Tonight's edition of NXT will feature Kona Reeves will have another chance against Duke Atlas after Reeves lost "unfairly." Kona will seek redemption while Duke will prove that the previous victory was no fluke.

NXT
Middle of the 1st Hour

Alicia Taylor: The following contest is scheduled for one fall making his way to the ring, from Honolulu, Hawaii, weighing in at 250 pounds, The Finest, Kona Reeves!

Wade: The finest is back and will show that last week was nothing but a fluke!

Vic: Come on Wade. We all saw that the loss was already counted and his opponent tonight is at least willing to fight this Hawaiian HotHead

Wade: Now I may have never been to Hawaii but I think we cannot just judge The Finest for being unjustly defeated by someone who portrays himself as a hero!

Vic: Oh stop it Wade!

Alicia: And his opponent, from Sekigahara, Japan, weighing in at 220 pounds, Duke Atlas!

Duke makes his way out there as Kona arrogantly ignroes him from the side.

Vic: After an impressive debut, we may be seeing a possible repeat

Wade: For a hero, he sure won unjustly!

As Duke jumps into the ring, Kona tosses his ring jacket at Duke as he began to mercilessly pummel into the masked superstar before the referee pushes Kona away. Duke was removing the jacket wrapped on him as the referee was checking up on him. Duke signaled that he was okay and can start the match. 

Kona Reeves v. Duke Atlas
As the bell rang, Kona went for a clothesline but Duke dodges as he rolls away. Kona runs back and The Finest is hit with an impressive looking dropkick, before rolling out of the ring.

Duke tries to go for a Tope dive but instead, taunts Kona by doing a superhero pose. Kona, triggered, tries to run back in but is hit by a Blue Moon Blade

Duke goes for a cover but Kona kicks out immediately. Duke gets up but Kona hits a Drop Toe Hold then follows it up with an Elbow Drop. Kona violently stomps some more until the referee reprimands him.

Furious, Kona begins to pick up Duke and attempts to hit the Hawaiian Drop, but Duke knees and elbows The Finest on the head until he lets go. Duke is able to roll away into the corner to hit the Hero Blaster

As Kona is groggy, Duke positions himself and hits Kona on the gut with a kick and goes for the Red Nova

Duke saw that this was not enough as he went to the top rope and dives to hit the Stardust Slam.

Duke then pins Kona

ONE. TWO. THREE!

Kona was being helped out of the ring as Duke had his arm raised as the victor of their encounter.

Backstage
Last minutes of the Match
Io and Kushida were watching as Io was impressed by Duke's agility. Kushida was nodding with some pride.

Kushida: Ah, he does this a lot even back in Japan.

As Duke hits the Stardust Slam on Kona, Kushida nods at each count of the pin.

Kushida: He will be quite the opponent.

Io was drawn to the mystique of Duke as Kushida takes notice.

Kushida: Masami-chan? Yoo hoo *waves his hand in front of Io*

Io blushed and playfully slapped his arm.

Io: なに？！？(What?!?!)

Kushida: I thought you were lost into the match or with someone *smirks*

Io: No. But he is impressive.

Io then headed back to her locker room as she saw Duke all decked out in his gear after the match. Io blushed but Duke then saw the Genius of the Sky nearly walk away.

Duke: Io-chan, it's okay.

Io: *stern* you do not know me.

Duke was taken aback and walked back to his locker room.

Io turned away but blushed again but realized that she may be having feelings while in a relationship with her fiance.
