Kari's POV:

I wonder if Ashley is okay? I've been worried about her all night. What if she just got left there? Maybe I should go walk around the house and see if anyone knows where she is.

I get up from sitting on my bed and walk out the door.

Before I ask around, I should probably grab some breakfast then go see Bryce in his office. I skip down to the kitchen. As I get closer a whiff of something delicious crosses my nose. I peer in to see Tasha cooking piles of food. "What's going on in here?" I ask her.

She looks up and smiles, "Oh good morning Kari! Bryce asked some of us to cook for the men who helped us win the fight last night." I smile. Of course he would, that's why I love him!

"Do you want any help?" I ask her and walk around the counter. As I approach the smell of delicious French toast fills my nose. I feel my mouth watering already.

"Oh no, it's fine. Why don't you grab some breakfast and move on with your day!" I laugh at her. I mean how can I resist? Her breakfasts are spectacular!

"You're the best Tasha," I say and grab some French toast. I sit down and demolish the beautiful food on my plate. After I clean up my dishes I walk out and head to Bryce's office. I hope that's where he is. Since he is Alpha now he spends most of his time in that dumb office. I can't believe I'm getting jealous of an office right now...

When I get to the office I hear voices. I guess it's only polite to knock then. So that's what I do.

Macy opens the door. "Oh hey Macy." I say and look around her and see Bryce sitting at his desk. I walk in and stand next to him. Pauly and Harry are also in the room but Jamie is not here. That's odd. I feel fingers wrap around my waist and the next thing I know I'm sitting in Bryce's lap. I laugh and cuddle into him.

"So what are we going to do about these rogues?" Pauly asks. I frown and look at him.

"Don't call them that anymore. They helped me out big time, and I know they helped our pack out too. They deserve a much higher title than 'these rogues'." I say angrily. Bryce runs his hand up and down my arm and it calms me a little.

"Kari's right. They helped us a lot. Now there are a few options. We can repay them by letting them join our pack and possibly risk having some problems or we can break off some of our land that's far down south and allow them to create their own pack and choose their own Alpha." Bryce says. I look up at his authoritative face and giggle to myself. He's so cute when he's leading people. I really just want to kiss him right now. Damn his lips do look delectable...

I feel Bryce stiffen. Oh shit did I say that out loud? "Kari maybe you should go back to the room and I will be up in a few minutes." He says politely. Oh he just wants me out of here. What a butt-face. I laugh.

"If you wanted me out that's all you had to say." I stand up. As soon as I do the door slams open and Jamie is standing there.

"Sorry I'm late Bryce. I slept in." He says through his heavy breaths.

"You slept in?" All the boys say at the same time. Alright that's weird, Jamie's face turns scarlet red at their reaction. What?

"Yeah, I um found my mate." I see Pauly raise an eyebrow seductively at Jamie. Jamie frowns. "No you pervert, we haven't done anything. Stop giving me that look." That's amazing! I run over and hug Jamie. A growl sounds from behind me and I know it's Bryce.

I turn around and look at my jealous mate, "Calm down big boy." I say and turn back to Jamie with a bright smile on my face. "Jamie that's awesome! Who is she?" I ask.

Before Jamie can answer I see a small head pop out from the door. I look behind him and see Ashley. My smile widens and I run up to her and give her a huge hug. She freezes when my arms wrap around her but then she slowly relaxes.

"Oh my gosh, Ashley I've been looking everywhere for you. I went back to your room but you weren't there. I was so worried." I cry to her. She hugs me back gently then I let go. She has a timid look on her face.

"It's okay, Jamie found me." She walks toward Jamie and stands behind him. She looks at me again. "I'm going to see the doctor later today will you come with me?" She asks in a light whisper.

I smile "Of course." I whisper back. I look at the two then it hits me. My mouth drops open. Are they mates? No way. If they were they would be holding hands or something, right? Then again Ashley is bad with contact so it makes sense that they aren't touching. "Well Ashley this is Pauly, Harry, Macy, and my mate Bryce." I point to each one of them. "They are very nice, so if you have any questions just ask them." I say happily.

She smiles lightly. Jamie turns around and looks at her, "Is there something you needed." He asked her gently as if she was going to break from his words.

"Um... I was hungry but it can wait. I will just go." She starts to walk toward the door but I stop her.

"Wait!" I look at Bryce sternly. "You don't really need Jamie here do you? Can't he show Ashley around?" I say.

He sighs. "I don't know. We need to figure out what to do about these men." I smirk evilly and slowly walk to the door.

"I say you just end this meeting now and you come back upstairs with me." I see him freeze for a moment as he ponders my idea. Everyone in the room looks at him. He stands.

"Okay, meeting is postponed. I will see you all at 9." I laugh and sprint out of the room. "Kari that's not very fair!" Bryce yells from way behind me.

"Whoever said I was fair?" I yell back. I get to our room and hide behind the bed. A few moments later Bryce comes in. He laughs.

"Are you really hiding from me? You tempt me into stopping my meeting and now you're going to hide?" I smile to myself. I sit and try to listen to Bryce's movements but I hear nothing. Strange.

"Gotcha" he shouts and scoops me up and throws me over his shoulder. I start dying laughing.

"Okay put me down now!" I say through my laughter.

"Are you going to run away this time?" I slow down my laughing fit.

"No, I suppose not." I say with a sigh. Bryce drops me onto the bed and hovers over me. The feeling of him being so near just makes me burn with a need to have him now. I glance at his lips. I want to kiss him and run my hands all over his mouth watering body.

"You smell intoxicating right now, what are you thinking about?" He asks seductively. I blush. Damn I was caught.

"Nothing..." I say trying to cover up for my pervertedness. He laughs.

"Sure you weren't." He slowly leans down and kisses my lips. The sparks and tingles erupt and make my body burn for desire. This has to be the heat kicking in because there is no way I'm this turned on by a simple kiss.

I wrap my legs around his torso and pull lightly so he leans closer to me. I slowly lift up and rub against his hardening area and he growls.

"Kari, you're temping my wolf so bad right now, he's getting hard to control." He says through heated breath. I giggle.

"Well hold him down for a while because I'm all yours right now." I whisper. He growls and crushes his lips to mine again. I forcefully return the kiss and reach to slide his shirt off of him. He gladly complies by helping me take it off. As we continue to kiss I run my hands over his smooth, rock-hard chest. He lets out a small growl and I smirk. Oh he so wants me as much as I want him right now.

My wolf wants me to connect with Bryce completely, and I can't agree with her more. My core is burning with need and all I want is him right now. I reach up an start to work at Bryce's belt. He breaks the kiss and looks at me with a humorous smile. "Well somebody knows what she wants."

My cheeks turn bright red. And I stare back into his eyes. Then I see him lightly sniff some air and look at me funny. "Ah, Kari are you in heat right now?" He asks me seriously.

My face turns even more red than before. "Maybe..." He smiles that kisses me on the nose.

"Well I think we should stop so we don't do anything you wouldn't if you weren't in heat." My wolf cries in sadness. She wants him right now. I think to myself. I honestly want him right now too.

Bryce starts to get off of me but I shoot up and grab his muscular arms. He looks at me and I whisper, "Bryce I want you now. Even if I wasn't in heat I would still want you." He observes my face and sees how serious I am. My wolf thinks I'm taking too long and she tries to take over. I fight back though because I want to enjoy this completely for my first time.

After I guess I pass his test, he slowly leans in and connects his lips to mine. I take that as the go ahead and go back to undoing his belt. As I do this he starts to take off my shirt quickly. I hear a light tearing sound and my shirt is off my body. I smile into the kiss as I realized he ripped my shirt off of me. That's hot. I manage to get his belt off then his shorts. The next piece of clothing to be removed are my shorts.

Bryce takes this opportunity to run his huge hands along my sides and down to my legs then back up again. I moan as the tingles shoot from his fingers tips through my whole body. He then slides his hands and hooks his fingers to ether side of my lacy underwear bottoms. He breaks the kiss and looks at me uncertainly. "Are you sure you want this Kari?" He asks sweetly.

"I've never been so sure of anything in my life." I say back to him. He smiles brightly and crashes his lips to mine and takes me to complete bliss.

I wake up from my nap sore yet happy. I reach up to my neck and touch the small indents left from where Bryce marked me. I smile at the memory. It was literally one of the greatest moments of my life, Bryce and I are practically one now.

Suddenly I realize, now I'm Luna. Wow, you know I don't really feel that different, but my wolf is glowing with pride now that she has power. I stretch out my limbs for a moment the hop out of bed. I go to the bathroom and shower quickly.

When I get out I brush my hair, my teeth, an throw on some decent clothes that I can wear to the pack doctors house. I did tell Ashley I would go with her to her appointment after all.

I walk out of the bathroom then head to the door to go to the hall way. Actually, I have no idea where Ashley is. Maybe they assigned her a bed room? Well I know she and Jamie were headed to the kitchen last time I saw her so I might as well head there first. I walk down the stairs and toward the kitchen.

When I finally get there I see Tasha sitting at a table eating. When I walk in she stands and smiles, "Good evening Luna, is there anything I can get you to eat?" She says sweetly. I laugh and shake my head.

"Tasha just call me Kari, and please continue eating, I was just looking for my friend Ashley." I say to her. She studies my face for a moment.

"Are you sure you don't want anything to eat?" I nod my head. She slowly sits down then says, "oh and is the person you are talking about the new girl in the pack?" I smile brightly.

"Yup, that would be her! Have you seen her?" I ask.

She nods her head gently. "Yes her and Jamie were here a while ago, I believe he took her back to his room because she was getting nervous." He brought her back to his room because she was nervous? That's so cute! I always knew Jamie was a good kid.

"Thanks so much Tasha! I will see you around, and don't forget you need to teach me how to cook!" I say laughing. She laughs back at me and nods in agreement.

"Oh I won't forget sweetie. I will see you later!" She says then gets back to eating her plate of delicious food. Okay so yes I am hungry, but she was eating and I didn't want her to have to make me anymore food.

I walk straight to Jamie's room and knock on the door. I hear a slight creek, almost as if someone got off of a bed. Then I hear a soft familiar voice, "who is it?"

I smile, "Ashley it's me Kari!" I say happily. Good so she is here! She opens the door and gives me her shy smile.

"Hi Kari! I hope you don't mind but this is all I have to wear..." She says and looks down. She's wearing a boy shirt and pants. I laugh and she looks up worriedly.

"Oh Ashley, you can wear some of my clothes." Her expression quickly changed to a happy smile.

"That would be awesome. Well Jamie's showering, so let me just tell him that I'm leaving. I will be out in a second!" She closes the door. I lean on the wall and wait.

Minutes pass yet there is still no sign of Ashley. Where the hell is she? Maybe I should go in and see what's up. I walk to the door and reach for the handle. Before I can grab it the door swings open to reveal Ashley. I raise an eyebrow.

"Are you okay?" I ask immediately. She looks up and blushes bright red.

"Yeah I'm fine. Sorry. So where is your room?" She asks timidly. She doesn't look like she wants to talk about it so I let it go and lead her to my room. When we get there I grab her a tight shirt that will look big on her, and a pair of gym shorts.

"We should probably go shopping soon." I say to her after she puts on my clothes that look baggy on her.

"Oh I don't have any money." She says embarressd. I laugh.

"That's not a problem! I will buy your stuff, I am Luna of the pack and my mate is loaded with cash." I say with a shrug.

"I couldn't ask you to do that." She says quietly. I place my right hand on her shoulder.

"Nonsense. I'm doing it whether you like it or not! Oh and I can get you a room assigned as soon as possible if you would like. You don't have a room to stay in now so I can get you the largest room available!" I say excitedly as we start to walk to the pack doctors house.

She looks down and says, "Well I um... I kind of like being with Jamie." I look at her shocked. Well I didn't expect that answer. I had no idea she was staying with Jamie, I thought he found his mate... Wait, now it's starting to come together...

"Oh, you guys mates?" I question excitedly, I mean Jamie did say how he just found his mate recently. She looks at me confused.

"I mean I don't think so." She says sadly. "My wolf hasn't reacted to me since we left. I mean she sort of stirred but not really. So I don't know." Well I mean Ashley has to be Jamie's mate. Or else he wouldn't be hanging out with her all the time like this. He even has her in his room and he never does that.

"Well hopefully your wolf will come back soon so you can find out. But I'm glad you're warming up to him so that's all that matters at the moment." She smiles brightly.

"Yeah we get along very well. He's not like any of the guys that I've met before, he's actually nice to me." She says with amazement clear in her eyes. I guess I never really thought about how poorly she was treated since she got into the hands of Froam. Wait, Froam! I forgot about him, I don't even know if he's dead or alive! I need to talk to Bryce about that...

When we reach the pack doctor's house I bring Ashley to the front desk. The pretty woman sitting at the desk smiles at us and give each of us bundles of papers to fill out. We sign some papers, answer the questions, then wait to be called by a nurse.

"Ashley Pine?" A nurse says. I turn to see a nervous looking Ashley. I laugh.

"Come on it's your turn." She looks up at me with nervous eyes. "Ashley there's nothing to be scared of! Now come on silly." I pull her up off of the chair and drag her to the nurse. We follow the nurse through the door and stop at a weight scale.

"Okay can you stand on this." Ashley nods and stands up on the scale. I watch the scale and it says 89.5 pounds. Holy crap, I knew she was small but I didn't know she was that small. I'm like 115 and I thought I was decently small. "Alright thank you, right this way."

She bring us to an empty room and sits Ashley down on the bed table. Ashley looks at me frantically. I smile soothingly to let her know it's okay. The nurse takes her blood pressure and temperature. "Okay the doctor will be right in." The nurse says then leaves the room.

"Kari this is scary. What is she going to do when she gets here?" I look at her curiously.

"You haven't been to a check up ever?" I ask her. She shakes her head.

"No, before Froam I was homeless, I was a wanderer. I went whereever I could find food." She says. I look at her shocked.

"Wow, Ashley you've been through a lot..." She nods her head and looks down. "Don't worry things will be better from now on." I say surely. She smiles.

"Thank you Kari. You and Jamie have been so nice to me. I don't know what I would do without you guys." I smile back at her and then the door opens. A beautiful woman comes in. She has blond hair that's in a neat bun with a single piece hanging out at the front. She has a dazzling movie star smile.

"Good evening ladies. So Ashley, you are here for a check up?" Ashley nods. "Well I see here that you are very under weight. I expect you to be eating four small meals a day now. After your body adjusts a little I want you to increase the size of your meals alright?" Ashley nods again. The doctor looks at me. "You need to make sure she does this, understood?"

"Yes ma'am!" I say with a little laugh. She smiles and turns back to Ashley.

"Alright well I'm going to have to take some blood. It's required for all new pack members. Are you afraid of needles?" She asks.

"Um, no I think I will be okay." Ashley says gently.

"Good." The doctor walks over to a drawer and pulls out a needle. She walks back over to Ashley. "This will only hurt for a little while. Are you ready?" Ashley closes her eyes.

"Yup." She says. The doctor puts the needle into Ashley's arm. Ashley tightens her hand and closes her eyes harder. The Doctor extracts blood and pulls the needle out. She grabs a band-aid and puts it over Ashley's needle mark.

"Okay, you're all set with that." She puts the needle with blood in a small container and walks back over to us. "We'll I'm going to do the rest of the things for the check up but before I do." She turn and looks at me with a raised eyebrow. "Kari I don't remember seeing you here ever. You need an appointment too, miss Luna." My face burns bright red.

"Oh um yeah... Maybe I should go get an appointment." I say. She laughs.

"I will take you right after this. Hold on." She walks over to a desk and writes on a piece of paper. She walks back to me and sticks the paper in front of me. "Here give this to the girl at the front desk. She will give you a room and I will be in right after this." I take the paper but remain sitting. She gives me a strange look. "Are you going to go?" She ask.

"Oh well um." I look at Ashley. "Will you be okay?" She smiles and nods her head.

"I will be fine, go ahead." She says gently. I smile and stand.

"Alright I will go then." I say and walk to the door. "I will meet you back in the pack house Ashley! See you later!" I say then leave the room.

I walked toward the desk. There was a reason I haven't been here yet.... I hate the doctors.
