Your POV 

It's been a few weeks since the kishin was released and Medusa and I made that deal. There hasn't been a sign of anything to enhance the madness. We had received word of the mission of Baba Yaga Castle. Only the best meisters and weapons of the EAT class were allowed to help. So that meant Tsubaki and Blackstar. Maka and Soul. Kid and the Thompson sisters, Ox and Harvar, Kim and Jacqueline, and apparently me. 

"Why am I going to fight in the battle of Baba Yaga Castle if I don't have a meister?" I asked

Stein closed his newspaper and turned to me. "We've been over this, (y/n). You may not have a meister but you don't need one. You can inflict as much damage as I can without a weapon." he said. 

I looked at him for a moment and nodded. "I don't see how. We haven't been able to get me to turn into a weapon without having high emotions." 

He sighed and stood up before picking me up and putting me on the counter. "We did unlock your weapon form, you just need to relax. There's nothing you need to worry about. The other students can handle themselves." 

I nodded reluctantly and he hugged me gently. He moved away and I hopped off the counter as the door opened and Marie came in. "Stein, can I speak with you? Alone?" she asked. 

I glanced at him as he nodded and they stepped outside. I moved over to the door and listened gently. They seemed to be arguing.

"Why didn't you tell me you two were together?" 

"We are not together, we live together sure, but our relationship is none other than student and professor." 

"I saw you guys yesterday after you left the DWMA, and when you were in the library, and when you were in the cell. I heard everything!" 

"Marie, I'm not having relations with my student, drop it and go home." 

I heard her heels click on the cement as she walked away. Stein came back in the door and I stood away from the door a bit. "You were listening weren't you?" he asked. 

I looked at the floor and nodded slowly. "Do you mean that? We aren't together?" I asked not looking at him. 

"We kissed, that's more than enough to get me fired," he said. 

"So what? From the way it happened, it felt like you felt something towards me. I'm sorry that I got my hopes up." 

He looked at me for a moment before I got my shoes on. "(y/n) wait, I-" 

I cut him off, "No, don't '(y/n), wait' me! I'm going to the DWMA, I need to figure out more about the Genie hunter move." I said before leaving the lab. I walked down the path slowly as I wasn't in a rush to get to the DWMA. 

Is that it then? We'll have a few kisses and then that's it? Guess that I was the only one to feel anything and he didn't. Maybe it was the madness talking when he did it? 

I got to the DWMA and went up the steps with my headphones in and music blaring. I sighed gently as I walked to the library. I started my research as I read more about the Genie Hunter skill. I closed the books and made my way to the Death Room. I walked up to Lord Death as I turned my music off. 

"Lord Death sir?" I asked

 He turned gently as Spirit looked up to me from being on the floor. "Why hello, how are ya, good to see ya." he said. 

I nodded. "What can you tell me about the Genie Hunter skill?" I asked He tilted his head as Spirit stood up. 

"Maka has that skill, she inherited it from her mother." Spirit said. 

I nodded. "It has the ability to repel evil while leaving good intact doesn't it?" I asked. 

They nodded. "She's going to have to try using it with the Kishin, I believe that Maka is the only one that's going to be able to handle defeating Asura." 

they looked at each other for a moment. "Do you have any reason to suspect that you are unable to defeat him?" Lord death asked. 

"She is at the top of her class. She can use and control the Genie Hunter skill and has a weapon. I don't even have a meister." I said. 

A big square hand came out from his side as he pointed at me. "You mustn't disgrace yourself like that, (y/n). You are more capable of defeating the Kishin than you realize. You may not have a meister but that doesn't mean you aren't good enough to defeat him. Today we're going to be setting off to Baba Yaga Castle. I would like to see you there." he said. I nodded and left the Death Room as I went back to the library.

~At Baba Yaga Castle~ 

We were sitting behind some giant rocks. Blackstar was being really loud and I glanced over to Tsubaki. "Blackstar if you don't be quiet they're going to hear you." she said and he stopped. I smiled gently. Soul looked over to me for a moment and smiled. "What brings you out here?" he asked. 

"The professor and Lord Death seem to believe that I have the ability to help defeat the kishin even though I'm meisterless. I just hope they're right." I said. 

Maka looked at me for a moment. "The professor and Lord Death are hardly ever wrong. I'm sure you'll do just fine, but you can't always doubt yourself. It makes your soul less confident." she said with a small smile. I nodded and we stood as we heard the battle start. Soul looked at me for a moment. "What weapon are you anyway?" he asked. 

"Double-bladed scythe." I said and he gave me a fistbump. "Pretty cool."  he said. The weapons changed and went to their meisters as I changed my arms and brought blades out of my back. They smirked as we started making our way to the Castle. We stumbled upon some minions and we defeated those as quickly as we could. 

Blackstar ran off to go find the castle first and I stuck with Maka and Soul.  Soon enough we felt the ground rumble and we got to higher ground. We looked around for a moment until we noticed the DWMA.... walking? 

I looked at Maka. "Do you see that too?" I asked. She nodded. "It looks like the DWMA but how's it walking?" 

"Wasn't Kid supposed to go get that magic tool?" I asked. She nodded again. "I bet it has something to do with that." I said. We watched as the DWMA ate the Kishin. I rose a brow and smirked. "Shouldn't we get going?" I asked. She nodded and we jumped down. We made our way to the DWMA as it was stationary. We managed to get there in time to see the Kishin left the DWMA. 

Maka and I got into the DWMA to see that Spirit and Lord Death were hurt pretty bad. I walked over to Azusa. "I need you to link with me." I said. She nodded and I began to glow for a moment before she nodded at me. I looked at Maka as we waited to see the Kishin. He came out of Baba Yaga Castle but this time he was much bigger. I groaned slightly. "Awe man." 

We saw Kid and Blackstar go into the dome that the Kishin made not long after and we followed. But before we jumped in I saw a glimpse of a stitched labcoat.
