That makes its nest on our front porch.

Making sure its chicks are safe and filled with love

As they rest upon the hard wood of birch.

We could go to the beach and walk along the shore.

Watching the sun slowly fall down.

Until there is nothing left but glistening stars.

And we are the only people there to be found.

We could sit atop this grassy hill.

And watch the clouds pass over us.

The breeze blowing colorful leaves around with a slight chill

As we hold each other until the approaching dusk.

We could watch the bustling streets.

Of people walking at a brisk pace to and fro.

A warm blush running over their cheeks

As a result of the icy freeze and snow.

My angel, we can witness the best parts of the year.

And we can do it together.
