Risty's pov

    I woke up to find myself in pitch darkness. Where was I? What am I doing here? I looked up to see the bright round moon clear in the starless sky. Wow, so pretty. Wait, what am I thinking, I'm a bad person. Memories of what happened in the morning came back and startled me to reality. I stood up carefully and slided the bag on my shoulders. Maybe I should take off my hood, No one will see me here, but no, somebody could be. Just as I was about to leave I heard footsteps. Oh not again, can it be those guards again? I quickly jumped on a tree and hid, the footsteps getting closer, after a while I saw 5 people standing just underneath the tree I was hiding, oh what luck I thought as I groaned inside my head.

Alice's pov

        ''I swear that I heard something Chris'' I moaned. ''You've said that like 3 times already and we still haven't found anything'' he replied grumpily. ''I heard something too'' Vin said trying to get on my side. ''See? I told you'' I said as I shot an angry look at Chris. He shrugged. Just as he was about to protest there was a rustle of leaves. I looked at Chris, Vin, Ross and Poppy giving them the-look.

They all understood as they slowly drew out their swords, ready for attack. I drew out my own sword, ready.
As I was looking around I heard Vin gasp in terror. ''Vin? What's the matter?'' I said giving him a shake on the shoulders. He pointed upwards with shaky hands and I saw two fiery red eyes glowing. Poppy screamed, of course. I flinched a bit but I stared back. It was a person, I was sure but the person was wearing black all over and had a hood so I couldn't tell. Poppy screamed again and ran, ''Hey Poppy! Wait up!'' Ross yelled as he ran after her. Oh great. How do they always have to ruin a discovery. I sighed as I ran after them with Chris and Vin behind me.

Risty's pov

     Thank goodness they left. I was thinking I would have to stay up here forever. I slowly got down and ran to where there was a bit of darkness. I stayed away from the moonlight. I have been spending my life in the woods, surviving by my own. There seem to be rumors about me from the people who came into the forest. Some which were nonsense. Some believed that I was a ghost and some thought I was a beast. So they took caution and since then no one comes anymore, even if they did I end up scaring them to death. So I'm a murderer now. I have heavy sins in my soul and I always think coldly, but little did I know that it was going to change.

Day after day I end up killing more people. You may think I enjoy this, but deep down in me I felt bad and worried. I was hunted by the spirits of the people I have killed I have become half mad. I talk to myself, shout at no one in paticular and I knew I was becoming a danger to other people. There was a village near the woods that I have never heard of before but I take care not to go too near it. I hide at daytime, sometimes I sleep and at night, night, I love that word. Darkness is my soul, shadows are my friends and killing is my power.
