17. Wandering Minds
.Priyal.
"5:00 AM," I muttered. My hand touched my face, dry tears still rolling down. Why can't I live peacefully? Wasn't that piece of information enough that another hurricane arrived as Aarush?
No, I don't have the capacity to face now. My thoughts halted, when the mobile beeped, revealing a piece of bi-favorable-faced information.
I got up, washed my face, and brushed my teeth. A shower and I wore a bathrobe.
"Aarush, close your eyes." I was sensing that he was also awake. He hummed from the other side of the closed door, and I opened it.
I held his wrist and led him into the washroom, notified him to bathe, I can't let him be here, he can be a walking death for people.
My apparel was changed into a wavy girl's shirt and a jet black bell-bottom. I asked the receptionist to send a pair of casual wear for Aarush. I didn't want to become problematic for Viren.
"It's 7 now," he muttered.
"Where are we going?" he again muttered. I shushed him, his voice is leading me to all the horrible memories given by him.
This time, no tears, until I find this whole drama. He sat on the couch, beside me, and inched closer. Having my palm in his muscular hand, he said.
"Priyal, I know, I am not sane. I am not able to control myself, as if my brain is dominating me." his words sent me back, into a deeper turmoil. Is he becoming? No.
"Aarush, of all the people in this world, you have a special place in my heart, but you have to get it in your consciousness, that your actions can hurt me or anyone," I replied. He sighed.
After few minutes, we were in the cab, which led us to the address of Niyati Mehra.
"What work do we have here, Pri?" Aarush asked me, his expressions clearly darkening.
"No, nothing. Just come if you want to or... I was short of words.
"You can proceed. Let me grasp some fresh air at that park," Weird, wasn't it?
I knocked on the ajar gate. No response. I again knocked, but harder, and it went open. I called out the owner, but my voice just echoed, and nothing else.
.Aarush.
What work does she have here now? Ugh! I came all the way knocking down by the local police and security, illegally even, blackmailing, just to meet her.
I crossed states to meet her, from Mumbai to Mussoorie. In its close vicinity is that lake, our lake, my and Nitya's place. But, my brain traveled back to Priyal.
I glanced at the sky, nothing could relax me. She wasn't with me. I-I, what was I becoming? My head started to pain, yet again, even more terribly, and I stood there, holding it in my hands.
I want to scream, but can't. The more I open up, the more I bring differences between me and Priyal.
After a few moments of fudging internally, actually some 2 hours, a man entered the small hut of, I don't want to remember the girl.
With a full crunch of pride, the man entered, seemed as if I know him. Yeah, Nikhil Kapoor, my frenemy's big brother, Ruhaan Kapoor, a famous artist.
But, why is he here? I need to go, such a flirt he is.
There he was, painting something. And she was there, looking at me, her eyes held pain, immense pain. I gasped at the darkness that her eyes held.
I turned to the other side, she was coming to my mind.
"If, sometimes, I leave you, make sure to have someone else in your life. Don't cry over me." Tears rolled down my eyes. My Nits, she always cheered me up, and what am I doing? I am betraying both Pri and Nits.
My head started to pain more, my body was aching, and my face started to become pale.
I grabbed a waste container from the backside of the lawn, of the hut. Blood started oozing from my nose, and I started vomiting.
I had no other choice left. I covered my mouth with the handkerchief, booked a cab fast, and rushed towards the hospital.
As soon as I reached there, I asked for an immediate appointment, and to my unluck, there was o doctor, available. No other clinic was nearby also.
"Sir, there's just one doctor, who's going home, after completing his night duty. He is actually an oncologist. I don't think, he can help you much. Shall I give you an immediate aid?" the nurse asked. I nodded.
"Don't worry, sister. It's a general thing, I will handle. Young lad, come with me, much of the blood has oozed out." an elderly man said.
I saw the nameplate, Dr. Raghav Randhawa, an oncologist. He seemed to be a generous person.
"Man, don't stand in sunlight, during summers so much. And, make sure to have regular meals, I need to give you a dose of glucose." he smiled. I nodded.
With a heap of files, Dr. Randhawa stood, writing my prescription. I stood there, he handed me the piece of paper, and held a file.
I turned to go, when the name suddenly, came to my notice, Niyati Mehra.
Does that mean, her?
