Alone
I backed up slowly, not taking my eyes off the weeping angel in front of me. I knew if I could get back to the TARDIS, I could escape. Otherwise, I was good as dead. I fingered the key around my neck, got into my hand, while feeling around with my other hand. I felt a door behind me. The TARDIS. I blindly felt for the key hole, and jammed the key into it once I did. I pushed open the door, pulled out the key, and slammed it shut. I sprinted up to the console and flew away.
Doctor's POV
The minute I arrived, I saw the whatever-it-was disappear. It looked like a metal box, like a safe, but it was gone before I could make out what it was.
I hopped back onto the TARDIS. I pulled levers and pushed buttons on the console while looking at the screen. We were following it, through time, through space. It appeared to be a giant... safe?
Whatever it was, it was being flown from the inside.
In the year 1776, we landed in Philadelphia. We meaning the safe, whoever was flying it, the TARDIS, and I.
A girl stepped out. She was wearing combat boots, a brown leather jacket, skinny jeans, and a t-shirt saying, I'm with stupid. She saw me and automatically turned back into her safe. I did the same with the TARDIS.
Again, through time and space. I wonder how she was doing it, but I refused to believe that it was another TARDIS. After all, I had the last one, didn't I?
2999. December 31st. I turned and saw the girl sprinting away.
Clearly, she was running from me.
I noticed that her safe was unprotected. Curiosity took over me, and instead of chasing her, I tried sonic-ing the door opened
What I was not expecting was to get electrocuted.
I fell backwards, feeling dazed. Whatever the safe was protecting, it did a good job of it.
But I didn't think much after that when a combat boot came smashing down on my face.
Emma's POV
I had to knock him out. The man was following me, and then tried to break into the TARDIS. I unlocked the TARDIS, and proceded to drag the man onto it. The thought occurred to me that passerby would think of it as a crime scene. That's what I would've thought. Then again, I was a Time Lady. I wasn't human. What did I know?
I dragged him through the TARDIS to an empty room. I managed to set him on the bed, nearly breaking my back. I wiped my forehead. My two hearts thumped from the exercise. I left to grab the first aid kit. I was a Time Lady, but that didn't mean I had two hearts of steel.
Doctor's POV
I woke in a bright room. I was lying on a comfy bed. I looked around. Something seemed...off. I was wondering what it was when it dawned on me. The room seemed to be humming. No, not the room. The building!
I tried to sit up, but my head swam and I fell back. Whoever knocked me out, they did a good job. But my thoughts were interupted when the girl ran in. She was missing her leather jacket, but I could tell it was the same person. Her black hair was cut into a pixie cut. She knelt down next to me. "Are you alright?" she asked.
I nodded. That pleased her. "I'm sorry," said the girl. "I had to knock you out. You were just breaking into the TARDIS and I could-"
"What did you say about 'breaking into the TARDIS'? I have the last TARDIS! Why would I break into my TARDIS?" I interupted.
She looked confused. "No you don't. How could you have the last TARDIS when I have it? Anyways, whats a human doing with a TARDIS?"
"Human! Excuse me, I am a Time Lord. And how could you have the last TARDIS when I do?" I was confused.
"Because, well, I just do-" the girl paused. "Wait, did you just call yourself a Time Lord?!" She stood up and paced the room. "He can't be, he can't be... I'm the last... he's lying, he's got to be..." she spun around, grabbed the first aid kit she had brought with her, pulled out a stethoscope, and placed it on the left side of my chest. She listened, then lifted the stethoscope and placed it on the right side of my chest. Her face paled. "You are a Time Lord," she whispered.
"Yeah, so?" I said, but she was back to pacing and saying, "That's not possible, they were all killed, all but..." she faced me. "...me," she finished.
What?!
Emma's POV
He couldn't have been a Time Lord, no way... nor could he have the last TARDIS when I did. It was impossible, but yet...
"What's your name?" I asked abruptly.
"The Doctor," he said.
"Interesting name. You're a Time Lord?" I asked, keeping the conversation light. I wanted as much information as possible.
"Didn't you just find that out?"
Oh, sour. Why did you say that you had the last TARDIS?"
"Because I do!" he explained. He had sat up and was now rubbing his forehead- right where I slammed my boot into his face. "Why did you slam your boot onto my face?" the Doctor asked.
"But yet, I do. I own the last TARDIS. Doctor, how do you know you have the last TARDIS?"
"Because Galifrey was destroyed! Everything on it was killed or destroyed!" said the Doctor. Then it dawned on him. "You weren't on Galifrey, were you?" he asked. I shook my head.
"I had ran away, stealing a TARDIS as I went. I knew I would die if I stayed. We were in the middle of the Time War; Galifrey was already falling apart. So I fled, crash-landed onto Earth, killed the chameleon circuit unit in the process, and got away with my life. But just barely.
"You see, Doctor, I was injured. Badly. I was bleeding, and needed help. I had no idea where I was, or how I was going to escape. I regenerated. I flew the TARDIS across the universe, trying to see if I could get back home to Galifrey. That's about when I discovered it had gotten destroyed. I cried. I had lost loved ones, forever, never being able to go back in time and see them, talk to them. Gone.
"But how did you escape, Doctor? Or were you never on Galifrey?"
