-Ayumi's P.O.V-

"Alright, so we just go to Sasuke's and ask to talk to him?" Sayomi asks.

I sigh and reply "I guess. That's all we can do. BUT! No matter what, can we tell him what the truth behind the massacre. Got it?" I can't stress it enough.

Sayomi rolls her eyes and answers "Yeah yeah, I got it. Jeez."

"Well you have a big mouth and it could cause big problems." I state. She just sighs and nods. It's not like it'd be the first time her big mouth got us into trouble.

"Well, shall we do this now?" I look at her and ask. She nods and we go to the door and slip our shoes on.

Right as we were leaving Kiba runs up to us. "Hey Ayumi! Sayomi."

I smile and hug him as he gets to us. "Hey Kiba. What's up?"

"Nothin' I was just comin' to ask if you wanted to hang out." Kiba hugged back and replied.

I hold back a sigh. "I'm sorry Kiba, I can't. Sayomi and I gotta talk to Sasuke. We can hang later though if you still wanna?"

Kiba's face instantly fell. "Oh.. Okay, I'll see you later then." Kiba was about to start walking away before I grabbed his hand and kissed him.

"I promise we'll hang out later okay?" Kiba had kissed back and nodded, smiling a little. I smiled back a little as well and we headed our ways.

-Skip to Sasuke's-

Took forever but we finally found his house. Once we approached his house, I knocked on the door. We waited.

And waited.

And waited.

We knew he was in there. I knocked again, harder and hollered "Open up Uchiha. Sayomi and I need to talk to you."

The door opens to reveal an irritated Uchiha. "What do you need?"

"We need to come in and talk. You asked me something on the mission. Remember? We're here to answer your questions." I answered.

"Hn. Fine." came the curt reply. Sasuke walked away from the door so we could enter. He closed the door behind us and we sat in his living room.

I take a deep breath. "Alright, you asked why you felt the way you did towards me. It's because you could tell there was something about me."

I gulp and take another deep breath and continue "It's because I'm your cousin. Your family."

Sayomi was sitting behind me, looking down. Sasuke just stared at me. "You're lying! You just want to try and convince that revenge isn't the way!! Get out!"

I sigh and state "I'm not leaving Sasuke. I am not lying. Nor is that the specific reason as to why I came. Do I want you to drop the revenge? Hell yeah I do. It'll bring you nothing but problems and sorrow. Either way though, I can prove that I'm an Uchiha."

"Tch. Yeah right. Women of the Uchiha clan can't get the sharingan! That's the only possible way you could prove it!" Sasuke yelled once again.

I sigh again and say "That's not true. It just hasn't happened in so long. But I'll show you." I take a deep breath and activate my sharingan. I look Sasuke in the eyes which causes his to activate and look at me wide eyed.

"H-How?!" He yelled. I pull Sasuke to me and hug him. He struggles at first but finally relaxes and hesitantly hugs back.

"I'm sorry Sasuke. Maybe if my parents hadn't moved to Hoshigakure, none of this would've happened." I knew that wasn't true. If we had stayed, my parents, myself and maybe even Sayomi and her parents would've died.

I think I wouldv'e been okay, dying by Itachi's hands. Then again, I wouldn't have known what I do now. Kami, why do things have to be so complicated! I want to tell Sasuke the truth but.. I can't trust how he'll take it.

"Sasuke... I'm so sorry..." I whispered, hugging him tighter. My vision started blurring.

'I can't cry...' I think as my eyes blur worse. My tears spilled over as I bit my lip so my sobs wouldn't be heard. Sasuke stiffened at first but hugged me closer, trying to comfort me.

"Sasuke.." I cried harder. I felt something wet on my shoulder. Sasuke started crying too...

"It hurts Ayumi... It hurts." Sasuke whispered. I couldn't believe Sasuke was acting this way in front of Sayomi and I.

I hugged Sasuke tighter again. "I know. Please trust me when I say I know It hurts." I say.

I turn my head towards Sayomi to see her wiping her eyes. She looks back and nods. Sayomi stands up and leaves, heading home.

I guess she felt she wasn't needed right now. For a while, Sasuke and I just hugged each other and cried together. Finally about 2 hours later, we both fully stopped.

"Please Sasuke... Please reconsider, for me. I can promise you that the life of revenge is a horrible thing. I've seen what it's done to people. It would happen to you too." I wait for his response, hoping he'll understand.

"Ayumi... For the last 5-6 years, becoming strong and getting revenge has been all that I have thought about. How can I just drop it? How can I just forget what happened??" Sasuke questioned.

I looked down. "You can't ever truly forget. But please Sasuke. You need to understand that... Everything happens for a reason."

I feel Sasuke start to glare. "How can you say something like that?!"

I look at him. "Sasuke, my parents died the same way as yours. Actually we were about the same age. And you know what? It was my brother. My older brother who killed my parents. I wanted revenge just like you.

Then Sayomi said one day 'Do you really think Ryuichi would do something like that for no reason but to hurt you, to test his limits or whatever?' All I could think about for days what she said. Eventually I decided I would seek out the truth. So far I haven't found my truth. I have found another. Sasuke... Is anything I'm saying affecting you, at all?"

Sasuke's gaze is cast to the floor. He nodded and answered "I... I think so. I need to think. I'll see you later Ayumi." I nodded and kissed his cheek.

"Don't ever forget Sasuke. I am your family. You can come to me about anything and everything without being judged. See ya later." I leave after I remind him of me always being there for him. He nods and gives me the tiniest of smiles.

As I start walking home, I thought about the conversation Sasuke and I just had. He was so..,. out of character. It was almost nice though. He showed me a side of him that hasn't been seen in years. I hope he feels better about things. I know I did when I talked to Sayomi. I can just hope Sasuke feels the same.

"*sighs* Please be okay Sasuke. Choose the right path..." I mumble to myself as I walk up to the house. I open the door and sit in the living room without taking my shoes off or anything.

"Sayomi..." I start, looking over at her on the couch. She looked back.

"I can only hope that talk helped. It really seemed like it did but, I can't be sure. But, I almost told him. After telling to it's important not to let him know the truth yet, I nearly told him." I inform her. She laughs a little.

"It's alright. We just have to see how things will work out." I nod and stand up, she looks at me confused.

"I told Kiba I'd see him later so I'm gonna go find him." Sayomi nods and I head out the door.

I walk around the village for awhile, trying to sense Kiba. "Ah! Kiba!" I yell as I spot him. I start walking faster towards him. That is until more villagers moved out of the way and I could see why he hadn't turned to me. He was talking to some girl. Laughing together... I could be over reacting though... I keep my pace up.

"Hey Kiba!" I exclaim once I got to him.

Kiba looked at me surprised and said "Uh, hey Ayumi. How's it going?"

I raise an eyebrow. That's not how he'd normally react. "Um, pretty good. I was gonna say we can hang out if you want but, I see your busy." I used my fake happy personality to help increase my chance of fooling him, so he wouldn't think I'm controlling or super jealous or anything.

"No, we can if you want. This is Hotaru Chi. I was showing her around because my team had a small mission while you and Sayomi were talking to Sasuke. So you can come while I finish showing her around and then we can do something alright?" Kiba explains.

I nod and smile "Alright. I'm Ayumi Yasha by the way." I wanted to properly introduce myself to Hotaru.

She smiled and replied "Nice to meet you Ayumi. Your friend Kiba is very kind."

I laugh a little and respond "Well he's a certain type of friend. He's my boyfriend. I'm glad he's treated you kindly though."

Hotaru's face was replaced with anger for a split second before she continued smiling and apologized in case I thought anything was going on between them.

-Skip to after they drop Hotaru off with her team at their hotel-

"*sighs* Shall we go to the park?" I ask, watching the ground as we walked.

"Sure." Kiba answered.

Once we got to a park, we sat under a tree while Akamaru ran around, getting his energy out. I just stared at the sunset. It was already 8pm. We'd spent nearly 4 hours showing her around. All the while, I could tell she wanted it to be just her and Kiba. At times I wondered if Kiba wanted the same.

"So... What was your mission exactly?" I ask

"Just a simple meet up with Hotaru's team then we all showed them around. That's all cause the Hokage is sending another team to fetch them to bring them to him. Kurenai showed their sensei around and she assigned us which of the team member we were supposed to show around." Kiba explained.

I nodded and said "Ah, I see. Well I'm glad your mission was a success." Kiba nodded as well.

"So why did you need to talk to Sasuke?" Kiba asked

I sigh and answer "To tell him some of the truth. Sasuke and I are cousins. I think I may actually be related to Kurenai sensei as well. Barely but still. Anyways though, I don't know if you could see the look in Sasuke's eyes when he would be doing anything but, all I could see was hate, revenge, fear and sadness.

Loneliness. I know what it's like to feel like that. I can't have practically all that's left of my family go down the wrong path like I almost did."

Kiba stares at the ground. "Wow.." He mumbles.

I stare at him. "What exactly did you think I needed to talk to him about?" I swear. If he thinks I was doing something like cheating on him, I'm gonna punch him.

Kiba blushes and looks away, replying quietly "Nothing.."

"Tell me Kiba."

"No."

I move so I'm on his lap, looking at him. "Kiiiibaaaa. Telllll meee."

Kiba blushes darker and keeps his head turned away.

I pout a little until I get an idea. "Kiiiibaaaa. You have one more chance."

Kiba does move nor say anything.

I smirk and lean towards his neck and lightly bite him. I can tell it surprised him because his breath hitched. I keep smirking and bite him one more time before kissing where I bit.

"I'll do it again Kiba. Now tell me." I lean back and wait for an answer, still smirking.

"Fine! I maybe thought you were going to Sasuke's because... You liked him." Kiba started loudly but got super quiet at the end.

"So you were jealous?" I ask bluntly.

Kiba got an irk mark and replied "I saw the look in your eyes when you saw me with Hotaru, you thought the same thing I did when you went to Sasuke's!"

"Hmph. Not true." I state, looking away and trying to hold my blush back. This time Kiba smirks.

"Suuuureee." Kiba rolls his eyes and pulls me closer.

"Ayuuumiii. I'll do what you did." I stiffen for a second but, I refuse to admit I was jealous.

Kiba leans a little and lightly bites my neck. My eyes went wide and my lips parted a little.

"'Kibaa.. Stoooopp." I whine, hoping he won't bite me again.

"You gonna admit you were jealous?" Kiba asks

"Never!" I exclaim. Although in hind sight, I shouldv'e just admitted it. Kiba leans closer again and lightly bites my neck again. A moan escapes my lips, my eyes closed.

Kiba smirks again and kisses where he bit, just like I did.

"Alright fine! I admit it! I was jealous!" I exclaim, blushing very dark. I can't believe he made me do that. Urgh!

"Knew it." Kiba keeps smirking and kisses my cheek.

"Hmph." I lean into him, relaxing.

"It's pretty late Ayumi... Don't you think Sayomi will be worried? Not to mention what my mom might do." Kiba suggests.

I nod and respond "Yeah I guess... Why can't you just stay the night?" I start pouting.

"Because my mom would flip." Kiba chuckles. I smile a little.

"True. Bet Sayomi would too."

Kiba nods and then motions for me to stant up. Once I get up, I pull him up too. We lace our fingers together and Kiba starts walking me home.

That's it for this chapter. Thankfully I don't have school today so hopefully I can get one more chapter in for today. :p Hope you enjoyed it btw! Also, if u thought Kiba and Ayumi's moment was a bit much, don't worry. nothing will happen. at least not til the next book ;D
