Janiyah's POV

Graeme and I spent almost the whole weekend rehearsing lines for the movie. I messed up a few times, but overall Graeme said I did great.

I didn't know what to wear to the set. I hope what I have on is okay. As the limo came to a stop in the parking lot, Lou, Graeme, and Damion were waiting for me.

Graeme opened the door to help me out.

"Hello, gentlemen. I wasn't sure what to wear. I hope this is okay."

"Janiyah, whatever you feel comfortable in is okay with me. Actually, what you are wearing is perfect for your scene today. Another thing I forgot to ask you about is your wardrobe. What are you not comfortable with wearing?"

"I'm comfortable wearing whatever is set for me for a scene. I have no problem with that. I'm very confident and not ashamed of my body."

"Okay. I have a stylist in your trailer that will help you with outfits. She will need your size. Also, you have a makeup and hairstylist as well. Graeme will take to your trailer. Also, Graeme, give Janiyah a tour of the lot. Let's see, it is now 1:00 pm. How about we meet on the set at 3:00 pm?"

"I can do that. Let's go, my queen. You might want some flat shoes. We can stop at your trailer."

"Okay." As Graeme and I walked to the trailer, he introduced me to everyone we passed.

"Everyone on the set is friendly. Whatever you need, no matter what it is, just ask. Your trailer is right next to mine. And, no, I didn't ask for you to be next to me. Each trailer is like a one-bedroom apartment with a bathroom and wardrobe room. You even have a kitchenette. It's very spacious."

"Listen, don't feel like you need to treat me differently because we are married. I want you to treat me like you treat the others. I don't want anyone to think I am a favorite."

"I promise." Graeme knocked on the door first, then entered.

"Janiyah, I want you to meet your team - Cindi is your hairstylist. To the left of Cindi is Sherry. She is your makeup stylist. And, next to Sherry is Clair. Clair is your wardrobe stylist and one of the best. Ladies, this is my wifey, Janiyah."

"It's nice to meet you. I look forward to working with you ladies. And, I am not a difficult person to work with."

"Thank you for letting us know upfront. That Carrie actress was terrible to work with. I look forward to working with you too. What can we get you?"

"I wore heels. Graeme is going to give me a tour of the lot, so I was wondering if there was a pair of flat shoes for me to wear."

"Graeme did tell me your shoe size. He wasn't sure about your clothes size. I have all kinds of shoes and colors for you. I'll get you a red pair. When you come back, we can talk about your wardrobe."

Clair walked into what looks like the wardrobe room. She came back with a pair of Prada sandals. Hey, I know my brands. Clair handed me the shoes.

"Thank you so much."

"You're welcome. What part of Texas are you from? I can tell from your accent. I have some cousins who live in Dallas."

"I was born and raised in Houston."

"Cool. I always love visiting my family. We always have a big, family picnic there in the summer. You both better get going on your tour."

"We can chat later. And, don't feel nervous. Everyone on the studio lot is family. We help each other to be successful."

"Thank you, Clair."

Graeme and I then left the trailer for our tour.

After our tour, I went back to the trailer to give Clair my size for clothes. She said I will also have a wardrobe on the set which will be in my home. Graeme came to get me, then we walked over to the set. My name for the movie is Carmen Clarke, and I am an architect. Graeme is Jax Cooper, and Damion is Neo. Neo and Carmen are brother and sister.

Lou began to speak. "Okay, everyone gather together. In the first part of the scene, Neo is communicating with Jax. Now, as previously stated Neo is trapped in the center of the Earth. He is, fortunately, able to communicate to the surface of the Earth. Let's begin the scene. Action!!"

Graeme's POV

"Neo, hang in there. We are having issues with the design of the ship. I will get you out. I promise."

"Jax, you know there is only one person who can help you design a ship, and she is the best, remember?"

"Do you have any idea how hard it will be convincing Carmen to help us? We have not spoken in years since the breakup."

"Jax, we have no choice. It's your fault anyway. And, I want to get out of here. You know we were sworn to secrecy about my traveling to the center of the Earth. Trust me, she will help once she knows I am in trouble. Please, Jax."

"Fine. I'll do it. Talk to you later."

I then hung up the phone.

"Jax, I don't want to know what happened between you and Carmen Clarke, but we need her help to build the ship. Neo is right, Carmen is the best. That is who we should have gotten to build Neo's ship in the first place. Whatever she needs or wants to build the ship, it's hers. Get her now!"

"Yes sir, Commander Lewis."

Lou - "And, cut! Excellent. Now, Graeme, you'll stay here. Janiyah and I will go to the location of her set home. Once we are set up, I'll call for you to drive over."

"Got it."

About 20 minutes later, I got the call from Lou to drive over. For the movie, I am driving a Chevy Silverado, which is a sweet pickup. So, I got in and drove it over to the location, which is near a lake.

After stepping out of the truck, I went to knock on the door.

"Jax Cooper, you have some nerve showing up on my front porch! Goodbye!"

"Carmen, wait. Listen, I'm sorry about the way our relationship ended 2 years ago. Neo, let me have it."

"You dumped me for some chick that looked like Malibu Barbie, Jax! How the heck was I supposed to feel about that?! Let me guess? She dumped you. Ugh, Jax, go away."

Janiyah doesn't seem nervous at all. That's my girl.

"Carmen, please listen to me. We need to talk, and it's about Neo."

"Uh, Uh...."

Lou - "Cut! Janiyah, you're doing great. Take a couple of deep breaths. Then, let me know when you are ready."

Janiyah took a few deep breaths. "Okay, I'm ready."

Lou - "Okay. We'll pick up where you ask Jax what happened to Neo. Action!!!"

"What happened to my brother, Jax?"

"Can I come in?"

"Fine. Come in and do not touch anything."

"You have a beautiful home, CC."

"Don't ever call me that again. You lost that privilege 2 years ago. Follow me to the living room. You interrupted my packing for vacation. And, I have company coming over. He is on his way, so start talking."

"You have company, as in a boyfriend?"

"Duh, I'm free to date whoever I want, Jax. Was I supposed to sit and mope over you? You should know me better than that. Jax, you are the one who chose to end our relationship. What about my brother?"

"Only a selected few know what I am about to tell you. We work for a secret organization who attempts dangerous missions. Neo was sent on a mission to the center of the Earth. On his way back to the surface, he suffered damage to his ship. He's stuck. The materials used to build the ship wasn't sufficient. And, here is the weird part. Neo says there is land down there, surrounded by trees and vegetation."

"My brother is where?! Did I hear you right?"

"He is stuck in the center of the Earth. Carmen, I came to you because we, meaning the agency Neo and I work for, need your help to design a ship to take me to rescue Neo. The ship needs to be designed for people and living quarters, accurately and fast. We have a frame of the ship built, but we need your expertise so we can figure the right material to use for the outer frame. You will have access to whatever materials or whatever you need."

"I'll do it for my brother. And, I'm going with you. He is all that I have left after our parents passed."

"Absolutely not. This is a dangerous situation. Whether you believe me or not, I still care about you. I can't risk you getting hurt too."

"You have a strange way of showing how you care. Whether you like it or not I'm going to get my brother, Jax. End of discussion. My company is here. I'll be back."

Lou - "Cut!! That's a wrap for today. Good job everyone!! And, let's give Janiyah a great intro into the family. This was her first time acting in a movie. You were a natural. Keep up the good work."

Everyone began clapping for Janiyah. She did an excellent job. Since her scene today needed her to be angry, I told her to picture Jackson. It worked because she was for sure upset.

"Thank you, Lou. And, thank you, everyone." Everyone started walking back to their trailers. Damion and I walked over to Janiyah. I gave my wifey a kiss.

"You did great, sis."

"Thanks, Damion. Thank goodness no one could see my stomach because I was totally nervous."

"You didn't seem nervous at all. Trust me, you will continue improving in your skills as an actress because you are good at what you do. I'm proud of you."

Janiyah's POV

"You're proud of me?"

"I sure am. You not only run a highly, successful accounting firm but aced your first acting experience."

"Thank you for being proud of me. Uh, are you okay with me kissing in my next scene?"

"I'm okay with it. How about we all go out to have a celebratory dinner?"

"Sounds good to me."

Before going to sleep last night, I practiced my lines for today's scenes. I'm ready. Blake Russell, the actor, is playing the role of my boyfriend, Sebastian.

Lou - "Okay, ladies and gents, let's begin where we ended yesterday. Jax is about to meet Carmen's boyfriend. Janiyah and Blake will be entering the living room. Action!!"

"Sebastian, this is Jax Cooper. Jax, this is my boyfriend, Sebastian."

"Sebastian, we will need to reschedule our vacation. My brother's life is at stake. I'm not sure I can tell you the rest."

Jax - "No, you can't tell the rest. That's classified. Carmen, you need to be ready in the morning to leave. I will come pick you up."

Sebastian - "What can I do to help?"

"Stay here tonight since I need to leave in the morning."

Sebastian - "Of course. Have you had dinner yet?"

"No, I haven't eaten yet. I was packing until Jax came."

Sebastian - "I'll go fix dinner for us."

"Thanks."

Blake pulled me closer to him, put his hands on my cheeks, and kissed me passionately. We discussed beforehand that he would not be putting his tongue down my throat. Graeme is the only one who can do that. After the kiss, Blake walked towards the kitchen.

Jax - "So, that's your boyfriend?"

"Don't even start it, Jax. You have no right to question my taste, After all, I did date you until you dumped me. At least Sebastian cares about my feelings. You know what? You said whatever I needed I can use, correct?"

Jax - "Yes."

"Then, I want Sebastian to come with me. He is a Scientist and can help me pick the right material to use. He is one of the reasons I am one of the best architects in the country."

In an annoyed tone,

Jax - "Fine. Just be ready in the morning. I'll be here at 9:00 am. Goodbye, CC."

"Ugh, you are so infuriating. Goodbye!"

Lou - Cut!! Excellent scene everyone. Let's all take a break and reconvene at 4:30 pm."

We did a few more scenes, then wrapped up the day - Jax came to pick me and Sebastian up and I met Jax's superior.

Lou is giving me Wednesday off. I'll be back on the set Thursday.

"Where would wifey like to eat tonight?"

"At home tonight. And, after dinner, I'm going to look over my lines for Thursday."

"You like acting, don't you?"

"You know what? I think I do. But I love doing what I do, my accounting firm. That comes first. I don't want to over-extend myself to burn myself out. I want us to have a little Graeme and Janiyah one day."

"So, do I. Let's get going." After locking up my trailer, Graeme, Damion, and I left the set. I am looking forward to Thursday.
