¢нαρтєя тєη - мαℓєƒι¢єηт

Well this is going to be interesting, I noted, my eyes landing on the black haired boy that was staring at us next to his aunty, his eyes holding hidden feelings.

Just as our visions crossed, a loud roar was heard, along with a car appearing out of my vision making both of us look towards the red vehicle.

Glancing back at Cameron, I could make out familiarity in his eyes, his face softening at the sight of the car.

The moment it parked, a lady dressed in formal clothes got out, her red pencil skirt matching the car, her white button up shirt making her brown hair more prominent, along with the tan she had.

As she walked towards the commotion, her eyes scanning the scene as if trying to find something, or someone, I realised, as her eyes fell on Cameron and Claudia, both of them walking towards her wearing a sad smile.

I turned my eyes, and spreading my arms around the two boys that were currently holding me, hugged them back, before separating myself and saying, "Let's go and meet our new family," I winked.

Walking towards them, I realised the woman that had gotten out of the car was carrying a small girl, probably around six or seven, who was wearing a matching outfit.

That's so cute! My teenage self gushed.

I had to concentrate.

I wasn't here to act my age, I was here to protect, to be a bodyguard.

You mean to babysit them, right?

"So, you must be miss Elson, it's nice to meet you." I said, trying to act as polite as possible.

She turned around, and looking at me with a wide smile, she answered, "Yes. And you must be the girl that saved my family! I really appreciate it,"

And destroyed your garden, I wanted to add.

"Yes, well." the director suddenly appeared next to me, her hands together in front of her black coat as she explained the situation.

Is it that cold to be wearing animal fur? I asked myself, not taking any notice of what they were saying since I knew how it was going to develop.

Elisabeth, Cameron's mom, would deny the need for me to be there, the director would insist, using her short years of life experience to fullest in order to make her understand the grave danger they are all in. Then, the woman would ask for some time to think about it, and we would then find her five minutes later crying behind her house, not knowing what to do.

"And that's when you attack," the old director said, explaining his plan for making citizens do as we told them, "it's quite easy to manipulate people, you see. You just have to find their weak spots."

"Alu," Elsu whispered, nudging me with his elbow, "They're talking to you,"

I snapped out of my thoughts, dropping down from cloud nine into reality in the matter of milliseconds.

"Pardon?"

"I was saying, that you would be staying in their house for the next year or son. Basically until we find out who's behind the threat, and get rid of it." She clarified.

Looking towards the family, I met Cameron's eyes, but quickly averted them towards the mother, that was nodding, and the small girl in her arms that seemed to be jumping in glee.

"Of course. I'll try and find them as quickly as possible, so I'll be here for the minimum time," I added.

"Oh, you can stay for however long you want! I owe you that much for saving my family," The mother reapeated, pushing her daughter up the hip as she sent me a genuine smile, "and don't worry about the garden, we needed to restore it anyway,"

That was not expected.

"Mama, is she going to be my big sister?" The small child asked, her voice full of excitement making her brother roll his eyes.

"Yes, hon'. She's going to be living with us!"

To that, the small girl jumped in excitement, her mother nearly dropping her as she laughed in happiness.

The director's phone suddenly went off, the buzzing getting louder and louder to alert her about a problem in the company, either financial, political or a failed mission.

"Well, I have to pick this up. We'll get a place ready for you two-" she said, pointing towards Ungeld and Elsu behind me, "but in the meantime, do you think you could resolve this mission? Some people are so unreliable sometimes..."

Turning around, I followed both winged boys, Ungeld knocking into me knowing I would hit Elsu and he would knock me back.

"Not you, Alueda. You're going to have some family time,"

No way.

It had never happened to me before.

I had never been told to leave Ungeld and Elsu to go on a mission alone, mainly because they could act like total babies sometimes, and having me there, I could usually keep them in check.

"Come on, go!" Geld said, not even turning around as he did shooing motions with his hands.

Idiot.

I turned around, dragging my feet towards the family that was chatting excitedly about something.

"So, you're stuck with us now, uh?" Cameron asked, a hint of playfulness in his voice.

"I know! This is worse than being in the battle of Stalingrad. On the German's side. Alone. Unharmed." I said, making a big deal of the situation.

"I'm not even going to comment on how you know what that is," he said, letting me enter the family circle.

"You remind me of Maleficent... But with blue wings... And definitely more badass." Said the small girl, her eyes wide as she looked up at me from the floor.

"Who?"

"You don't know who Maleficent is? You know, the girl with giant wings in Sleeping beauty?" Cameron asked, his face slightly incredulous, matching his sister's.

Crossing my arms, I sighed, "I repeat. Who?"

"We are so watching that. Now." Ivy proclaimed, not leaving any doubt that she was a daughter of an important business woman.

Geez, she's worse than Mavwu talking about packing.

"Well, the house is clean now... And we do have a copy in my room," Elisabeth suddenly spoke.

"Then it's decided! Film night, here we come!"

"It's not even four o'clock," I muttered, but followed them into the now clean house, a bright smile on my face.
