Chapter Fourteen: Reunited
Diana's POV
The smell of bacon and eggs filled my senses making me drool a little. Monica put a plate in front of me and sat down next to me, making a plate for herself.
"Thank you," I said nicely.
"You're welcome."
The door flung open loudly causing me to flinch. Blake walked in with Luca, they were arguing about something.
"Gold is the best way to go, bro, trust me," Blake said stealing some of Monica's food.
She smacked his arm, making him pout.
"I think a beautiful silver might be better," Luca argued.
Blake pulled up a chair and sat next to Monica, grabbing a hold of her hand.
"Why don't we ask Diana?" Blake suggested.
I stopped chewing giving Luca a questioning stare.
"Baby, for your ceremony, which is this Saturday by the way-" I choked on my bacon, coughing.
"This Saturday!?!"
So much for letting me prepare. Luca patted my back and stood behind me, his hands on my shoulders.
"Anyways, we were thinking of what would be a better color for decorations, gold or silver?"
I gave Blake a weird look and Mon gave Luca a weird one.
"Neither." We both said at the same time.
Luca moved my head back so I could see him.
"Well then what would you like as the main color?"
I moved my head back to Monica and smirked at her, she knew exactly what I was thinking.
"I really think a nice lavender purple would look nice, where are we having the ceremony anyway?"
"Why do you think this is called the Packhouse?" Blake stated.
I picked some eggs up with my fork raising it up. I offered Luca some which he didn't object to. I shifted one seat to the left so Luca could sit down. He put an arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer to him.
I lean in, hoisting my legs on top of his continuing to eat my breakfast.
"Why didn't you tell me earlier? Now I'm stressing out! I-I feel like I'm not prepared." I told Luca, Blake, and Monica.
"Don't worry Diana, you'll do great!" Monica assured me.
I gave her a weary smile, turning my head to Luca.
"I'm excited and nervous, so many feelings. What's it gonna be like?" I asked with wonder.
He gave me a look of admiration and slid me onto his lap, which seemed like that was my favorite seat for the past week. I didn't mind though, just looking at him made me feel all jittery inside.
"It's going to be amazing, many of the pack members heard rumors about you and they really want to see you. "
I turned so I would straddle him.
"What if I'm not good enough for them?" I asked, my face falling a little.
"You're good enough for me and that's all that matters, if they want to say something, you leave that to me." I nodded feeling a little better.
The doorbell rang and I stood up to get it.
"I got it!" I chirped as I left the kitchen.
I checked through the peephole to see the man I met the very first day here. The man I called my protector. Quickly opening the door, I saw him turn his head to face me.
"Luna." He said bowing his head.
I gave him a small smile and walked out, closing the door behind me.
"Long time no see. Luckily I'm not sobbing my eyes out now."
He let out a chuckle.
"No worries Luna, is Alpha home?" He asked trying to peek through the window.
I nodded my head before replying.
"Was there something you needed?"
"I tired mind linking him but I think he blocked all contact this morning. I ran here to tell him."
"Tell him what?" I folded my arms waiting for him to reply.
"Luna, there are humans at the border, they are begging for help and seem to be asking about you."
Who could possibly be asking for me? There was no way my group found me.
"Show me," I demanded.
"But Luna-"
I shook my head repeating myself.
"Show me, I'm not asking again."
He sighed shakily.
"Yes, Luna."
He started jogging and I followed closely, walking past many guards and warriors who gave me weird looks.
Once we made it to the border, my heart shattered into millions of pieces.
"Please, you have to help us!" Aiden yelled angrily.
To his left were Daniel and Lena as they held Hayden, who had his arms wrapped around their shoulders. Blood was seeping through his shirt, drenching it.
To the right, Alex stood alone holding his arm, covered with dirt and leaves.
Jade was on Aiden's back sobbing and holding her stomach with one hand while the other hand was trying to reach out for Hayden.
"Sir, I'm doing the best I can, help is on the way."
One of the guards replied. I ran out of the trees showing my self and my 'protector' who I still need to get the name of, began speaking.
"Jack, you may leave now, I have the Luna here."
The man named Jack nodded rushing back deeper into the pack territory. Aiden's eyes shifted towards me and my 'protector' widening slightly. They began to tear up.
"D-Diana?"
I ran to him giving him a hug and yelled at the guard strongly.
"G-go get Luca. NOW!"
He bowed and ran back to the Packhouse.
"Here come closer, get in the territory, you'll be safer."
They moved a few steps closer to me with a struggle until they finally made it in. Daniel and Lena laid Hayden on the floor kneeling down to him, putting pressure on his wound.
I sat next to him giving them both hugs, starting to cry at the sight.
"W-what happened to him?" I whimpered.
Daniel covered his mouth whimpering.
"We got attacked by some wolves, or so we thought."
I heard leaves crunching behind us, making me shift my head. Luca ran out looking around quickly until his worried eyes met mine.
A sob left my mouth as I ran into his arms. He grabbed my face looking up and down my whole body.
"Are you hurt?" I shook my head and pointed my finger to my group.
"Luca, I'll explain later but you need to get them help! P-please they'll die if we don't."
I wrapped my arms around his torso burying my head in his chest, soaking his shirt with my tears. He embraced me holding me tight.
"Nick, grab a few guards, and lead them all to the Packhouse, tell one of them to grab a couple of pack doctors."
My 'protector' nodded his head quickly running away from us again. Luca pulled away from me causing me to whimper.
"Diana stay behind me. Now, I need to check them all out before they can come in the territory."
I shook my head, standing in front of him.
"Luca trust me, they are good people," I said quietly.
He rubbed his neck, thinking.
"Luca please," I begged and pleaded.
He walked closer to me, holding my waist and gave a soft kiss on my lips, the taste of my salty tears getting in the way. He put a finger under my chin, kissing my nose.
"Okay." He whispered, looking back up at them.
I grabbed his hand and pulled him towards Hayden.
"He can't die, he just can't."
I kept my hand in Luca's resting my head on his shoulder.
"We just got the message, what happened?" I heard from behind me.
Luca stepped in front of me, growling in a protective manner. Once he realized it was Blake and Monica he relaxed. I ran to Monica, hugging her tightly, and cried in her shoulder.
"Blake, grab the man on the floor, I'll help you, he needs urgent help. We are going to head to the Packhouse. Monica, I need you to stay put, when the guards come you need to send them to the Packhouse also. There will be pack doctors there." Luca said his voice deeper than usual.
I turned my head to see Blake and Luca getting a hold of Hayden and dragging him back to the house.
"L-Luca I am staying here with Monica," I said.
He shook his head putting one arm out.
"No, it's dangerous. I need you next to me at all times, at least until all this tension dies down."
Monica nudged my shoulder.
"Go. I'll be fine, I will also make sure every single one of them makes it to you." She said in a stern voice.
I wiped my tears, walking to Luca. He put his arm around my shoulder, while the other arm carried Hayden. On our walk back to the Packhouse, Luca asked me,
"Can I please have an explanation now Diana?"
"That was my youth group. The man you are holding is my youth leader, he has saved me many times, I guess now it's my turn." My voice was raspy and dry.
I cleared my throat keeping quiet the rest of the way back.
We made it back, I immediately opened the door walking in and holding it open for the boys.
They laid Hayden on the couch and raised his shirt up. I gagged, hiding my head in Luca's back.
"Rogues. They were trying to eat him, a chunk of him is missing." Blake said with shock and disgust in his voice.
"No shit Blake, I can f*cking see," Luca replied.
The pack doctor walked in with a box of medical supplies.
"Alpha, I tried coming as soon as I could, I'm very sorry about the delay." He said out of breath.
He knelt down by Hayden, checking his pulse. His head turned to the three of us before quickly saying.
"I work better without an audience."
Luca grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the backyard. The whole time I have been here, I never went into the backyard.
The sight made me forget about everything that was going on for a second. It was so green and was surrounded by trees.
"Luca this is so beautiful," I whispered.
He wrapped his arms around me from behind, laying his head on my shoulder.
"I'm glad you like it."
I started to think about Hayden and the gang once again.
"I really hope they are okay," I whispered again, leaning more into Luca.
He rubbed my hands which laid on my stomach.
"I'll do everything I can to make sure they are safe and get better."
I smiled, wiping my eyes.
"God answered my prayers," I said before looking up at the sky.
"What?" Luca questioned.
"He answered my prayers, he gave me you. I prayed every night hoping that I would find someone special in my life, a friend, or someone I could spend the rest of my life with. I love you so much, Luca."
He twisted my waist and turned me around so I could face him. His lips met mine and he pulled me closer. I wrapped my arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. After a couple of minutes, we both pulled away, breathing heavily for air.
"I love you too."
I laughed happily, giving him a hug. He rubbed my back soothingly and tried to get my thoughts off of the problem that was happening.
"How would you like it if we did your ceremony out here?"
I nodded my head, snuggling into him trying to warm up. It was a little chilly out.
"Why don't we head upstairs?" He suggested.
He turned around and bent down slightly.
"What are you doing?" I asked giggling.
I sniffled rubbing my hands up and down my arms for warmth.
"Get on Diana."
I jumped on his back and snuggled into him once again.
He walked back in and I saw pack doctors all over the place. They were all over Hayden while the group was surrounding him.
"Hold on, I need to talk to them first."
I was put down on the ground and I walked towards them. They saw me and I felt arms wrap all around me.
"Oh my goodness you're okay!" Jade said, sighing in relief.
I turned around and saw Luca leaning against the staircase, waiting for me.
"Luca, how many guest rooms do we have?"
AN: Yay she found her group again! This might be good, or maybe make things worse...
Much Love!
