CHAPTER FOUR: DESTROYING PERFECT THINGS.

Rayna ran behind Peter when she heard him close the door. "Fucking hell, Peter. You cannot be serious! Are you actually going to leave your daughter here?"

Peter stopped, looking at the girl before sighing. "I felt it, Ray. I saw your face when you had your vision. We cannot fight against that thing."

"You are so sure that whoever fights against this thing will die, and you are still leaving Malia to fight it."

"I tried to convince her." He shrugged his shoulders before leaving the building.

Rayna sat on the sofa. Her rage was making her eyes shine in deep red while she clawed into a pillow, but everything went away when she heard an explosion.

She ran outside of the building until she found Peter covered in black, holding a wheel. "Hunters." Was his only word before starting to walk, looking for someone that Rayna could easily guess who.

The living myth followed him, a big smile on her face while Peter felt his ego being destroyed. "Don't say anything."

"Is there any chance we can get that army, Scott?" The youngest boy of the group asked.

      "You're looking at it."

"I hope this thing doesn't feed off of desperation because this room stinks of it," Peter said when he walked in and Rayna hit him on the arm before looking at the group. Scott, Malia, Scott's beta and a boy and a girl she didn't know—but she could tell they were humans—were also there.

      "What happened?" Scott asked.

"Peter wanted to change his style." Rayna mocked, and the man looked at her before showing the wheel. Scott smiled at the brunette, finding her funny.

"Hunters. They destroyed my perfect vehicle. Then, if this thing had anything to do with it, I'd like to see that its death it's appropriately painful."

"I thought you had two cars," Malia commented and Rayna smiled when Peter held the keys up. But her smile faded and she rolled her eyes when he threw the keys to the floor.

"There are going to be consequences to pay."

Rayna got into the Jeep without hesitation. All the eyes were on her when she asked Scott if she could go with him. But that didn't stop the girl from achieving her aim and there she was: inside the Jeep that stinked of Scott. . . and a human.

Scott got into the Jeep nervously. His eyes locked on the girl and he smiled at her. Rayna couldn't help but smile too. His smile was too contagious.

"Scott, I need to know everything about all of you. I heard rumors, too many actually. But that doesn't mean they're true. Besides, I don't want to get stuck again on the Hale family drama. It's too much to handle."

The alpha frowned while he turned on the Jeep. "I thought you got along with Peter."

"I do," Rayna nodded, "I also get along with Derek. We tend argue a lot because we aren't always on the same page. But we do get along. Now, Malia? She doesn't trust me, and neither does she trusts Peter. I know that Peter is. . . well, not particularly trusthworhy with everything he did. But when it comes to Malia, you can trust him."

Scott kept silent. He thought it was better not to share his opinion about Peter. He wasn't even sure which was his opinion about the man. His mind was too confused to figure out an answer that wouldn't upset the girl. However, he was certain of one thing: Peter knew how to take care of him and he has much more experiences than he would like to admit—which made him a great help—.

"So, are you going to talk about you and your pack, or we will keep listening to Taylor Swift?" Rayna asked when she grew bored of hearing the song on the radio. Scott's cheeks grew red and moved his hands clumsily to turn the radio off.

"What do you want to know?"

"Strengths, weaknesses, connections. Everything necessary. Whatever you think it's important to achieve our victory. And, if it doesn't bother you, you could talk about your personal life too. Enough so I can know how you usually react to different situations, and how you react."

Scott raised his eyebrows. "You have Derek's and Peter's influence."

Rayna smiled. "They have been influenced by me too, Scotty. How do you think they are so powerful?" She joked before shaking her head slightly. "I need to know about the hunters too. Peter told me everything he knows, but I'm pretty sure you have some juicy info too."

Scott looked at the goddess sitting next to him. She was smiling at him and he couldn't help but sigh. If she wanted to know everything, it would take them some time. "How much time do you have?"

      "Whatever it is needed, Scotty."

"Do you have any preference on pizzas?" The alpha asked and Rayna's smile grew. He was inviting her to stay at his house, which meant he trusted her. Of course, she knew it would happen eventually.

"As long as there's no pineapple involved, I'm into it."

"What a shame. Pinneaple on pizza is great."

"Then, lets do halfsies," Rayna exclaimed.

Scott glanced at her, a little smile already on his face. He found it curious how childish she was behaving now, and he thought that maybe she wasn't as intimidating as he first thought when he saw her. Maybe she was just a little shy and that made her look a little frightening.
