Clint Barton
Wanda wasn't really expecting what had happened till yet. Sure, no one else probably was, but she still felt like she should have known. She didn't want to be stuck in a theatre with only two people she knew. One who she despised with every fibre of her being and would kill at a moment's notice- Tony Stark, and one very annoying (but Wanda still loved him) twin Pietro.
She'd been practising her powers when she came. Telekinesis was hard, but she'd been progressing. She'd started learning how to use her powers without getting tired, and it was achieving results.
Wanda was angry though. She did not want to be here. She didn't need to watch something about Tony Stark and all the other people who were supposed to protect people but couldn't even protect her parents. Those people didn't care.
Wanda focused on finding their weaknesses. She'd take them down, kill them. Especially Tony stark. Maybe then she'd finally feel good, happy even, and at peace with her parent's death. Tony Stark was the one that ripped her childhood away from her, and she was going to get back to him on it, whatever she had to do.
Wanda did feel sympathy for the young kid, peter. He'd lost his Aunt, who Wanda presumed was a mother figure to him. He was young and seemed to not know how cold and harsh the world was. Though Wanda was pretty sure that Peter was starting to realise how he was delusional, the world was never actually sympathetic. It was cold and harsh, and it was most of all, unfair.
She admired the woman- Natasha. She was strong and knew how to fight, how to win, and how to get her way. Wanda wished she was like that.
'Next, we'll be seeing Clint Barton.'
Wanda sighed slightly in annoyance because she wanted to know what was happening to Pietro and her. She still sure as hell didn't believe she'd teamed up with Captain America and was actually helping him in the future.
The only thought that ran through Clint's mind was that he hoped that they didn't see his childhood.
He's played by Jeremy Renner.
"Well you look grouchy," Natasha said.
"No I don't. I'm smiling, see that," Clint pointed at his face waving his arms widely.

Clint is walking and pulls out his sword.
Clint is swinging his sword and Maya is shown.
"What are you doing Clint?" Natasha murmured, having a bad feeling about where this was heading.
"I don't know Natasha." Clint's hands were shaking in disbelief because sure he worked for shield but he didn't know why he would put up a suit to hide his identity and do that.
Kate: You're kind of my favourite avenger so...
"I'm her what?" Clint questions in disbelief. Since when did he become an avenger? He was just a guy with a bow and arrow who didn't miss. The team had Natasha- he wasn't going to explain that, it was obvious, a guy with a suit that he made himself, a super soldier, Bruce Banner- a super smart guy who was also the hulk, and a god.
He also remembered that he'd been possessed by Loki. He felt like trash thinking of what he did during that whole time. He'd known he was doing it, but he didn't feel any guilt. He'd killed so many people during that one time itself, he didn't think he deserved to be an avenger. Sending a sharp glare to Loki, who looked pissed that his plans for world-domination had failed, Clint resisted the urge to punch the god in the face.
"Favourite avenger, duh," Natasha said, smiling. "Why don't you believe it Clint," she whispered at the end, sensing that something was wrong. She knew him almost as well as Phil, who'd known Clint the best.
"How Nat? I got possessed by Loki and killed so many damn agents. Why do you think I deserve it? I got you killed!" His voice had risen at the end, shaking. Thinking of Natasha's death gripped fear in his heart and he felt like he wanted to claw his throat out.
"I told you again and again Clint. Please let me respect my choice. I did it for you. And," Natasha added hurriedly before Clint could interrupt, "I know that my judgement is never wrong. If I did it for you, then I knew that I should have done it. Also, Loki controlled you."
"Nat," Clint's voice broke, "I knew what I was doing. I felt no guilt at all. I just did it."
"You didn't know what you were doing. You thought you were doing the right thing, and it may seem like that's bad, and it may be bad, but you wouldn't have done it if Loki wasn't controlling you."
"How'd you know that?"
Natasha's answer was simply, "Because I know you. And Clint, you know how to fight. You're one of the best. You've defeated me. I don't like to admit it, but we both know it's true." She grasped his hands, "you do deserve to be an avenger."
Clint wanted to break down because he didn't, he didn't, deserve to be an avenger. He nodded slightly, though Natasha didn't seem to believe his lie, and turned back to the screen.
Clint had a sword at Kazi's face. He knocks Kazi down.
Clint's holding a knife to Kazi's obvious shock.
Clint smirked, knowing his type of thing. Good to see his skills (very mediocre ones in only Clint's opinion, despite what other people said,) were still there. Yelena nodded in appreciation, though hoping that she wouldn't be shown at all, having a feeling her future self would try to kill him.
"Wow Barton," Tony shouted, despite not being too far away.
Kate: You're Hawkeye.
Clint pulls out his bow.
Clint fights with a guy.
Clint fights with Maya.
Clint fights with Natasha.
"We should stop fighting each other," Clint pointed out.
"You really should, you're not helping with telling people how to build very good friendly relationships." Bruce pointed out.
"Not that anybody would see this, but yes we should. Fighting doesn't help develop friends." Clint nodded in agreement with Bruce.
"Totaly not like our relationship started with you and me fighting. No why would you think that?" Natasha said sarcastically.
"Whatever," Clint mumbled.
clint has more scenes and then shoots at a robot.
His arrow meets another arrow in midair.
Kate is shocked.
Clint nodded, and like an old man said, "See kids, this is how you do stuff. You don't wear some insane robotic metal or turn into green people or turn into gigantic people or shoot lighting. Go with classic bows and arrows." He starts laughing midway, and everyone shoots him annoyed looks.
Natasha shook her head fondly, patting Clint. "yes old man, that's what we do." clint pouts at the very unnecessary nickname.
Clint shoots more arrows and uses an arrow to trip Natasha.
Clint's hands start shaking and tears pool up in the corner of his eyes, He blinks them away and pretends that he's okay because he's a spy, spy, spy, spy and spies don't show emotions. If he'd fought harder, then Natasha would be alive, not the other way round. He should have, but he didn't. He'd always been the better fighter, so he should have won. He should have jumped off. Natasha deserved way better.
Clint shoots his arrows more and then Tony blasts one of the arrows.
Clint: You didn't see that coming.
Pietro scowled darkly, and Wanda suspected he didn't like people saying that back at him. She gave him a teasing grin, and he mumbled that it wasn't fair.
Clint and T'challa fight.
Clint hides behind a tree.
Yelena puts a widow bite to Clint's neck (that was Yelena right?)
Clint groans. "Oh come on, I do not need to fight another black widow."
Natasha looked worried as well, while Yelena was hiding a guilty look, already guessing it was her, along with the glint of blonde hair.
Clint and Kate free fall into the sea.
"We need to do that," Shuri whispered, hoping that T'challa wouldn't overhear.
She whipped out a notebook and wrote all the ideas she had gotten that Ned, Peter and her could do. Shuri would also drag MJ along because Shuri thought the girl seemed super cool
"Good idea," Peter nodded.
More scenes with Clint.
"Damn," Tony whistled, "That's cool." Steve nodded in agreement, impressed.
Clint smiled a bit. Gamora nodded slightly, and Nebula might have been impressed, but it's not like she would say it. No way in the universe.
Clint landed in a pose.
"Looks like everyone is a poser here," Yelena comments. "Welcome to the poser group Clint Barton. Till now, there's Tony Stark,"
Tony turned to look at her surprised.
"You haven't seen yourself Stark, and then there's Natasha," Natasha mumbled that she wasn't a poser, "and now there's you."
"That's only once. Natasha is rubbing off on me," Clint defended.
"Hmm, understandable, you're in the group, 'Natasha influence' from now. There's me, Melina, and you." Yelena smiled at Natasha's face.
Clint banged against the bars.
"Damn Clint, I knew one day you were going to go to jail," Natasha said.
"What's he done," Tony asked, looking interested.
"Nope, we're not discussing that, not at all," Clint cut it, knowing the number of times he'd 'accidently' destroyed places. No one was hurt, but still, police found it annoying for some reason.
Clint jumped off a burning building.
"That's cool, Natasha, can I do it?" Yelena asked Natasha.
"No way, not happening Yelena." Yelena sighed, looking disappointed, but decided she'd do it later.
Kate watches Clint shoot an arrow in midair.
Natasha and Clint are hanging off the cliff, Clint holding Natasha desperately.
A sob escapes Clint, and he ducks his face into his hands. he should have been faster. he should have been faster. he should have been faster. He failed Natasha. he failed his best friend. He got her killed. Guilt flooded through him again and he clawed at his throat desperately. Natasha shouldn't have died. He should have. He should have fought harder.
Hands removed his hands from his throat gently, and Natasha spoke, "Clint," she paused for a moment, "it's not your fault. I know you. You gave me a chance. You were the one who finally took me away from my endless nightmare."
Natasha hugged him. "You saved my sister Barton," Yelena said, somewhat hesitantly, "you gave her a chance she deserved. Natasha's death wasn't your fault," Yelena clenched her fists, "I'm- we're going to save her. make sure she doesn't die." There was such finality in her voice, that Clint felt like he could do it this time around.
"Like you told me, you deserve it, Clint. You do- and I'm not going to listen to anything else." Natasha, Clint and Yelena got into another group hug, a million emotions between them. But they knew they were family.
Yelena talks to Kate.
Kate defended Clint.
Clint winced and smiled at the same time. He was happy that Kate defended him, but Yelena's words- they felt true. Like she wasn't lying. Maybe Yelena wasn't. Maybe she was just angry. Clint didn't know what to feel.
"Do assassins and spies change their hairstyle every day?" Bucky questioned (he's from the 1940s right now) noticing how Clint, Natasha and Yelena seemed to keep having different hairstyles.
"No we don't." Yelena muttered, though she quite liked changing her hair. She liked her onscreen self's hairstyle. She did have a bad feeling about what was going to happen next.
Yelena: MY SISTER, DIED, BECAUSE OF HIM!
Clint's body started shaking because to hear the raw truth from someone who comforted him was terrible.
Before his guilt could escalate, Yelena butted in, "I didn't know the whole story, Clint Barton. It's not your fault." Natasha nodded along with her sister's words.
Some more scenes.
Wanda is looking scared in the corner and Clint pulls out his arrows. He opens the door and goes outside.
Wanda looked at Clint, confused as to why he didn't kill her. He didn't seem to hate her either, and her future self seemed to not hate Barton either. Confused, she stared at Barton.
Clint and Kate fight.
Clint shoots an arrow without looking.
Shuri nodded appreciatively, and Ned and Peter decided that Hawkeye was freaking cool. And badass. He didn't need something special to be cool, just like Black Widow.
"Dam katniss," Tony said, "Good job,"
"Thanks for the reminder that being a spy is my job," Clint said, "though I didn't need it."
Hope you liked the chapter!
