CHAPTER SEVEN: THE BIOLOGY TEACHER.

Rayna and Scott got into the classroom once all the students had gone. At that moment, the woman was trying to get Liam and Blair out of the classroom, but she went silent when Scott played the message.

The woman looked stunned before approaching Scott slowly and taking the phone between her hands, closing it, and cutting the audio off. She looked at Scott and, then, she looked at Rayna. "Where did you find that?"

After they explained all the situation to the teacher twice, she was still denying all the accusations. Rayna sighed, knowing that it was going to take more time than what they expected to make the woman confess.

"I already told you, I don't know what the Primitives are. I don't know what the Anuk-whatever is. I was only trying to call my daughter, where did you find that?"

"You said you were in a pack," Liam commented. "That was you on the phone, that's what you said."

"And I don't know why you care about my private life. I'm the teacher, you're the students. I don't go stalking your personal lives besides these walls! You shouldn't do it with mine!"

"Could you calm down?" Rayna asked, starting to get upset with the woman. "We wouldn't be interested in your life if it wasn't because it could affect us as much as it could affect the rest."

"Did you get into contact with any of them before they died?" Scott asked.

"What-? What are you talking about?"

"You really should sit down." Rayna insisted, taking the woman by her shoulders but she got away.

"I'm sorry, miss Finch, but your family was attacked and they are dead."

"Dead? They-. No, they cannot be dead because-. They were, they were only-, they were in the woods, they were hidding. They were afraid."

"We found this phone in one body," Scott explained while Rayna took a step back. She knew she wasn't good dealing with people's emotions, so she decided not to say anything. "Three men, two kids."

      "What happened to my daughter?"

"Well, there was another body, but-"

      "But what?"

"We couldn't identify it. The skin was ripped off of the muscle. There was no DNA. The pack's tattoo was still there."

"Ok, I'm sorry, but this-. No, this doesn't make any sense. I mean, biology doesn't work like that." The teacher insisted and Rayna bit her lip and looked away. She had to be a biology teacher.

"That's what the Anuk-ite does," Liam spoke. "Finds a body and steals its face. It steals all the person's identity."

"Not my daughter," the woman cried, "no, not to my daughter, no!"

      "There's a way to know."

"I won't do that," the woman denied immediately.

"Just call her and tell her not to go near the institute. Tell her that there's something or someone hunting people like her."

"You've got to stop talking about it," she begged, bringing her arms up.

"If she appears, you'll at least know what happened to your family, what happened to your daughter."

"I'll do it in your place." Liam offered and the woman gave him the phone. "Which's the name? What's your daughter's name?"

"Quinn. The name of my daughter's Quinn." The woman replied and Rayna frowned when Liam, Scott, and Blair exchanged a look between them.
