Backstory:

Duke Castillo was your above average youth. He had good grades and is athletic. However, one thing made him not as sociable as usual, his love for Super Sentai and Power Rangers. As an avid collector of Power Rangers and Super Sentai Memorabilia, he would rather use a Friday night to binge watch the latest Super Sentai Series or some classic Super Sentai Tokusatsu series or Power Rangers. 

This got him a stint in Philippine Wrestling Revolution and honed his gimmick of a Red Power Ranger while also showing some athleticism. His stint got him scouted and had him head to New Japan Pro Wrestling to have his hand on puroresu. 

His stint in NJPW was short as he was only able to stay on for months but it helped him add more to his arsenal of moves. This can also be attributed to him gaining an interest in Yu-Gi-Oh, getting some moves named after some of the anime lines and cards.

He then returned for his second tour of duty in PWR, which led him to nearly win the promotion's main championship but came close. This did perk the ears and eyes of the scouts in WWE and got him to sign on as part of the next batch of WWE Performance Center trainees. 

Months later, Duke Castillo, now going by Duke Atlas has joined in and passed the initial training as he begins his journey of justice with his impending debut in NXT.
