Let Me Introduce Myself

"ALEEX!"

I snickered leaning against the trunk with a piece of angel food cake in my hand, crumbs around my mouth.

Edgar was barking at me to get down and return the chunk I'd 'ripped' out of his cake.

"You know, you really are the best baker in the world Edgar, this is Devine~." I hummed taking another bite. "Although, I really don't think you want this back." I said around the desert in my mouth, this made him growl.

He really wasn't a bad sort, Edgar always snuck some left overs of his sweets to the kids of the camp when he could. But since I had turned 18 he'd stopped giving me crumbs, so I occasionally took some. Only once and a while though, nothing that would make him report me to Dominic. Besides, he knew Angel food cake was my favorite, it was his fault for making it so fresh and soft.

I finished off the piece before tossing down a couple of gold coins. Edgar stumbled in his words as he caught the coins with a confused look.

"Thanks for the treat!" I saluted before jumping down off the branch.

I hit the ground with an almost silent thud before walking off calmly. I'd recently been called for a mission, so I was feeling generous today.

We were always paid for completing missions. I'd get those coins back and more if I was successful, and I don't mean to brag but, I've never failed a mission.

Oh how rude of me, I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Alexander Janson, name really rolls off the tongue doesn't it? Anyways, this is Camp WitchHazel, we call it that because of the witch hazel that grows in the area.

Yes we're Rouges, but we don't mind the title, we're proud of it actually. No Omegas, No Alphas, just rouges, living together.

I know that sounds weird, Rouges, working together, but we do. We're kinda like a revolution. See these missions we go on are to get rid of the chain of command in packs.

That sounds bad, but we like to think of it as freeing wolves, especially Omegas, from being picked on, looked down upon. Our techniques are questionable at first glance, but they work.

Basically our job is to 'seduce/marry' the Alpha of the Pack, and then kill them.

It's harder to fight someone you care about, and the Alpha's won't even see it coming. Which is why I am a natural, seeing as I'm great with the ladies. But what really makes me the best is that I don't really care about any of the girls I've 'dated' they all swoon and cry, but I'm done with them easily.

And the fact that I can make myself look twice or half my age with small touch ups, helps my case a lot, especially in quick getaways. I'm still trying to get people to call me Shape shifter, or Chameleon, but my original name is just so known, it's starting to become a title on it's own.

I strolled up to the head cabin and knocked on the door.

Normally I'd make a grand entrance where ever I go, but this was Phoenix's cabin. I knew better than to surprise her, she was a bit of a pyromaniac.

The door opened and instantly, the smell of candles filled my nose. She always kept at least one lit in her cabin.

"You called me?" I smiled as the bleach blonde stood from her desk off to the side of the room.

"Yes, come in Alex." She beckoned with a smile.

I walked in and shut the door behind me, walking over and nodding to her.

She nodded back and gestured to the seat opposite hers in front of the desk. I took it and leaned back into it.

"We recently took down an Alpha and his mate a few weeks ago." She told me, but I already knew this.

"It's was a great plan." I complimented with a wink. Phoenix hummed with a happy smile, she loved being complimented, especially when it was genuine.

"Yes it was, and their eldest left the pack to be with her mate, how touching." She rolled her eyes. I smirked softly.

"And their pack members are filling in?" I asked, but Phoenix's smile straightened into a line.

"No."

I frowned at that, confused.

"But, they don't have an Alpha anymore." I said, sitting up now.

"Actually, they do." She told me, running her fingers along her desk as she approached me.

"Turns out the couple had another daughter, one younger. She's a stubborn sort, refusing to leave. Word of her brave act of taking on the title of Alpha has already spread and suitors are coming this way." She told me and I felt a smile creep onto my lips.

"You want me to take her out?" I asked in surprise, this pack was close to the camp, real close. It was important that it fell and the pack members joined, or else we'd have to move. But moving an entire town wasn't so easy, this wasn't like when we'd started out as a small 'pack' of wolves. We couldn't move so easy anymore, if we were found, we'd have to scatter. And there were a lot of parentless pups in this town.

"I trust no one else with this task. She's young, inexperienced in love, and I think, you may be the perfect person to 'teach' her of it." She smiled.

I jumped up from my seat. "I'd be glad to accept this mission." I said quickly.

"I knew you would be." She hummed. "Normally I'd let you be as quick or as slow as you like, I know you enjoy toying with girls, but. This is a rather important job." She told me and I nodded.

"I understand that, I'll do my best." I told her confidently.

Phoenix walked to my side, setting a hand on my shoulder.

"She's a good reader, I can tell just by looking at her, I need you to be a 'genuine' as possible when around her. Understood?" She asked and I nodded again, that was my specialty after all.

That's probably why she trusted me with this particular mission so much. Young, and a good reader of emotions. I'd dealt with both before, but the fact that she wasn't experienced in romance meant this would be easy for me. All I had to do was break down a few trust walls and she'd be pudding in my hands.

"I won't let you down." I assured her and she brushed the cake crumbs off my chin.

"I know you won't~."
