A usually explosive NXT once again will feature Kona Reeves trying to one up his newfound rival Duke Atlas after another loss in a tag team match. He got his point across by assaulting Kushida after that humiliating loss, hence this match.

NXT
Backstage
Before his match
Sarah was backstage with Duke Atlas as he was being interviewed.

Sarah: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time we have Duke Atlas.

Duke nods.

Sarah: Duke, may we ask on how Kushida is doing right now?

Duke: Citizen Sarah, Kushida-san is doing okay as per the doctors. But that does not excuse that misguided fellow Kona Reeves for what he did. I will teach him a lesson in justice.

NXT
Middle of 1st Hour
Kona Reeves vs. Duke Atlas
After Kona's entrance
Kona was already in the ring as he was waiting intently at his opponent to show up. Demanding a microphone at the timekeeper's area, the timekeeper gives in and hands him a microphone.

Kona: Duke get your ass out here! Come on out so I can wipe the floor with your stupid hero act boy!

Duke wasted no time as he did his entrance and immediately went after Kona with strikes

Match Start
Kona Reeves vs. Duke Atlas

The referee backs Duke away before risking a disqualification win for Kona Reeves. Kona smugly leans back to the turnbuckle and smugly taunts Duke.

Kona: Where's your justice now, huh? You attacked first. You're no hero!

That last bit provoked him but the referee still backs him away. It gave Kona the opportunity to hit a headbutt on Duke as he got stunned momentarily. As Duke recoils to the ropes, he hits a Uranage then pins the masked opponent.

ONE...TWO..

Duke kicks out as Kona stomps away at the opposition. 

Kona: *per stomp* Stay down! Stay down!

Timeskip to the end of the match
Kona had the advantage with the earlier sneak attack and the agitation on Duke from the assault on Kushida the week before. Duke was nearly at wits end as he was standing against the turnbuckle as Kona goes near for a corner clothesline. 

Duke finally gets some offense in as he evades and Kona instead collides with the turnbuckle. Duke goes for the Destiny Draw

ONE ...TWO...

Kona kicks out of the Destiny Draw Ranhei as the Hawaiian knocks in another Headbutt on the masked man. Kona signals for the end as he lifts up Duke for the Hawaiian Drop. Duke hits elbow and knee strikes on Kona.

Kona lets go as Duke goes for the Red Nova.

Duke hits the Red Nova for the pin

ONE...TWO...

Kona shifts position as he reverses the sunset flip pin so his arms are blocking his legs and hooks them down for the pin.

ONE...TWO...

Kona grabs the ropes for leverage.

THREE!

Kona rolls away as the referee joins him to raise his arm in victory. Duke was displeased by the result as he pointed at the ropes. The referee claimed not to have seen it and Kona did the L taunt with his right hand on top of his forehead.

William Regal's office
After the match
Kona cockily walks in as he sees Regal not amused.

Kona: You called me Mr. Regal?

Regal: Yeah, I called you here because of what you did out there.

Kona: For that hard earned decisive victory against that masked moron?

Regal: Do you take me for a muppet?

Kona: *shocked* Why no, I am not Mr. Regal. I have the utmost respect for you. I won't make a fool out of you.

Regal: Then I bet you can beat Duke Atlas again?

Kona: Mr. Regal, I have nothing else to prove. That one victory is all I need to show him all he is is a damned joke!

Regal: Is that so? Because you won once, but lost twice to him one on one. And that tag....

Kona: That last one does not count. I didn't get pinned.

Regal: So next week, think you can do another win?

Kona: Now you are just taking me for a damned fool. I'll unmask him if needed.

Kona walks away, annoyed as Regal was not impressed by his victory.

Backstage
Duke was all alone, now unmasked and in casual clothes, since NXT had wrapped up. He was all disappointed after he lost in such humiliating illegal fashion to Kona Reeves. Kushida walked by to check on his tag partner from last week.

Kushida: Hey, don't despair. You let your emotions get the best of you, you let Kona get away with the win.

Duke: It's embarrassing. If anything, unforgiveable.

Kushida: いいえ (No). You were right but no need to win for me. Everyone was behind you since they did not agree or approve of that win.

Kushida then spots Io and he smirks to himself as he motions for the Joshi Judas to comfort his friend.

Kushida: Say, I'll be back.

Kushida then gestures Io to approach Duke. Duke heard Io's footsteps as he mistakened them for Kushida's

Duke: That was....

He sees the Evil Genius of the Skies as he was lost for words

Io: *smiles* don't be too upset. I had losses too but I know you can get back.

Io adorably raises her hand for a high five. Duke was not receptive at first but could not leave the adorable Japanese woman hanging so he high fived her.

Duke: Gommen

Io: *smiles* don't be. Take care out there.

Duke was then comforted as he left Full Sail with his spirits lifted.
