Kane tipped the bottle of booze up and down half of it as he and the pack talked of the battle and the women of the Kingdom.

"That Josette is a hot little minx," he chuckled, continuing his thoughts about the pretty witch in the dining hall, "I bet she comes back with us. "

Cecil laughed,"You sure about that? She didn't seem too interested in you, Chaos. You shouldn't be chasing these girls, man. Your dad won't let you leave the den next time! "

"So, once Devonia gets here, we'll travel on," Josette said as she and Esther made their way into the courtyard, not far from Kane and his group.

Esther hugged her again, "I hate to see you go! I'm so thankful for you, Josette. Your parents would have been so proud of you!"

Kane bowed, not taking his eyes off Josette's.

Esther rolled her eyes, but Josette had had enough. The young witch stepped closer to Kane, much to his surprise.

"That's enough, Chaos!" Kurt howled from the open doorway,"My Queen, your guests would like one more meeting with you before they depart. Kane, get your crew and get the hell out of these territories before there's trouble! You've been well rewarded for your valor! "

Kane chuckled, but nodded.

"From one Alpha to another, you've no real say in what I do, but if Josette and the coven come back with us, I'll leavw with no more trouble. "

Kurt sighed,"You can't be serious? You don't get to fucking negotiate terms, -"

"We'll go!" Josette announced, much to even Kane's surprise,"Just tell Devonia we already left. I've linked her, but I've yet to get a clear word."

She looked to the sky at her familiar, a hawk named Rayla, who was circling overhead.

Josette looked at Kane who kicked his lips and smirked.

"Don't try anything," Josette warned, "I've taught her how to gouge eyeballs out of one's skull."

Kane laughed,"Fuck me.. you're turning me on even more. "

The rest of Josette's group said their goodbyes and gathered their things, not entirely sure about heading out with Kane's pack.

"He won't try anything," Kurt assured them,"At least nothing against your will, but he doesn't let up with the teasing. "

Josette smiled,"I'm sure I can handle him. "

Kane, who'd been listening, eyed the little witch curiously. Surely she had a man at home? A woman? A mate of some sort?

"Let's go!" Kane called from the carriages, "I'm ready to get the hell out of here!"

As Josette was heading to an almost empty carriage, Kane's door swung open and he quickly pulled her in.

"Let go of me!" Josette fought as she landed on Kane's lap, wiggling her body free.

Kane glared at her, his eyes turning gold as he debated on whether or not to shift right there in the carriage.

Josette's voice was weak now knowing that she was in the presence of a very powerful Alpha.

Kane shrugged, his eyes not leaving hers, his gripped tighter around her waist as her dress rode up, exposing her thighs.
