Back when Kyle and Janiyah were friends in college, they were very supportive of each other's goals. They even planned to open an accounting firm together. They would even go to parties together and hang out with each other all the time.

Kyle was egotistical, so each time he was commended by his professors or won an award he bragged about it. Whereas, Janiyah was a calm and well-mannered person. She made friends with almost every one she came in contact with on the campus.

"Niyah, we are going to take over the business world with Jacobs and Frazier Accounting Services." He would always put his name before hers, but Janiyah did not let it bother her.

"Yes, we are Kyle. Indeed we are." Janiyah was also a confident person, but she never let it go to her head.

In senior year, the accolades started to disappear for Kyle and swung towards' Janiyah. He became jealous of the attention Janiyah began receiving. He barely even congratulated her for anything she achieved.

Kyle slowly drifted away from being friends with Janiyah. They stopped hanging out and going to parties together. Janiyah did not let it bother her because she was focused on achieving her degree. She tried talking with him several times, but he was very dismissive. So, Janiyah never bothered with Kyle again. They were no longer friends. Kyle considered Janiyah competition.

Janiyah received the highest grade in their accounting class, and she even received the award for "Best Student in Accounting/Business Administration" courses.

Kyle was hot! "There's no way you won that award without cheating!" He had the nerve to say because he just knew that award was automatically his.

"Kyle, you lost your mind saying I cheated. I don't know what your problem is, but the world does not revolve around you. I earned that award fairly. So, back off!" Janiyah retorted back to him.

From that day on, he always accused Janiyah of cheating.

Even after graduation and when each of them started their businesses, he became overly jealous and accusatory towards Janiyah.

Janiyah totally ignored it because it was baseless. And, those who knew her did not believe Kyle's antics.

Within a year after graduating from college, Janiyah built a highly successful accounting firm. Kyle continued his bitterness and tried numerous attempts to steal money from Janiyah because he claims she stole his success.

Kyle's attempts to steal Janiyah's money finally led him to use Amira and Dylan in his scheme. His final attempt was unsuccessful, which led them to being arrested.

It's really sad the things people do for money.
