" Actually he was alrrwydy began to collect money for her surgery and it was almost enough for everything. That time he went to America so that he can make rest of money quickly . But everything went upside down after his death . His sudden death , mom got sick , her medicines actually it lead us to even poverty " she couldn't complete her last words before that she began to cry.

Poverty ? Just a small greed of mine had lead a family to poverty ? I couldn't say anything further I just left from their room silently.
