WWE NXT
After spending his first few weeks going back and forth with The Finest Kona Reeves, Duke Atlas enters NXT awaiting a new challenger. For Duke, regardless of the opposition, he will not let it affect him as he will best who he has to face on any given night.

WWE NXT 
Middle of 1st Hour
Duke was already in the ring as he already made his entrance. He awaits who will he go up against. 

Alicia: And his opponent, from Burlington, North Carolina, weighing in at 220 pounds, Cameron Grimes!

Cameron comes in and does his usual entrance while Duke was observing his foe. 

Match Start
As Duke stretches out his hand, Cameron slaps it away and decks the masked man with a right hand to the head. Grimes begins to stomp away on Atlas as the referee reprimands and backs Grimes away. 

Cameron talks back at the referee and tries to stomp away again, but Duke evades and takes him down by one leg. Duke then proceeded to hit lock Cameron in a headlock before reversing it into a Back Suplex attempt, which Duke escaped and landed on his feet. Duke reverses it into a Jumping Reverse STO, which causes Grimes to fall down then roll out of the ring for safety.

Timeskip to end of the match
Duke and Cameron have countered move after move until Cameron remains up due to his veteran savvy. Cameron attempts to deadlift Duke for a German Suplex, but Duke counters it into an Arm Drag to give him space.

Duke sees that Cameron is in range for the Hero Blaster and runs for it, but Cameron counters it into a Moonsault Slam. Cameron attempts to cover Duke, but the masked man was able to raise his shoulder before the count of three. 

Cameron, frustrated, goes to the corner and stomps his feet. Duke groggily gets up as Cameron motions for a Cave In. Duke easily evades as Cameron does the Cave In but land on the mat. The masked man grabs his opponent's arm and goes for the Destiny Draw.

ONE....TWO...THREE!

Duke Atlas was able to cover and win against Cameron Grimes. As Duke turns around after getting his arm raised, Cameron hits Duke with a nefarious Cave In.

Cameron smirks as he begins to ground and pound on the winner until the referee and security personnel walk in. Grimes willingly walks away but proud of his assault.

Backstage
Sarah Schreiber was waiting backstage as Grimes proudly walks back despite his loss.

Sarah: Cameron! Why did you attack Duke Atlas after he won?

Cameron: I assumed he can't see out of that ugly damned mask of his!

Sarah: Yet you didn't come out the victor...

Cameron: But who's out here walking out by their own power? Not that idiot Duke Atlas. Besides, he wants to go around parading like he's some superhero? Sarah, we don't live in a comic book world. We live in a time where we got me, Cameron Grimes, and I will be heading....TO. THE. MOON! So he's welcome to fight me again but Duke knows what he'll be getting. He's only lucky he's getting out here by the skin of his goddamn teeth, if he has any. 

Cameron smugly walks away.

Trainer's Office
Duke was given clearance after the nefarious attack but he banged his fist on the trainer's bench. Kushida saw and he shook his head in agreement with Duke's frustration.

Kushida: Ah, Cameron-san. Arrogant as always.

Duke: I will not allow him to do me dirty like that again.

Kushida: Be careful, do not lose your principles, Duke-kun.

Duke: Hai, but I haven't seen Masami (Io) yet. 

Kushida: She has no segment tonight. In fact, she didn't show up.

Duke: Kushida-san, do you have her number?

Kushida nods and gives him Io's number.

With Io
Io's apartment
Io, still crestfallen after finding out her fiancee had become unfaithful to her and breaking off their engagement, lay on her bed pondering if she had done anything wrong. Her phone sounded off with a message from Kushida.

Kushida: Masami-chan, we're here for you. And it is better if we talk this out as friends.

Io: Friends? Who is going with you?

Kushida: Duke-kun is coming with me for us to talk this out.

Io suddenly blushes as she sees the mention of Duke and she was hesitant at first.

Io: Why bring him along? What does he know of what happened? Did you tell him?

Kushida: He needs to know because he is concerned for you too. 

Io: But...I'm about to be married... 

Kushida: Sadly, EVIL-san thought otherwise.

Io: *hesitant* Hai, let's talk by the seaside.

Io stares up at the ceiling again but at least this time, she gets to let out her feelings.
