8. Rollicking Amnesty
After 2 days,
"Aarush?" Priyal called out. He hummed.
"Wanna go out today?" she asked him. There was a glint in his eyes.
"Can we? Can I? Seriously? Really?" his mouth was short of words.
"You're quite fine now. The outing is necessary!"
"Thank you, Pri, Alcmene." he hugged her and kept her head close to his heart. The same heartbeats, she whined!
Priyal said. Priyal nodded and offered him casual wear. The black shirt paired with red pants and a half- jacket was complimenting his look. While her black-white floral middy paired along with black boots was making her look adorable.
"Why're you ambling, Ms. Banerjee?" Aarush groaned for the nth time.
"Yuh! Mr. Erebus Sahay, wait!" she replied and finally entwined their hands.
Heavily breathing, she muttered, "Yuh! Why are you running like a small child, huh? As if it's your first time outing? It isn't the first time."
Aarush had an expressionless face.
"This freedom is what I got after 4 freakin' years. Did you get that? I never did anything which could bring your memories back to me, and traveling was one of them. This, this freedom is of a decade, which is there, just because you're with me." he said.
Priyal repented hurting him unknowingly. She wiped his tears and held Aarush's hand. With great enthusiasm, she dragged Aarush with him to the movie hall.
Not the mushy- mushy romantic movie, but a mystery- thriller which was the choice of both.
"For the first time in this decade, I feel complete." Aarush smiled with radiance. She also smiled. After 2.5 hrs, she got a call, they were done watching the film also.
"Wait, what? He, he is admitted? Where?" Priyal was bickering over the phone, all tensed.
"Ok, coming there!" she said with finality.
"Aarush, I will drop you, come!" Priyal suggested Aarush.
"No, why? I am not going back this early." he pouted.
"But, I can't accompany you anymore today. There's a person whom I need to meet on urgent. It's serious." she replied.
"Come then! I would accompany you. No outing required, when you're with me." he replied. She smiled with pursed lips. She had to agree and there was considerably no harm.
"By the way, what's the problem, Pri?" Aarush asked her.
"You would get to know soon, hun!" she couldn't speak further. Sweat beads were forming on her forehead, she was scared, literally scared.
She made her way to one of the most prestigious hospitals of Mumbai, along with Aarush.
"Umm, where can I find Viren Sehgal?" Priyal asked the receptionist.
"Who are you?" the receptionist confirmed.
"A friend," she replied, and the receptionist guided Priyal and Aarush.
"Such an adorable pair!" the receptionist murmured seeing Aarush and Priyal.
"Sister, where can I find Dr. Aliya Randhawa?" Priyal asked. The nurse guided them.
"Woah! You are Priyal Banerjee, right? The most successful psychiatrist in Eurasia?" the doctor confirmed. Priyal didn't like this type of talk but nodded. Aarush was shocked to hear her achievement.
"What had happened to Viren?" she asked.
"A massive cardiac arrest," Dr. Randhawa replied. She gave her the necessary details. Priyal couldn't take it. Aarush was noticing even her minute expressions. She was genuinely worried about the person, Aarush concluded.
"Can we meet him?" Priyal looked towards Aarush and then at Aliya. Aliya smiled.
She took them with her to his room.
"Vir?" Priyal called him. He turned to see her and bit his tongue. How will he face her? He lied to her so that she could focus on her work and life.
Her eyes were moistened. She held his ear and he pouted!
"You didn't let me know why? I got to know this from a doctor friend here. Cardiac arrest! It's not a small thing. You were lucky enough to survive. How would I have lived without you, Mr. dramatic!" Priyal complained and embraced Viren. She was sobbing and Viren patted her back.
"I am fine now, Priyal. Stop crying like a baby." he teased her. She chuckled and smacked his arm. Aarush was feeling jealous to see their bonding. He was having a hard time.
"I would see you soon. For now, just take rest!" she ordered Viren, and he nodded. He winked towards Aliya and she blushed.
"Ahm ahm!" Priyal realized that she forgot Aarush.
"Oh! Meet Aarush, my buddy. And, Aarush, he's Viren, my BFF." she introduced them to each other. Aarush smiled meekly towards Viren. Courtesy, Jealousy! He hugged Viren and wished him a speedy recovery.
"Priyal, actually, you have to fulfill some formalities. Please meet the receptionist." Aliya told Priyal. She nodded.
"Thank you so much, Dr. Aliya. For taking care of him." Aarush thanked Aliya. Priyal smiled towards Aarush.
"I needa go Aarush. Until you talk with Viren." Priyal said and Aarush nodded. With pursed lips, he sat beside Viren.
Aliya informed the receptionist to give the particular papers to Priyal. While the receptionist was searching for it, Priyal bumped into a ward boy who was carrying a huge bundle of files and papers.
Her eyes stopped on a file named Aarush Sahay, dated- 23 June 2017, the deadliest day of her life.
✪❁☆✪❁☆✪❁☆✪❁☆✪❁☆❁
How was the update?
Cliffhanger, again! And, I believe, a deadly one this time.
What could be there inside the file, and what's up with this date- 23 June 2017?
Viren and Aliya, any thoughts on them?
Aarush and Priyal, what would you say about them?
Much love, Priya
