Leah noticed Ethan shift in his seat and then glared at his brother. She was sure that it was because of the question. She cleared her throat and looked at Edward with a daring look.

"Sir..." She started and she could see that his eyes darkened at that and she felt his deep breath but she didn't let that affect her even though it was screaming inside her go give her Alpha the attention but she wasn't sure how to do justice to that.

"I have worked anywhere on a professional level because I was too busy with completing my graduation but..."She licked her lips and straightened in her seat and looked pointedly at him because she wanted to make sure that he heard her perfectly fine.

"Everyone got to start somewhere so I think this would be a excellent opportunity for me." She answered to which she heard Edward huff something under his breath which she was sure was about her. She refrained from rolling her eyes.

"Yeah" Ethan said with a smitten smile on his face and he looked a  bit proud of her. She preened at the attention and turned to look at him.

Meanwhile Edward cleared his throat to which she turned around and looked at Edward. He handed out her file and she prayed that they would select her so that she can finally earn something.

Not like she didn't like living at Kat but their apartment wasn't the best and also how much longer will she be dependent on her? Eventually Kat would get tired as well of feeding her. And she didn't like to take favours but she was from Kat so this job can finally pay off her debt and she can find a place of her own.

"Okay Ms. Matthews we will call you if you are selected that is. Thank you for your time." He spat with so much venom and hate that she shivered just looking at him. Why was he like this? She really prayed that if she does get selected Ethan should be her only boss but that was not possible because the advert clearly stated that it was for a position of personal assistant for both of them and thats why she was a but worried at that.

"Thank you for applying. It was lovely interviewing you Ms Matthews" Ethan said forwarding his hand towards her. She blushed a bit but quickly recovered and shook his hand. She noticed as soon as his hand engulfed her she felt shivers and butterflies in her stomach just by his mere touch. Her toes curled as she noticed that his hand was twice large as her and it looked so large compared to his.

"The pleasure was all mine Mr Romano." She smiled and released his hand and then forwarded her hand towards Edward. He glared at her but grudgingly took her hand and shook it. She swore she felt breath rush out of her at his touch and the hairs on the back of her stand at his touch.

He was looking at her intently and she noticed how lines formed on his forehead and his nose scrunched as if he was trying to suppress something. She noticed how his hands were rough against hers. She couldn't believe that his hand was huge as well. Of course what she was expecting?

"Thank you sir." She whispered as she let his hand go and she saw that his nose flared at that but he gave her a nod and then settled back in his seat. She looked at them one last time before picking up her file and walking out of there.

She got a call back two days later and she received the news that she was selected. It was a bit surprising for her because she was sure that Edward would have never agreed to this.

But anyhow she was excited for the job and the prospect that it was her first job.

She told Kat about it when she got back from her work. And to say she was excited would be an understatement. She was squealing with happiness beacause they can finally work in the same office even though their departments are different.

"You know..." Kay started to which Leah looked up from the laptop. Fortunately Kat had a laptop which she doesn't use and instead of throwing it away or selling it she kept in locked in some corner of the room. When Leah had asked her she quietly handed out to her like it wasn't the big deal.

"Hmm?" Leah questioned probing her to continue but she was looking somewhere else, lost in her thought to which Leah leaned forward and patted at her hand. Kat shook her head and turned towards her.

"I was thinking that we should celebrate but we'll get to that part later. Tell me about your interview." Kat asked to which Leah narrowed her eyes because she was sure that it was not about her interview but about her bosses. She wouldn't have minded that before but now knowing that they were her mates made her blood boil.

Omegas were a bit insecure like that and she had every reason to be because one of her mate hate her and doesn't even want a mate. If that continues she has to break the bond with him and it's the most painful thing for the omega. First it's an insult on their character because Alpha broke the bond and secondly the bond which is once broken cannot heal quickly. It takes a lot of time and in this time if the omega doesn't get over the sadness it may lead to death. It's very painful procedure.

She never witnessed it physically but she heard from her mom, the gossips in her town and how one of them broke the bond and later had to suffer because of that. She couldn't believe the main that omega had to endure. But according to her mother the omega recovered quickly and was back on the feet, searching for other mates.

"It was awesome of course." She said not even elaborating on her word to which Kat narrowed her eyes and glared at her.

"Not that but our bosses. They conducted your interview, right?" Kat asked to which Leah just nodded her head and then got back to her typing. She was editing some things in her email she had to respond them with.

The Company Secretary had sent her the salary package and all the beneficial included so all she had to do was go through with it and reply.

"Yes and they were good as well. Professional." She said with a shrug and got back to typing. She didn't know why she didn't tell Kat about them being her mates. It's not like she didn't trust her but she just didn't feel like it. And knowing Kat she will be all hyped up and excited and may accidentally blurt out to some body and if Edward finds out about it she would be a dead meat. That man can kill her. Okay maybe she's exaggerating but it can be a possibility.

"You're no fun."Kat huffed and stood up from the seat to which Leah laughed. She then stared back at the words written on the mail and as she was about to type something she heard Kat mumble something but it was muffled by her shuffling around with the utensil in her hand.

"What did you say?" Leah asked after her sound died down. Kat turned towards her and looked at her with a pointed look.

"I heard someone say that Ethan looked very happy throughout the day and he didn't even snap at anybody so I was hoping that you may know something." Kat mumbled and then turned around to take out something. Leah wasn't sure what she was making because they already were going out, right?

" Aren't we going out to celebrate?" Leah asked eyeing the celery in her hand warily and then at her back. Kat turhed around and nodded her head.

"We are. This is just my tomorrow's breakfast. Don't worry." She explained to which Leah nodded her head.

But the thing Kat said earlier about Ethan being the happiest and not snapping at anyone made her heart feel warm. At least one of her mate was happy with her.

"Anyways when are you
joining?" Kat asked turning her head over her shoulder to which Leag cleared the throat too engrossed in typing and then looked back at her and held a finger at her.

After completely writing the email she hit send and then looked back at her friend who was chopping something. She raised from her seat and walked towards her.

"Officially I have to start from tomorrow. I'll have a mock training week I guess but the contract will be ready in a week..." She answered to which Kat enthusiastically bobbed her head.

"I'm so excited..."

Leah wished that she could say the same.
