ACG - Chapter 17

After they exited the plane, Damion and Graeme made sure Christy reached her hotel safely.
"Thank you, gentlemen. While you are working on getting me clearance, I'll do some research on that list of movies you gave me, Graeme. As well as the directors."
"You're welcome, Christy. Did Niko get you a vehicle to drive around town in?" Graeme asked her.
"He sure did. Niko sent me a text that my ride should be arriving shortly once I made it to the hotel. I'm going to rest today. Then, tomorrow I'll get started on my research," Christy replies.
"Okay. Have a great evening. And, thanks again, Christy for your help."
"You're welcome, Graeme. Have a great night too."
"Christy, I'll help you with your luggage. Graeme, I'll be right back." Damion and Christy exited the limo, then walked to the trunk to get her luggage. Damion and Christy proceeded to enter the hotel.
While waiting for Damion, Graeme made a Skype call to Janiyah to tell her they made it safely to California. Once Damion returned from the hotel, he hopped in the limo. The limo drove Graeme and Damion to Graeme's home.
Meanwhile, back in Houston, Janiyah was having Graeme Harrison withdrawals. She missed her Papito.
They stayed on the phone for a couple of hours before Janiyah said good night. Janiyah then fixed herself some dinner and watched a little television.
Janiyah started feeling tired, so she turned off the television, cleaned her dishes, and headed to bed.

Before Graeme and Damion made their way to the new set, Graeme called Janiyah to hear her voice and wish her to have a good day. He did not want to hang up the phone, but 20 minutes later he did.
"Let's get this day started, and finished," Graeme says to Damion.
"I feel you, man. I can't stand Jackson." Damion and Graeme then left the house for their rehearsal.
************************************
Christy started her research on each movie that Jackson suddenly became the male lead-in. She noticed three of the movies were directed by men. The other two were women. Three of the movies were nominated for awards. And, two won awards for the best movie.
"Now that I have the names of the directors, I need to dig further as to what Jackson wanted to expose on them."
**************************************
Janiyah could barely concentrate on the mound of work she had to do. And, barely heard the knock on her office door. "Come in."
"I got you a little pick me up, Janiyah." Madison entered with a drink from Starbucks, along with a cake pop.
"Thank you, Madi. Sorry for being a sourpuss."
"It's okay, boss lady. I understand because I miss Brett. Long-distance is tough."
"Would you like to fly with me Friday to California for the weekend? I'm leaving for the airport from the office."
"Would I?! I'll bring a suitcase with me. Thank you, boss lady! Your real estate agent wants you to know that he found a few potential plots of land for a new location in Los Angeles. When would you like to go take a look at them?"
"How about you and I check them out on Monday. We can come back on Tuesday," Janiyah says.
"I'll let him know. See you later, Janiyah." Madison then left Janiyah's office. The coffee from Starbucks helped Janiyah make it through the rest of the workday.
**********************************
Graeme and Damion were surprised the first day of filming with Jackson went smoothly. But they had to stay on guard because one never knows what Jackson is up to.
"That's a wrap! Great job everyone!" The director yelled, signaling the end of the day.
"Damion, I'll meet you by my SUV. I need to speak to the director really quickly," Graeme then quickly says.
"Hey, Lou, can I talk to you for a minute?" Graeme says to the director.
"Sure, Graeme. What's up?" Lou replied.
"I need a big favor. My cousin's best friend from San Diego wants to do her college research paper on the ins and outs of filming a movie. I was wondering if you can get security clearance for her?"
"How long would she need clearance for?" Lou asked Graeme. He had to think of an answer fast.
"Uh, at least three weeks," Graeme replied.
"Follow me to security. What's her name? She will need a badge to show to the guard at the studio lot gate," Lou says as he and Graeme head over to the security booth.

Christy, meanwhile, found herself a little corner at a Starbucks near her hotel to continue her search for clues. Her phone started ringing. She saw that it was Graeme and answered it.
Christy - "Hey, Graeme how was your rehearsal today?"
Graeme - "It was definitely surprising. Jackson was on his best behavior. But Damion and I are going to keep our guard up. I know he is going to pull something, but don't know when. Anyway, I was calling because I was able to get you clearance for the set and movie. I have a badge for you. Where are you now?"
Christy - "At the Starbucks down the street from my hotel."
Graeme - "Okay. Damion and I will meet you there. See you soon."
Christy - "Thanks, Graeme. See you soon."
While waiting for Graeme, Christy continued her search online for a potential lead for information.
"Hmm, I need to pull the 'I know Jackson Pierce' card to get an interview with these directors. The first director on my list is Mr. Lincoln Taylor, director of 'Mending In The Sun.'"
Christy found an email address for Mr. Taylor. She penned an email saying she was a part of Jackson Pierce's team and wanted to talk about increasing the percentage of royalties for the film. Within 5 minutes, the director emailed a location for them to meet the next day. Christy agreed to the meeting in a reply back to the director. "It's a start."
Christy happened to glance up and saw both Damion and Graeme enter. She waved them both over.
"Hey, guys. Have a seat. So, I located an email address for the director from 'Mending In The Sun.' I posed as a member of Jackson Pierce's team and wanted to talk about increase royalties for the movie. He emailed me back with 5 minutes."
"That was fast. My hunch is he doesn't want Jackson to expose a secret or something," says Graeme.
Christy agreed. "I was thinking the same thing. Anyway, the meeting will be tomorrow at a private location. He hasn't replied back yet with the location though."
"That's a start. Oh, before I forget, here is your security badge for the set. I told Lou that you were my cousin's best friend from San Diego and that you were working on a college research paper on the ins and outs of filming a movie," Graeme says as he gives Christy the badge. "Oh, I told him your name was Jayde Cole."
"Okay. I will need to remember that. I need to find a restaurant to eat dinner at," Christy then says.
"Damion and I will treat you to dinner. What do you have a taste for?" Graeme asked.
"Hmm, a good steak sounds really good."
"You got it. Let's get out of here."
Just as they were about to get in their vehicles......
"Listen, I know you don't want to hear from me, but what I have to say you need to hear," Jennifer says to Graeme, Damion, and Christy. Graeme was fuming hot.
"We don't have time for you. You have caused enough damage to my family. Goodbye, Jennifer," Graeme says.
"I am also working to expose Jackson Pierce," Jennifer then blurts out.
Graeme, Damion, and Christy stopped in their tracks.
"Please allow me to explain. I'll follow you to wherever you are going for dinner," Jennifer says.
Graeme didn't know whether to trust her or not. Or, if she would report back to Jackson what she found out. Graeme's facial expression hardened when he asked, "How do I know you won't tell Jackson about what we are doing?"
"I work for the Bureau of Crime Agency. I was chosen to go undercover and expose Jackson Pierce." Jennifer showed them her badge. "And, no, it is not fake. Here's my card if you want to call my boss for verification."
"Fine. You can follow us. But you sure can believe I will be calling that number," Graeme says while everyone proceeds to their vehicles.

Graeme took everyone to the Paramount Steakhouse in Los Angeles. As soon as they were seated, Graeme pulled out the card Jennifer gave him and called the number. Jennifer's boss confirmed with Graeme that she was telling the truth.
"Were you undercover while we dated?" Graeme asked.
"Well, uh that's when it started. I had to start somewhere. I had to use someone so that I could make myself known through Hollywood. Once I was established, I put my plan in motion to go for Jackson Pierce," Jennifer answered.
Graeme was highly irritated. "Why me?"
"Well, you were and are still one of the most sought after actors there is - for movies and amongst fans around the globe. Jackson at the time wasn't popular. But once he started getting those A-list movie roles, his popularity soared. Once he became popular, that's when I got the call to uh, cheat with Jackson to start investigating him," Jennifer says.
"Okay, can I ask why are you going after Jackson?" Christy asked with a suspicious look on her face.
"I can't tell you everything, but I can tell you that he is accused of stealing large sums of money. But, no one knows where he keeps it or what he does with it. What are you trying to find on him?" Jennifer says.
"He has stolen major movie roles from Graeme and several actors. I have been well compensated to find out why. And, I'm not obliged to tell you everything either," Christy replies.
"And, I am sorry about the turmoil that caused the rift between you and your sister."
"You have some major explaining to do, and to my whole family. And, to my bride-to-be, who will be visiting this weekend. I haven't spoken to Megan in a long time," Graeme angrily blurts out.
"Please let me know a time and place to be. I will tell them exactly what I told you," Jennifer tells Graeme, Christy, and Damion.
Graeme was irritated throughout the whole evening. Damion was in total shock. Meanwhile, Christy received an email notification on her phone. Lincoln Taylor specified a meeting place for the next day.
After they finished eating, Graeme paid for dinner. "Since you know where I live, come to my house Saturday evening. It's going to be hard talking to my family about you. Come around 6:00 pm," Graeme says.
"I'll be there. Good night everyone," Jennifer got in her car and pulled away from the restaurant.
"I'll call you tomorrow, Graeme, about what happened with the interview. Try to have a good night," Christy says then gets in her SUV. She puts into the GPS the address of the hotel. Then, she pulls off.
Graeme and Damion head back to his house.

After Christy ate her breakfast, she took off for the address that Mr. Taylor gave to her. Christy parked her Infiniti Q60 in a parking space close to the office building she was sent to.
She then made her way into the building and walked over to the receptionist's desk. She used the name Graeme gave her and told the receptionist about her appointment.
The receptionist showed Christy the direction she needed to go to for her appointment. Before she entered the office, she opened her phone to record the whole conversation.
Lincoln Taylor was pacing back and forth in the room, wondering what was about to happen.
"What does Jackson want now? If he takes those lies to the media, I will be ruined in Hollywood," he says before Christy has a chance to sit down.
"Mr. Taylor, I need to apologize in advance. In order to get this interview, I told you I was a part of Jackson's team. But I am not. I am working with actor Graeme Harrison to expose Jackson Pierce for the fraud he is. The main character for 'Mending In The Sun' was to be Luca Calderone. Luca told Graeme that his contract was terminated so Jackson could be announced the main lead. Jackson was blackmailing you, wasn't he?" Christy asked.
"Yes, he was. He told me if I didn't make him the lead of the movie, he would tell the media that I have hidden cameras in every women's bathroom in this building. I would NEVER do a thing such as vile and disgusting as that. So, before the cast was announced to the media, I had to come up with a reason to say Luca violated the contract. And, Jackson wanted to be there," Lincoln says to Christy.
"Mr. Harrison was also terminated from a movie for Jackson. It has been told to me that he has done that on at least 5 movies that I know of," Christy then mentions.
"He is also receiving a huge percentage of royalties from the movie from the purchase of DVDs, Blu-ray disc, and each time it is purchased and downloaded on computers. I felt terrible about what I did to Mr. Calderone. I hope you succeed in bringing Jackson Pierce down before he ruins Hollywood. If you need any further information, you can send me an email."
Christy shook Mr. Taylor's hand and thanked him for his time. As soon as she exited the office, she pressed the stop button to no longer record the conversation. She headed to the same Starbucks location to set up her next interview.

Meanwhile, Graeme and Damion were still wondering when Jackson was going to strike because they had another successful day of shooting scenes.
After rehearsal, he spent most of the evening convincing his family to meet on Saturday with Megan and Jennifer. He asked them to trust him and hear what Jennifer has to say. After several hours if intense disagreements back and forth, everyone agreed.
The hardest one to convince was going to be Janiyah, whom he was waiting at the airport for.
Friday, March 11th, 2019
As soon as he saw Janiyah's plane land, he drove over to it. Within 10 minutes, the door was opened. Maddie and Janiyah then descended off the plane.
Graeme engulfed Janiyah with the longest hug and kiss ever. Maddie chuckled, "You guys are cute. Janiyah was a sourpuss all week, Graeme. I'm sure you were too."
"I sure was. But I did well enough to film my movie scenes," Graeme replies. "The trunk is open, so you can put your bags in the back, and we can get you both home." The ladies placed their luggage in the back, then took their seats. Graeme pulled away from the plane.
Janiyah noticed Graeme was totally silent on the ride to his home. "Something is bothering you. What's wrong, Papito?" Janiyah asked.
"Now Janiyah, please don't be upset about what I have to say. Uh, tomorrow evening we are having a family dinner/meeting, which will include Megan." Graeme went quiet to wait for Janiyah's reply.
She didn't say one word, but Graeme knew Janiyah was about to explode. "And, uh another visitor will be joining us. And, you won't be happy about it."
While stopped at a traffic light, Janiyah turned to Graeme with a glare on her face. "Who is the other visitor? Spit it out now."
"Uh, uh Jennifer. Remember that I'm driving before you break anything," he says hoping for the best.
Janiyah mumbled, "I'm perfectly fine, Graeme Harrison." He knew she was pissed off because she didn't call him Papito.
"At least listen to what she has to say because you will not believe it. I still don't believe it myself."
Through gritted teeth, Janiyah said, "Fine, Graeme."
Graeme sighed, "This is going to be a long, family dinner."
