2 hours before broadcast

After a TakeOver weekend, the entire cast of NXT superstars return to Full Sail to either build off new programs or continue ongoing ones. Not in the case of Duke Castillo, a debuting NXT superstar who had just been through the rigorous training of the Performance Center. He is excited that he walked into the locker room to see former fellow trainees and those who served as his teachers.

One of the trainees was Kushida, who shook his hand as the two saw each other backstage.

Kushida: Duke-san, it's finally nice to see you again!

Duke: Kushida-sensei, I thank you for the welcome but really, this is quite a change

Kushida: Hai, we shall see. For now, I heard you will be making your debut tonight

Duke: Hai! I feel that...

As Duke realized, his phone rang and saw that William Regal had been calling for him.

Duke: Oh man, what a bad first impression already!

Kushida: *chuckles* Head to Mr. Regal-san's office now young one!

Duke: Alright, until later!

Duke then began to run to William Regal's office. On his way there, due to the excitement, he bumped into a brunette, Japanese woman who was clad in all black.

???: Itai! (Ouch!)

Duke: Gomenasai (I'm sorry), let me help you up.

???: I can do it on my own, but since you're here.

The woman grabbed Duke's outstretched arm and he helped her up. The woman then smirked seeing Duke as she had only seen him for the first time.

???: Call-up?

Duke: Hai, Duke Ca... 

Duke's phone began to ring again as he was unable to properly introduce himself.

Duke: Gomenasai! I have to run...

???: *smirks* It's okay Duke-chan. Io. Io Shirai. Now go to Mr. Regal's office.

Duke bowed reverently and ran to Mr. Regal's office to talk about his debut.

Io then began to put her hand on her heart as she felt a certain warm feeling inside. But she put it off, not while she is committed to a long distance relationship with a fellow wrestler abroad. This did not however stop Bianca Belair from noticing this.

Bianca: Hey Io, you okay?

Io: *regains composure* Uhh yes, I am. Why do you not think so?

Bianca: Girl, it's either you ate something bad or you saw a ghost or maybe... *smirks* a new apple of your eye!

Io: I'm still in a relationship!

Bianca: Hey, not going to play devil's advocate but give time to yourself. Especially with your significant other being miles and miles away.

Io: I've been transparent with him but he has not been touching up with me. *sighs*

Bianca: Hey, in due time. But you heard of the new signee?

Io: Not yet, why?

Bianca: Girl, let's watch in catering. Sadly they don't have us doing much tonight! *giggles*

William Regal's Office
Duke arrived and was huffing and catching his breath as he saw Regal greet him with a smile.

Regal: My boy, your punctuality is something we need to work on.

Duke: My apologies, Mr. Regal... I'm just new here and...

Regal: Oh no need for the pleasantries sunshine. If I were in your place, I'd understand. I take it you are the new call up?

Duke: Yes, Duke Castillo or Duke Atlas.

Regal: Ah yes, the masked wrestler from Japan that we scouted for. I know you will do great here. In fact, I want to see how you will fare given that your gimmick is likened to a superhero

Duke: With all due respect, Mr. Regal, more of a Power Ranger type character.

Regal: Of course. But without the morphing sequence?

Duke: Well, I never came to work on that but..

Regal: We can work on that. For now, let's see how you will do against someone your size.

Kayla: The following contest is scheduled for one fall making his way to the ring, from Honolulu, Hawaii, weighing in at 250 pounds, The Finest, Kona Reeves!

Wade: Well, finally we get the finest here!

Vic: Oh yeah sure Wade

Mauro: We haven't seen much of The Finest Kona Reeves since days gone past but we shall see if he has not missed a step.

Kona walks into the ring and takes off his entrance coat as he arrogantly looks at the tron, awaiting for his opponent.

Kayla: From Sekigahara, Japan, weighing in at 220 pounds, Duke Atlas!

Mauro: Mama Mia! We got a debut here!

Wade: Oh give me a break

Vic: Wade, how could you be so ignorant? Duke Atlas has made waves not only in Japan but in the wrestling scene in the Philippines as well

Wade: So small time then to a big pond to get fried here?

Vic: Let's not get carried away with that

Duke made it to the ring clad with his Power-Ranger suit with the mask on. As he enters into the ring, Kona looked less than impressed at his opponent.

Finest Kona Reeves vs. Duke Atlas
Match Start
Kona looked annoyed as Duke stretches out his hand as a sign of good sportsmanship. Kona slaps Duke's hand away as he decks the masked man with a right hand. Duke reciprocates with a spinning wheel kick on Kona as the so-called "Finest" rolls out of the ring.

As Duke tries to go after Kona, the Finest gives the Super-Sentai dressed foe an uppercut from the outside to a bent down Duke. Kona then goes to stomp on Duke as the referee pushes Kona away before Kona disqualifies himself. Kona strikes a pose to the boos of the crowd as Duke tries to regain himself after those cheap shots.

Duke is up but Kona head butts Duke then Irish Whips him until he attempts for a Reverse Elbow, but Duke avoids it. Kona hits the canvas due to the miss as Duke heads to the top rope to hit a Block Buster on Reeves. 

Duke attempts for the pin, but Kona raises his shoulder before the count of 1. Duke tried to pick up Kona, but Kona feigned an injury, which lead to the referee to separate the two. Kona used this to his advantage to reel Duke in to hit another head butt and hit a Vertical Suplex then cover Duke Atlas. 

ONE....

Duke kicks out as Kona is in disbelief. Kona picks up Duke for a Teardrop Suplex attempt, but Duke was able to slip away and run to the corner as Kona attempts for a Big Boot, but ends up eating a Blue Moon Blade (Sling Blade). 

Kona gets up as he eats a Hero Blaster Shotgun Dropkick

Kona at this point was reeling by the corner as Duke rolls Kona on the mat as he goes to the top rope to go for a Diving Body Splash, which he calls the Stardust Slam. Kona however hits an uppercut on Duke for the masked man to be left draping on the ropes as Kona tosses Duke on his back as he instead goes to the top, gesturing for a Backward Elbow Drop. 

Duke was able to roll away as Kona lands elbow first on the mat. Kona was nursing his elbow as Duke holds Kona's arm and hits the Destiny Draw

Duke covers Kona as his shoulders were down.

ONE...TWO...THREE!

Kona kicks out after three but it was too late. Duke was ecstatic when he won and was all in joy as the referee raised his arm.

Kayla: The winner of this match, Duke Atlas!

Wade: What kind of a victory was that?

Vic: Well, Kona was taking his sweet time but unable to get the job done.

Wade: Kona had him beat!

Mauro: Didn't seem that way, Wade. We all saw how sudden Duke hit the Ranhei or what he calls the Destiny Draw on Kona and destiny indeed changed for Duke as he got his first win as a member of the NXT roster!

Kona grabs the microphone from Kayla as he then speaks.

Kona: No, no, no. Cut that music! Duke, for a Power Ranger nerd, that sure wasn't a clean win. You convince these idiots who have never seen or experienced the finest and finesse that that win is worth celebrating. How about we meet again next week but I ensure you keep the mask on so I can humiliate and humble you from trying to rise at my expense?

Duke was given a microphone and said.

Duke: Challenge accepted but I did what I can to ensure justice will triumph and it did despite the cheap shots of ev....

Kona was not having it and headbutts Duke as the masked crusader was now reeling as Kona ends the segment by hitting Duke with the Hawaiian Drop.

Backstage
Kayla was backstage as she had microphone in tow to interview the victor of the earlier match.

Kayla: Right now I am standing by with Duke Atlas.

Duke came in but still masked as he had just come from the trainer's office.

Duke: Citizen Kayla.

Kayla: *giggles* Duke, earlier you won in your debut match but Kona Reeves didn't take the victory all too well. Any thoughts on you accepting his rematch for next week?

Duke: Is it okay to drop Citizen, Kayla? Because Kayla, for me, I came here to ensure that justice reigned supreme in a world where darkness envelopes this place. We've had Dark Princes try to run amok. A man whose sheer size tries to dominate in every way they can. Those are the big fishes. Then we have Kona Reeves. A man who for one of his size, fights dirty. He assumes me pulling a Destiny Draw to change fate and turn the tides was me being on the side of unjust? Well, he will see there is more to me than just being able to counteract injustice with justice. I will show young Kona that he is not dealing with a mere citizen, but with one who will set things right. 

Kayla: Thank you for that Duke Atlas.

Segment over
Kayla giggled as the segment was done. Duke did as well as he took off his mask.

Kayla: For a luchadore, you sure needed that mask on but I like this without the mask *smiles*

Duke: Thanks, it's all part of the gimmick but I'm not really a luchadore. I studied it, try to perfect it, but here will be the acid test if I have done all I can to improve and perfect.

Kayla: Wow, such a dedication and motivation.

Duke: Well thanks. Now I have to get going and head to catering. See you around!

Kayla smiled as she waved back and went her way.

As Duke walked back to his locker room, Io caught sight of him and to herself she said.

Io: Duke-kun was actually Duke Atlas? He is quite impressive but his gear...he is a Super Sentai fan!

Kushida caught sight of Io staring away as he tapped Io's shoulder.

Kushida: Masami-chan (Io), Duke-san caught the sights of the Genius of the Skies?

Io playfully slapped Kushida's arm as she tried to respond as if she were still on camera.

Io: *stern* Don't ever mention that

Kushida: There are no cameras, Masami. 

Io: You know I am committed to him

Kushida: Hai, but I heard that there is trouble in paradise

Io: Don't say that! *outraged* I have to go check on him now.

Kushida: Take care, Masami-chan.

Io then began to contact her boyfriend, who was a professional wrestler in NJPW, but he is not answering the phone.

Io: If you and I were meant to be together despite the distance, why not be honest with me?

Io sighs as she returns to her locker room.
