After a humiliating loss from last week, Duke Atlas will once again face off against his newfound rival, The Finest, Kona Reeves. Duke so far has had 2 victories over the Hawaiian superstar, but Kona was able to gain back his momentum by defeating the masked heroic superstar. This week will be no different as one tries to fulfill his own mission to rid NXT off a so-called "justice jerk" and the other continues in his own mission to make strides and shine in the Black and Gold.

Not only would it be just Duke in action, after a volatile environment in the NXT Women's Division, a Fatal Four Way Match will happen tonight to determine who will be the Number One Contender for the NXT Women's Championship. The participants are the HBIC Mia Yim, Tenacious C Candice LeRae, The EST Bianca Belair and the Genius of the Sky Io Shirai. With overlapping bad blood between participants, especially LeRae and Shirai, this will be quite the explosive match to determine Shayna Baszler's opponent for her title.

NXT
Backstage
Sarah was with Kona as the ever smug Hawaiian superstar walks in to frame.

Sarah: Kona, tonight you are going one on one against Duke Atlas. You got one win

Kona: And that one win is all I need before I wipe him off the existence and make him realize the world he is moving in is not the same as us every day folk. He can be a hero in his own fantasy land but here, in NXT, nope. It's where The Finest shine and losers like him should step out and stop living in their fantasy world. We don't need another Justice Jerk ruining the fun for guys like us. And tonight, I'll show him that he never should have crossed paths with The Finest, Kona Reeves!

Sarah: I say good luck then because he has two wins over you too.

Kona, irritated, snaps back.

Kona: Kayla's better than you. At least she isn't as rude and just learns to shut up!

Kona leaves as Duke shakes his head at the scene.

Duke: Did he do more than harm you, Citizen Sarah?

Sarah: Oh no, but thanks Duke....

Sarah screamed as she steps away. Unaware, Duke was hit on the back of the head by a clothesline, courtesy of Kona Reeves.

Kona: I told you to stay out of my business! You lost your edge and I will beat you again!

NXT
Middle of the 1st Hour
Kona was already in the ring as he cockily was preparing himself mentally to decimate the heroic Duke Atlas

Duke made his way down the ring but was unable to leap as much, due to the assault earlier by Kona Reeves. Kona turned his back as Duke did his entrance.

Match Start
Kona tries to stretch his hand out towards Duke and "apologizes" for his bad behavior. Duke was hesitant but his code of honor dictate to forgive, which led to the Finest hitting the masked man with a Cross Chop and a Kitchen Sink.

Kona: Way to go Justice Jerk!

Kona began to stomp away at the masked man until the referee reprimanded the Finest before getting disqualified.

Timeskip to the end of the match
After a back and forth which involved dives in the ring and to the outside, Duke was somehow able to get back on his feet. Kona is down on the mat as Duke attempts for a Lionsault, but ends up hitting the mat as Kona rolls away. Kona sees the opportunity as he climbs up until the middle turnbuckle as he shouts at Duke.

Kona: Look at me fly higher than you!

Kona goes down for a Back Elbow Drop but Duke now rolls away to safety as Kona lands elbow first on the mat. Kona nurses his elbow and bangs his fist i pain as Duke now sees the opportunity to hit the Hero Blaster

As he was approaching Kona, the latter begins to scream in pain that it got the referee's attention. The referee then begins to check on Kona as Duke was being motioned to back away. Duke was not buying it as the referee began to motion and back Duke from Kona. Kona used the opportunity to untie the top turnbuckle pad.

Duke was pointing at Kona but the referee sees Kona upright, covering the bare turnbuckle with his body. Kona then gives the thumbs up at the referee as Duke takes the chance for a corner body splash. Kona saw through it and immediately moved away, causing Duke to land on the bare turnbuckle.

With haste, Kona lifts Duke up for a Hawaiian Drop, making sure his head hits the Top Turnbuckle for good measure. Kona then hits a Big Boot and drags the masked man by the arm as he lifts him up for another Hawaiian Drop for good measure before covering Duke.

ONE...TWO...THREE!

Kona had his arm raised as he steps on Duke's fallen body as he strikes a pose in victory. The Finest had some words for his fallen foe.

Kona; That is justice!

Kona cockily moves away as the referee notices Duke unable to move. Kona walks away to the back while the medical staff come in to check on Duke.

Catering Area
Last minutes of Reeves vs. Atlas
Io and Kushida were watching closely but Kushida saw the finish and was outraged.

Kushida: He intended to harm him! This goes beyond a match!

Io was worriedly watching even as she checks on her phone but sees no response from her fiance.

As they saw the finish, Io and Kushida headed to the trainer's office to look after their friend.

Trainer's Office
Io and Kushida were in time as the trainer had evaluated and seen that Duke did not suffer from a concussion but it was still a scare nonetheless. Kushida was angry but Io was at her angriest.

Kushida: Masami-chan you have match tonight. I stay and watch over Duke.

Io just nodded and walked away towards Gorilla position. Io may be engaged but somehow she felt a tinge of pain but it was clouded with confusion since she is currently engaged. Regardless, she had to prepare for her match for a chance to face Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women's Championship.

Timeskip to the end of the Fatal Four Way Match for the Number One Contender for the NXT Women's Championship
Mia Yim vs. Bianca Belair vs. Io Shirai vs. Candice LeRae

(A/N: Refer to above video for the sequence, basically the same thing)

After a flurry of strikes on Mia Yim, Candice LeRae goes after Io Shirai and stunning her by the apron before going after Bianca Belair. Belair however used the opportunity to hit a Fallaway slam on LeRae to the rampway. As Belair was to drag the hurt LeRae, Yim used the opportunity to hit a Tope Suicida on both women.

Yim picks up LeRae but end up in the range of an Io Shirai Moonsault from the top rope to the outside, hitting both women. Then the action moved to a Tower of Doom sequence between all four women, with Belair rolling out of the way. Shirai at this point has LeRae in range for another moonsault, but is instead shoved down to the outside by Mia Yim towards Belair.

This gives Yim an opportunity to climb the ropes. LeRae catches Yim until Yim slips out of the way. Yim has LeRae up in an Electric Chair hold, but Tenacious C reverses it into a Poisonrana before hitting a Springboard Moonsault for the win, earning a title shot against NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler.

After NXT
Trainer's Office
Io headed to the Trainer's Office to see if her new friend is okay. She is shocked to only see Duke there.

Duke: Ohayo Masami-san

Io: Duke-kun... Kushida-sama...

Duke: He had to leave early.

Io adorably nods and is worried.

Duke: You okay?

Io: I should be asking you that!

Duke: Concussion scare but all fine. For precaution I won't be having a match next week. Creative has a way to write this in.

Io: Hai *smiles*

Her smile however fades as Duke takes notice.

Duke: You can tell me...if you're comfortable of course

Io shyly turns away.

Io: Gommen.. good night!

Io walks away as she feels Duke's concern but unable to disclose that she is in a relationship, worse, engaged to someone who may have gone distant with her not just physically but even emotionally.

For Duke, his concern is two fold with both his physical health and now Io.
