Serena's POV.

'Where am I?' I wondered looking around then my gaze fell on Ash.  My face turned red "is-is Ash holding my hand?" I whispered. 

Ash slowly opened his eyes and immediately looked at me, "Serena!" he cried hugging me "I was so worried, I'm so glad your okay." he finished sweetly resting a hand on my cheek which made my blush increase.  If I didn't know him I probably would've thought he was blushing, but Ash would never blush.

"Ash, wh-what happened? And where am I?" I asked.  He told me what happened and I was soon released from the Pokémon center.

Ash's POV.

"Serena, would you like to travel through Alola with me?"  I asked nervously scratching under my nose with a Small blush.

Serena started to blush "I-I would love to" she said smiling

'Man, she's cute when she's smiling...  wait, did I say cute!?...' I wondered.  "Awesome," I said grinning. I grabbed her hand and started running up the path that would lead to my next Island trial.

Serena and I had walked for about 30 minutes. We were on a path right above the ocean when the ground started  shaking and another 'Ultra Beast' as Gary had called them appeared.  It launched an attack which we barely dogged.  It quickly fired another attack that caused us to fall off the cliff.  I grabbed the top of the cliff and barely got a hold of Serena's hand.

"Pikachu, thunderbolt!" I cried.  Then I looked down at Serena who seemed terrified.  "Are you alright Serena?"

She looked up at me with tears in her eyes "I-I think so..." she said with her voice trembling.

"Kommo-o, Draco Meteor!" A dark haired woman called and right after the attack hit the U.B. it went back into its worm hole.

"Pika pi, Pikachu?" Translation: 'Ash, Serena, you guys okay?'

The lady rushed over to Serena and I. She had a light turquoise T-shirt and a blue jean skirt and a lab coat.  "Are you two alright?" She asked helping Serena and I back up the cliff.

"Yeah" we said in unison but my heart was still pounding and Serena still sounded a little frightened. 

Pikachu was glad to see us in one piece.  He swiftly jumped on my shoulder and nuzzled my cheek.

"Alola, I'm Professor Gloria Pines.  Would you two come to the lab, so we can ask you some questions?" The lady asked.

"Okay... by the way I'm Serena."  She said smiling

"And I'm Ash." I said

we were in the middle or telling the professor about the U.B. when Gary entered.

"Why, Ashy-boy I sure didn't expect to see you here." Gary said.

"What?" I said turning around.

"Who's that?" Serena asked looking at Gary.

Gary looked at the two "I'm Gary Oak, and you must be Serena, or as Ash called you when he was six 'The Straw Hat Girl'."

"Oh, Ash told me about you."  Serena said

"Ash told me about you to.  He wouldn't shut up about you 'till he was nine!" Gary chuckled.  Then he grabbed me and said he wanted to ask me something outside and by the look on his face he was going to ask me about Serena.

"So what did you want to ask me?"I questioned

"Well, have you thought about what I said?" He asked smirking.

I sighed in defeat "Yeah I thought about it..."

"And what was the conclusion?" Gary quizzed.

"You-you were right... I am in love with her..." I stammered.

"Pikachu!" Translation: 'Yes!'

"So have you told her how you feel!?" Gary cried practically fan-boying.

"Not yet." I said sweat dropping.

"Why?!"

"Well first I don't know how to, and second what if Serena doesn't feel the same?" I partially said to myself.

"I could tell she loved you in the short time I watched you two." Gary said face-palming. "And if she doesn't feel that way towards you at least you'll know, and if I'm right about Serena loving you, you'll have nothing to worry about."

"But how do tell her?" I asked again not concerned he had been spying on me.

"Easy," Gary said. "just tell her you love her, or I can tell her for you." he finished

"Your not gonna shut up until I tell her will you" I groaned 'okay, now he's just acting like Miette...'

"Nope!"

Later that night at the Pokémon Center:

'Why can't I get to sleep?' I wondered crawling out of bed.

"Pika pi?" Translation: 'Ash?'

"Oh I'm just going for a walk buddy, Wanna come?" I asked as he jumped on my shoulder. "I'll take that as a yes."
We walked out the Pokémon Centre doors and I began to talk to my partner. "Pikachu, remember what Gary was talking about earlier?"

"Pika, Pikachu pi." Translation: 'yeah, so when are you telling her?'

"Seriously you to?" I teased "Its okay, you're right I need to tell Serena... but I can't help worry, what if she doesn't feel the same?..."

A few minutes later, "Ash?" Serena said walking out the door. "What are you doing out here?" She finished putting a hand on my shoulder

"Nothing, just thinking..." I responded.

"What about?" She asked setting by me

"Well...  I have been meaning to tell you something..." I said

"What," Serena said.

I bit my lower lip and stammered "Ser-Serena, I-I..." I felt my face growing red and my heart speeding up. I took a deep breath and took holed of her hand which made her blush.  "Serena, I love you." I finally said holding my breath almost dreading what she would say.

"C-can you repeat that?" She said in a hushed voice

"I love you."

"I'm so glad! I've loved you for the longest time Ash!" She cried throwing her arms around my neck. "I was so worried you didn't feel the same."

After Serena stopped hugging me I slowly leaned my head in and kissed her lips for about ten seconds and after I broke the kiss we smiled and whispered, "I love you."
