071 - The Breaking Point.

(071 - The Breaking Point)

Omo💀.

Only three people or so guessed correctly what Tekena was involved in that made Ola call Jidenna. Someone said they caught him smoking weed😂. It would have been so much better if that was the case, trust me. So much better🥲.

Ola said Tekena was causing a rampage at the basketball court, who else plays basketball?

Hold that thought, and pray for Tekena. In fact, pray for everybody, because the emotions are high in this chapter.

Let's dive in. Don't drown, Biko.

𝐉𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐍𝐀
(Jidenna Leo Okojie)

In no time, we got to the sports arena.

I could already hear a particular voice coming from the direction of the basketball court. The voice sounded so familiar, but I could quite place it. Though, I could tell that the person was very angry.

"Isn't that Dawn's voice?" Adela asked Ola, recognizing the voice unlike me.

"Dawn?" My eyes widened at that. Dawn and Tekena in the same place?

"Yes," Ola confirmed, and an alarm immediately went off in my head. "I came here to see Big Guy after the meeting and it was her voice that caught my attention. I didn't go in to find out what was going on but when I saw it was between Dawn and Tekena, I knew it was serious. That's why I called you." He explained.

God abeg.

Whatever this was already looks very bad to me. I just hope that boy hasn't done anything stupid. But heaven knows, I won't even put it past him. He and his ex-girlfriend were in the same place. Dawn would never be in the same space with Tekena Tamuno after everything he put her through, not intentionally anyway. She avoided him like he was one of the ten Egyptian plagues.

He must have done something very stupid to get her in the same space with him, and I started to wonder what.

We got closer and the voice got clearer. It was Dawn alright. She was yelling, and I started saying a prayer in my mind. From the sound of things, something bad has happened.

Tekena, what have you done?

"You guys should go in," Adela told Ola and me when we got to the entrance of the court. "I'll stay outside and be on the lookout for teachers coming," she added.

"Thank you," I whispered to her. When I made to walk in, she held my hand to stop me. Ola went ahead, leaving me and Adela outside.

"What is it?" I asked. She exhaled, glancing over her shoulder inside the court before looking back at me.

"Be careful," she said to me, her voice laced with concern and worry. "I don't need anyone to tell me that Tekena is unhinged at the moment. I can feel it, and from your expression, I can tell you know it too," she stated shrewdly and I nodded.

Calling Tekena unhinged was the understatement of the century. There was something abundantly wrong with him that I haven't quite figured out yet. And the fact that he was probably high as a kite at this moment and in the same space with Dawn, only God knows what he can do.

Heck, only God knows what he has done.

"I'll be okay," I assured Adela. "I promise," I added for extra insurance because I didn't want her to worry. She sighed but nodded and I gave her hand a gentle squeeze before walking into the court.

There weren't a lot of people inside but I sighted Tekena, Dawn, and Hilary with Ola. A bunch of junior boys I assumed were in SS1 were sprawled all over the court, keeping a safe distance away.

Dawn was shouting, yelling at a completely unbothered Tekena who just stood a distance from her, a joint between his index and middle finger, taking a drag and puffing out smoke into the air, permeating the air with that horrid smell. Hilary was also in the court, trying to calm her down while Ola was asking the juniors what happened.

One was on his knees and I knew immediately that Tekena had punished the guy.

Was that what this was about? Punishing a junior?

My footsteps alerted them to my presence, and I saw relief marred across Dawn's face as soon as she sighted me.

"What's going on here?" I asked.

"Thank God you are here," she threw her hands up, her face contorted in frustration. "Can you please, tell that bastard–" she pointed at Tekena, "–to release my brother!"

My forehead creased in confusion.

"Your brother?" I repeated.

Ola gestured to a side and I followed his direction right to the kneeling boy I noticed earlier. I didn't see his face when I came in, but now I did. And that was when it hit me that the kneeling boy was Dean Dayo, Dawn's younger brother.

Jesus!

My eyes widened when I noticed his battered face. He had a bleeding laceration running from his brows to his temple. He was spotting a black eye and had a bruise on the lips. I needed no one to tell me that Tekena had done that to him. Tekena was brutal while exacting punishments, but this was too much.

Because of wetin?

"The fuck!" I muttered, staring at the young teary-eyed boy in horror.

"Exactly!" Dawn fired back. "This piece of shit–" she pointed at Tekena again. "–did that to my brother for no good reason."

Tekena fucking chuckled at that, and I got irritated on Dawn's behalf.

Is this supposed to be a bloody joke? I turned to face him.

"Tekena, what the–"

"Ehn ehn!" He finally broke character, his face contorting in a deep grimace as he cut me off rudely.

"Don't come in here and start acting like the boss," he lashed at me. "E no jig. I can tell you are not going to use your sense to speak to me since you have suddenly grown wings, so Geddifok!"

Wow.

Hilary couldn't hide the shock on her face, looking at me incredulously like should couldn't believe Tekena was speaking to me like that. I looked away from Hilary, disregarded Tekena's words, and walked up to Dean.

"What happened, Dean?" I asked the boy instead.

"If you talk there!" Tekena thundered, threatening the poor boy.

"What are you going to do?!" Dawn fired back at him, challenging him. "What the hell are you going to do if he speaks?–"

"Dawn, calm down," Hilary tried to pacify her.

"Don't tell me to calm down!" She snapped back at Hilary. "See," she was facing Tekena again. "Touch my brother one more and I swear, you are dead! Wọn tiẹ̀ bi babánlá bàbá ẹ da!"

You know Dawn is pissed when she switches to Yoruba language. I didn't understand what she was saying, but I knew she was daring Tekena.

"Dawn, please chill," Ola placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to calm her down. I looked at Tekena and shook my head, then turned back to Dean.

"Don't be scared. No one will do anything to you while I'm here, okay?" I promised. Tekena laughed again, obviously mocking me. I ignored him again.

"Tell me exactly what happened. Don't leave anything out," I told him. Dean glanced past me at Tekena who was probably warning him not to say anything. I shifted my position till I was blocking his gaze from Tekena.

"Tell me," I urged him. The younger boy sniffled, using the back of his hand to clean his tears and running nose.

"The boys and I came here to play ball since there was no class," he started and I listened. "Senior Sochima permitted us to use the court. He even told us that we shouldn't leave till he got back, so we just played ball. Only for him–" he pointed at Tekena, "–to come in with Senior Kasala and some guys. He told us to get out of the court–"

I held my hand up to pause him, throwing a look over my shoulder to the rest of the junior boys.

"Is that true?" I asked them, trying to confirm the story.

"Yes!" They all chorused without hesitation. I looked back at Dean and gestured for him to go on. The boy sniffled again and continued.

"So, he told us to get out and I told him that Senior Sochima asked us not to leave till he gets back. Senior Tekena got pissed and started hitting me, using his belt to lash me." He finished.

"That's it?" I asked Dean.

"That's it o," he raised his hand in surrender. "I wasn't even the only one that spoke. I wasn't even rude to him, but it's only me that he hit," he lamented.

I sighed, turning around to look at Tekena who had the most disinterested look in his eyes.

To everyone else, it might seem like that was the only reason Tekena battered Dean, a stupid reason if I might add. But deep down, I knew it wasn't the only reason. Tekena himself knew it wasn't the only reason. Even Dawn knew, and that was why she was beyond pissed.

There were two reasons involved, the first one being that Tekena was pissed because a junior disregarded his order for another senior. Not just any other senior, but his archenemies, Sochima Johnson.

The second reason is that Dean was an easy target for Tekena to take out his frustration on. Frustration that was from Dawn not taking him back. Dean was her younger brother, so he was the one taking the brunt of it.

Typical asshole move.

Now she even has a thousand more reasons not to take him back.

"Get up," I instructed Dean.

"Don't you dare!" Tekena growled, marching toward us furiously.

"Go to your sister, right now!" I ordered Dean. He quickly stood up and ran to his sister before Tekena could reach us.

I turned around to look at Tekena but didn't know he was already so close to me. The next thing I felt was a violent push to my chest, almost tipping me over. I staggered several feet back before I could regain my footing.

"Who the hell do you think you are releasing a junior I punished!" He was all up in my face, yelling at me. But I have also had enough.

"And who the hell do you think you are laying your hands on a junior student!" I snapped back, not backing off.

"I'm the bloody disciplinary prefect! That's who I fucking am!"

"And up until all this, you didn't give a rat's ass about that post!" I fired back. He started his mirthless chuckles again, but I was undeterred.

"Being the disciplinary prefect doesn't give you the right to lay your hands on a junior and brutalize them. Just because I have allowed you to get away with it in the past doesn't mean it's okay!"

"So what's changing your mind now ehn?" He questioned, a smirk playing on his lips. "You suddenly want to act like a man, do the right thing, have a mind of your own, just so she can rate you again, abi?"

He pointed at Hilary, reminding me of her presence in the room. I fought the urge to face-palm at how obnoxious he sounded.

"It's because of her right?" He repeated.

"No, it's because of you and how irrational you can be!" I fired back, jabbing my finger into his chest. "I covered for you in the past and stopped you from getting into trouble. Not again, Tekena. I'm not putting myself in harm's way for you ever again. So go ahead, fight me!" I challenged, pushing at his chest.

I know I might get beat up but at least, it would diffuse the whole situation. If he needed someone to release his pent-up emotions on, let it be me; not Dean, not Dawn, or anybody here for that matter.

But he laughed again, a twisted sound that cut through the tension like a knife. It was a cruel mockery, as if he was relishing in the chaos he was inciting.

Then he patted me on the shoulder.

"Don't worry, your turn will soon come," he spoke like he was promising me. "Shebi fight dey hungry you. No wam, I'll give you a fight. But not today, my Gee. Someone else is on my radar today," he smirked.

My brows furrowed in confusion.

"What are you talking about?" I asked him, but his lips only stretched further into a malicious grin. He didn't get to answer my question because someone walked into the court that very moment.

Someone Tekena's smile told me he had been expecting.

"What's going on here?"

I recognized that voice immediately. It was a deep, calm voice with a powerful tone that commanded the entire room at that very instant. Only one person could sound that calm and that powerful at the same time.

Sochima Ansel Johnson.

He walked into the room like he owned the place– technically, he did own the place. He had his school uniform in, but as per unseal, his blazer was replaced with his varsity jacket, and that only seemed to add to his already existing aura of confidence.

With every step he took, there was a distinct air of authority. His shoulders were squealers and his gait was steady and measured. His presence literally screamed, "I'm here and I'm in charge".

For almost three years, I have wasted my time hating on this guy, but low key, all I wanted was to be just like him. He didn't even try hard– didn't try at all, but still managed to exude such a profound demeanor that no one measured up to. I'm not even sure he knew that he was doing that.

Sochima's eyes scanned the room, taking in everything with a keen, observant gaze. From the junior boys to Hilary and Ola. Then his gaze switched to me and Tekena standing toe-to-toe. Finally, his eyes fell on Dawn and Dean, and his forehead creased in a deep frown.

I knew at that moment that he already figured out what was going on.

"Dawn," he called to her, going to meet her. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice hushed but loud enough for everyone to hear because of the quietness of the room.

I looked at Tekena and saw how he watched the exchange with a deep grimace marred across his face and a malicious glint in his eyes.

Green with Envy. Red with Jealousy.

"I am," Dawn replied Sochima. "But he is not," she gestured to Dean, and Sochima looked at him. From the scenery he walked into, he knew exactly who the culprit was and started making his way toward him.

Sochima moved with deliberate intent to where Tekena stood, his expression remaining void, revealing absolutely nothing about what was going on in his head. When he got close to me, I got out of his way, holding my hands up in surrender.

"I had no hand in this,"

"I know,"

He didn't even spare me a glance when he responded, his gaze solely on Tekena. When Sochima came to a halt in front of him, the tension in the air was already evident, a charged atmosphere that cracked with anticipation.

Omo, is there heat? I pulled on the collar of my shirt.

"I'm going to give you the opportunity to tell me that you didn't do that to Dean," Sochima's voice was calm... calculating.

The grimace on Tekena's face morphed as his lips transcended from a grim line into a smirk.

"And what if I did that to him?" He questioned, his tone challenging. "What the fuck are you going to do about it?" his brow tugged up.

"You know what I said about touching my guys," Sochima was still very calm. But Tekena chuckled, that mirthless chuckle that was beginning to irritate my spirit, soul, and body. I'm sure everyone felt the exact same way.

Like what the hell is funny?

"Bold of you to assume I give a shit about your orders,"

"And bold of you to think I was bluffing when I said there would be consequences if you lay a finger on any of my guys,"

I don't know how Sochima managed to keep it cool. I was there when he gave that order to Tekena, when Sochima threatened– no, promised him that they'll have a real problem if he ever laid a finger on one of the juniors on the Team.

Now he battered one, not just any junior, Dean Dayo, his girlfriend– and Tekena's ex-girlfriend's brother. Sentiment was definitely going to be involved, valid sentiment at that.

Sochima will not let this slide.

"And I ask again," Tekena growled out, moving till he was all up in Sochima's face. "What the fuck are you going to do about it, uhn?" He snapped.

"Do you really want to find out?" Sochima challenged right back, not as much as flinching or stuttering over his words. There was an edge to his voice and I could tell that he was already getting pissed.

Sochima can get pissed? I asked myself.

"You don't fucking challenge me, motherfücker!" Tekena shoved Sochima's chest, sending the darker guy staggering back slightly.

Gasps rang out through the room.

"Tekena stop!" I chided, but the guy didn't even spare me a glance.

"Don't ever touch me again," Sochima warned when he regained his footing, his hard gaze remaining on Tekena. The latter smirked, and repeated the action, pushing Sochima yet again over the chest.

"Tekena naw!" It was Ola who spoke this time.

"I did it again. What are you doing to do about it?" Tekena taunted, ignoring Ola and everyone else.

"I'm warning you," Sochima cautioned, still keeping his cool.

"What the fuck are you going to do!" Tekena screamed back in his face. "Wetin you wan do, ehn? Come on, I dare you!"

He attempted to push at Sochima's chest again but the latter knocked his arms off with a swift swing of his before they could even touch his chest, sending Tekena sprawling back and almost tipping over air.

Shit. My eyes widened.

Louder gasps rang through the room.

"Chima," Dawn leaped forward to go to him.

"Stay back," He said to her, keeping his eyes right on Tekena who was trying to regain his posture.

I looked at Dawn and saw the fear in her eyes. I understood it. Sochima wasn't supposed to touch him. Whatever Tekena does to incite a reaction from Sochima, he isn't supposed to react. For his own good. But he has reacted and it will be difficult to walk away from it.

Tekena finally regained his composure and laughed out loud into the air, finding this entire thing funny.

Of course, he did.

This is so fucked!

I stood there, just a few feet away from an already brewing storm. Sochima and Tekena were now locked in a face-off, head-to-head, toe-to-toe. They were legit breathing the same air.

The tension in the air was evident, and I couldn't help but notice the clenching and unclenching of Sochima's fist, a clear sign that he was fucking pissed, a raging anger simmering beneath his calm expression.

This guy was anything but calm right now. I could see it.

Could feel it.

It was all new because I have never seen Sochima angry before, not even when I joined Tekena to taunt and maim the guy unnecessarily, my own anger and jealousy coming into play. Still, he wouldn't as much as flinch. Heck, he'd even smile at us, like we were little children making a fool of ourselves.

We were making a fool of ourselves ninety-nine point nine per cent of the time.

But this time was so different. I could literally feel the waves of anger radiating from him in torrents that scared the hell out of me.

Tekena's expression was, however, a stark contrast to Sochima's. The look on his face was mocking, a taunting smirk on his lips, a smirk I was all too familiar with. He knew he was already getting under Sochima's skin. He wasn't quite there yet, but he was getting there, and he was relishing in it.

This was exactly what Tekena wanted– a reaction from Sochima Johnson.

This is not going to end well.

"Chima," Dawn's soft whimper broke through the pregnant silence, her voice trembling with plea. Sochima didn't turn to face her, his eyes remaining fixed on Tekena.

Then he slowly raised an index finger right in Tekena's face.

"One more time,"

He whispered, an eerie calm in his voice, completely contrasting with the raging, undiluted anger within him. Everyone was holding their breaths, definitely praying under their breaths that things wouldn't get out of hand.

"One more time, Tekena Tamuno," he repeated, still holding up his index finger. "I won't be responsible for whatever happens if you push my buttons one more time. I'm warning you, back off."

"And what the fuck are you going to do if I push your buttons one more time, uhn?" Tekena asked, his voice taunting, as he moved closer to Sochima.

"What the fuck are you–" he jabbed his index finger into the darker guy's chest, sending him veering back a bit.

"– Tekena–" I warned.

"– going to do about it?" He completed his statement, jabbing his index into Sochima's chest again, completely disregarding me.

Sochima looked down at Tekena's hand on his chest, then looked back up to meet his eyes again. He wasn't saying anything, but it was obvious he was tethering on the precipice of fury.

It was so clear that Chima was trying so hard to avoid a fight with Tekena. He was trying his best to walk away from a fight. And that was the smart move. He was a scholarship student, and any fight on school grounds could cost him that scholarship, and potentially get him expelled.

He has come so far and was smart enough to know that he couldn't jeopardize everything he has worked for, for almost three years.

"My guy, just walk away abeg," Ola tried to pacify.

"Sochima, please leave it," Hilary also pleaded. I didn't say anything, but I was pleading inwardly as well, knowing that whatever the outcome was, it might not favor him.

It wasn't as if I cared about Sochima Johnson all of a sudden, but I have moved past that unnecessary hate and jealousy I always felt for him. He has never been the problem. I have, and Kingsley has. And with everything that just went down, he had every right to be angry.

Tekena was pushing him to the wall, and whatever reaction he gave at this moment would be very justified. But it might not favor him.

So he had to walk away. It was better for him to walk away.

Tekena wasn't worth it.

And he did.

Sochima stepped away from Tekena and turned to Dawn who was holding a bruised Dean.

Good. Walk away, Sochima. For your own sake.

"Come on," he said to his girlfriend, taking her hand in his. "Let's go," he nudged her to follow him, throwing his other hand around Dean's shoulder. Dawn threw one final, dirty look in Tekena's direction, but allowed Sochima to pull her along.

Tekena's smirk disappeared, clearly not liking the way this was turning out. For me, I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding, sighing in relief.

The crisis was averted.

Or so I thought.

They were successfully walking away from all this, without Sochima jeopardizing his future. But of course, Tekena Tamuno won't live up to his name if he doesn't find a way to ruin things.

It was his default setting.

"YEAH, WALK AWAY!" He yelled after them.

For the love of God!

"Guy! What the fuck are you doing!" I whisper-yelled, trying to stop him.

"Dude, stop this thing naw!" Ola tried as well, obviously seeing the disaster coming from a mile away. But Tekena paid no heed to either of us, hell-bent on provoking a reaction from Sochima or Dawn.

Or both.

"WALK AWAY LIKE THE WEAK FUCK YOU ARE! FUCKING PUSSY!" He continued raving. Chima and Dawn kept moving. "DAWN, YOU DOWNGRADED! DO YOU HEAR ME? YOU FUCKING DOWNGRADED. YOU CHOSE A LITTLE BITCH OVER ME? A FUCKING WEAKLING? WHY? IS HIS DICK BIGGER? IS THAT IT? BECAUSE I HAVE ALWAYS KNOWN YOU TO BE A FUCKING SLUT!"

Fuck me! I threw my hands over my head.

That did it.

Sochima stopped walking.

Tekena smirked. He has gotten the exact reaction he wanted.

"Shit!" Hilary cussed.

"Tekena what the actual fuck!" I exclaimed.

"This is bad. This is very bad," Ola kept chanting, glancing at the door repeatedly like he was waiting for some miracle to burst in before all hell broke loose.

None of us could leave to get help, knowing that anything can happen from this very moment and we had to be here to stop it.

Despite it all, Tekena was still on a warpath, walking toward them as he kept spitting fire and brimstone.

"SOCHIMA JOHNSON, JUST KNOW THAT EVERYTHING SHE'S DOING WITH YOU, I FUCKING TAUGHT HER! DO YOU HEAR ME? I TAUGHT HER EVERY DAMN THING–"

"Tekena, shut up!" Hilary shrieked like a banshee.

"–SO EVERYTHING YOU THINK YOU ARE ENJOYING FROM THAT BITCH, I HAD IT ALL FIRST! AND YOU WILL NEVER MEASURE UP TO ME BECAUSE IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN ME! FROM THE VERY BEGINNING, IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN ME! AND SHE WILL NEVER FORGET THAT. SHE WILL NEVER HAVE A BETTER FUCK THAN ME!"

Jesus Christ!

The air was thick with tension, saturated with an unmistakable air of anger and rage, all emitting in waves from Sochima Johnson. It hung in the air like a heavy, suffocating cloud over all of us, none of us able to move from our sports, transfixed.

Emotions were high as fuck!

Dawn was the first of the duo to turn around, and my heart shattered into a thousand pieces when I saw her eyes brim with unshed tears, her lips gapped slightly in utter disbelief. I could feel the profound hurt that engulfed her, couldn't imagine the amount of ridicule and humiliation she must be feeling from the words Tekena just hurled about her.

Then, Sochima turned around and my heart automatically began to hammer against my rib cage like drums. His eyes locked on Tekena, and I knew immediately that shit was about to get a lot messy.

Still, I couldn't move. Nobody could. Everyone was waiting with bated breath to see how this would all go down.

His veins bulged on his forehead, and every muscle in his body seemed to coil. From my vantage point, I could almost see the cracking energy of fury radiating off him like a wildfire burning around him. It was as if a volcano of emotions was about to erupt.

The air around him was vibrating with the sheer intensity of his anger, and it was clear that he had already tipped over the edge into a sea of maddening rage.

Walk away, Sochima. Walk away. I pleaded inwardly.

But what did he do?

He smiled.

But it was no ordinary smile. It was a faint, wicked smile that played at the corners of his lips. It was a subtle yet malevolent grin, revealing a dark satisfaction and a hint of sinister intent.

Chills legit ran down my spine with sizzling coldness.

I just knew hell was about to break loose.

"Help me grab that mop stick over there, please," he said to Dean, his voice dangerously calm as he pointed at a headless mop stick not so far away.

As Dean rushed over to get the mop, Sochima casually shrugged off his varsity jacket, folded it neatly, and handed it over to Dawn, his eyes pleading.

"Chima," Dawn whispered, her voice between pleading and warning.

"I'm sorry," he whispered back, his words loud enough for everyone in the room to hear. He didn't wait for a reply, pulling his hand out of her grasp as she tried to hold him back.

Then, he started marching toward Tekena with hefty steps, and I knew we couldn't stand still anymore.

Exchanging a frantic glance with Ola, we both ran for Sochima, trying to stop him from reaching Tekena. But one minute, we got to him, another minute, we were on the ground, sliding away from him on the slippery floor of the court.

How the hell did he do that? I gapped in shock. Ola was equally flabbergasted.

We got up again and tried to get to him, but he was too quick. Tekena smirked, ready for a punch, his stance saying he was going to block it.

But he didn't know what was going to hit him.

"THROW!" Sochima growled out, and I wasn't sure what he was talking about till I saw Dean from my peripheral vision hurl the headless mop stick at him.

He caught it effortlessly.

"CHIMA! NO!" Dawn screamed, but it was too late.

With a swift powerful swing, the stick connected with Tekena's jaw, completely blindsiding him. The impact was bone-chilling, knocking a tooth right out of his mouth. Tekena sprawled back, a guttural cry of anguish escaping his lips, mixed with the shrill screams of terror from the girls.

Blood of Jesus! I froze, transfixed with sheer horror.

"WHAT THE FUCK!" Tekena groaned, his hand instinctively going to the gaping wound in his mouth, blood-forming.

From right there, everything happened so fast. So fast that no one, not me, nor Ola, nor Dawn, nor even Tekena could stop it.

Sochima snapped the stick into two with one bend of his knee, and while Tekena was still trying to recover from the initial strike, Sochima started hitting him with the sticks, literally whacking him left and right, the sticks whistling through the air with brute force like a vengeance from the gods, connecting to Tekena's flesh in sickening thuds, eliciting groans of agony from him.

Jesus!

Jesus!!

JESUS!!!

"Chima!" Dawn cried, attempting to run to him.

"Hilary, hold her back!" I ordered, and Hilary went right at it, Dean as well, wrapping their hands around her to stop her from getting to Sochima.

She might get hurt.

The lashes of the sticks were evident on Tekena's body, slashing through his exposed skin and drawing out blood. His face, his arms, his legs. Sochima finally got tired of using the sticks, discarding them like trash. He swung his hand, his fist meeting the side of Tekena's face with brutal force, eliciting a loud groan from him.

Blood sprayed out of his mouth, and I swear I heard a crack from Tekena's jaw.

"ARGHHH!" He screamed, a fresh surge of blood welling up in his mouth, mingling with the blood that came from his missing tooth.

Fuck!

Tekena tried his best to block the punches from Sochima, but he couldn't block it all, getting punched in the face and kicked in the guts like a bloody punching bag. Sochima wasn't giving him a damn breathing space, or any chance to fight back.

I knew Tekena could fight, but it seemed Sochima... Sochima was on a different level altogether.

It was as if he'd tapped into some primal well of power and pent-up emotions, and unleashed it with every strike. The precision of his blows, the calculated brutality, and the relentless nature of his assault were something that shook me to my very core and had me almost shivering to my knees.

He moved with a fluidity that spoke of practiced skill, and yet, there was an uncontrollable, almost wild element to his fighting style that made it all the more terrifying. It was both awe-inspiring and utterly bone-chilling to witness this as he pummeled Tekena relentlessly.

At this rate, someone was going to die, and it was certainly not Sochima.

Ola and I charged for both of them, trying to separate them. But my attempt was met with an elbow to the eye, momentarily blinding me and knocking me to the ground. Ola wasn't fairing any better, sent flying by Sochima with one flick of his hand like a pesky fly.

"Shit!" I groaned in pain, knowing for a fact that I was going to spot a black eye with that punch.

I had no fucking idea Sochima was so damn strong.

"Jidenna!" I heard Adela's voice from a distance, or at least it sounded like it was coming from a distance.

I guess she couldn't sit it out anymore.

I felt her hand on my face, and could only see a blurry vision of her. I groaned again when I felt her touch my wounded eye, shaking my head to stop the splitting headache materializing in my head.

"Your eyes..." she sounded so concerned, so worried.

"Get Kizito! Now!" I told her.

"But–" she wanted to counter.

"Go! Now!" I ordered. Her retreating footsteps told me she was running out, and I stood back up, staggering a bit. I shook my head with a groan, trying to clear my vision.

Things weren't looking good at all.

The grim scene was punctuated by the horrified screams of Dawn, Hilary, and the other junior boys in the room, pleading for the violence to end, Dawn's cries being the loudest in the room. The fight escalated, growing even deadlier.

Blood, thick and crimson began to pool on the floor, the metallic scent permeating the air. Tekena tried to fight back, managing to land a brutal blow at the side of Sochima's lip, bursting it open. The darker, obviously stronger boy staggered slightly with a grunt, a grotesque mixture of blood and saliva flowing from his mouth.

But the punch only seemed to piss Sochima off even more. He merely spat out the blood, using the back of his hand to wipe his lips.

Then in one swift grasp, he seized Tekena by the collar and flung him brutally against the hard chairs of the bleachers like a bag of rice. I swear, I heard the sound of bones cracking, and Tekena's horrid scream of agony filled the room, echoing for miles and miles like a victim of hell.

My eyes widened in terror and I looked at Ola, who also looked just as terrified and alarmed as me. We knew we couldn't stop this.

No one could.

Sochima, utterly blinded by rage, marched to Tekena's limp figure sprawled over the bleachers. He towered over Tekena like a beast about to feast on its prey and started slamming his fists into Tekena's face over and over again, the revolting thuds of his punches reverberating through the space.

I kept flinching at every hit, Hilary screaming at every hit.

Dawn wasn't even screaming anymore. She just stood still and stared, with wide eyes and a gapped mouth. She looked completely horrified at the scene before her, like she was just seeing Sochima for the first time, in a whole different light.

Everyone felt exactly that.

Tekena wasn't even fighting back anymore, subjecting himself to the brutality of Chima's fists, his body drenched in crimson, his face contorted in agony, his left eye bloodshot. It was a perfect contrast to Chima's completed unscathed look, safe for his burst lip.

He was determined to beat Tekena to death.

And nobody or nothing on this earth dared to stop him.

Or at least, just one person.

"HEY!"

Kizito's towering figure burst into the court, with Adela and Semeeha hot in his tail, and I swear I shouted hallelujah.

Finally, Help.

In no time, he was at the bleachers, wedging himself between the both of them, forcing a heaving Sochima away from the bloodied and weak Tekena.

"Sochima, what the fuck!" Kizito yelled, pushing against the darker guy's chest. "What the hell were you thinking,"

"Back off, Kizito," Sochima growled out, his face twisted in murderous rage, his brows furrowed deeply, and his eyes blazed with an intense, seething fury.

"The hell I will!" Kizito wasn't backing down, shielding him from Tekena.

Tekena spat out a mouth full of blood and suddenly started chuckling, drawls of blood and saliva drooling from his lips. He looked at Sochima with bloodshot eyes, groaning slightly as he wobbled to his feet. He was in pain, severe pain, and he still managed to laugh.

What kind of sick person is this!

"So you had it in you all this while,"

"Shut up!" Sochima warned him.

Tekena didn't.

"So that's all it took for you to get you all riled up, uhn? Just one little hit on your fucking ego. Maybe, I should do it again," he grinned.

"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Sochima charged at Tekena again, but Ola and I quickly ran to hold him down. We got jabbed in the stomach, we grunted but we still managed to subdue him.

"Shut the hell up, Tekena!" Kizito growled, but Tekena started laughing again, mocking Sochima.

I looked at him in utter disbelief, couldn't recognize him. Not just because he was battered and bruised, but because of how sardonic... sadistic he was right now. How sardonic and sadistic he has always been. The length he just went to to get Sochima to fight him, demoralizing Dawn while still claiming to be in love with her.

I couldn't believe it.

Who the hell are you, Tekena Tamuno?

"You are dead," Sochima threatened– no, promised, his jaw clenched so tightly that the muscles stood out in sharp relief.

"And you are about to get expelled, motherfücker," Tekena growled right back, lips expelling more blood the more the spoke.

And suddenly, it registered.

Jesus Christ.

"What in God's name is going on here!" A loud, deep voice boomed through the room.

Shit!

Big Guy.

Sochima and Tekena were taken to Sir. Isaac's office by Big Guy, along with everyone who was involved in or witnessed the entire fight.

Tekena has to be excused eventually to go get his wounds treated at the health center because of how severe they were– though, I don't think he'd be able to grow another tooth back no matter what kind of treatment given to him. Adela was instructed to take Dean to get his wounds checked out as well.

I can't even begin to imagine how traumatized that boy was, especially having witnessed all of that. Even I was still very much shaken by the entire fight, couldn't get the images out of my head. The black eye I sustained and the dull pain from getting elbowed in the gut was nothing compared to the turmoil going on in my mind...

...And possibly in the mind of everyone else involved.

I couldn't even stay in Sir. Isaac's office. I had to follow those leading Tekena to the health center because, at the end of the day, I'd have to say my piece and testify as a witness, not as Tekena's friend, but as the head boy. I'd have to choose between testifying against Tekena and standing with Sochima, or testifying against Sochima and standing with Tekena.

I knew the right to do.

Standing with Tekena and testifying against Sochima would be wicked of me, knowing that Sochima had put everything on the line to protect Dawn's honor today.

The whole beatdown didn't stem from today's situation alone. It was clearly a result of pent-up anger that just reached its breaking point. Pent-up anger from Sochima toward Tekena. Sochima has been keeping his cool for who knows how long, and he just couldn't hold it back anymore.

But it might cost him everything. All because Tekena was a complete asshole.

My phone wouldn't stop buzzing. Everyone already knew about the fight and our classmates were talking about it, majorly angry that the video circulating about it wasn't clear enough and they couldn't get a better view of the entire fight.

I finally had to switch off my data.

This is so fucked.

I stood a little distance away from Tekena's bed, watching the nurse on duty inject him with morphine to ease his pain, complaining non-stop about how boys were always fighting.

"Kuku kill yourselves if you are tired of living," she said. But Tekena didn't say a word back to her.

Actually, he hasn't said a word since Big Guy walked in on the whole scene. For someone who was quite happy with how things turned out, he has been bonding face too much. And no, it wasn't because of the pain he was probably feeling... maybe it was part, but it wasn't completely it.

Maybe it was being of me.

He hasn't spared me a glance since we got here. I didn't need anyone to tell me he was pissed at me. Maybe pissed was even an understatement. He was furious with me.

Well, I guess that makes two of us because I'm also very furious with him.

Things shouldn't have escalated the way they did. So many things could have been handled better. Heck, nothing would have gotten to this point if Tekena had just kept his mouth shut and allowed Sochima to walk away, but he just couldn't.

It was his default setting to cause chaos. He was the harbinger of high school disaster and catastrophe. He was a master at evoking it, and it has taken me so long to realize. He lived for the drama, the trouble, the uproar it would bring, and it only seemed to be magnified when it came to Sochima and Dawn.

I don't understand how you will break things off with a girl–in the most horrid way if I might add– and still be so invested in her life the way Tekena was so invested in Dawn's life.

I can't count the number of times I caught him stalking her on Instagram and TikTok, watching her dance videos, and smiling to himself. Fuck it, he could stare at her pictures for hours without blinking. He would act as if he was just passing by her class, only to catch a glimpse of her.

Tekena was so obsessed with Dawn.

It was as if he couldn't stand the thought of her being happy without him, and what made it worse was that the person she was happy with was Sochima Johnson, a guy that he couldn't stand.

Talking trash about her was the lowest of lows. Talking about the things they did together when they were in a relationship in front of her current boyfriend, just out of spite. That would have taken such a huge blow to Sochima's ego as a guy and as Dawn's boyfriend.

But that was what Tekena wanted.

To earn a reaction from Sochima that would leave a permanent dent is reputation.

A reaction that could cost him everything.

And that was just all shades of SICK.

I don't know who Tekena is anymore. Maybe I never did.

"Jidenna,"

I jerked out of my reverie and turned around in the direction my name was called to see Adela at the door. I exhaled, pushing myself off the wall, and went to meet her.

"Hey," I whispered when I got to her.

"Hey," she whispered back, her face morphed into an expression of concern and sadness.

She reached up to my face, and I let her, my eyes fluttering close and a sigh of contentment escaping my lips at the feel of her dainty fingers on my skin. I winced a bit when I felt her finger breezily graze my black eye.

"I'm fine," I quickly said to cover it up.

"You are hurt," she stated shrewdly, and a soft chuckle escaped my lips.

"I'm fine," I maintained, assuring her. "I'm okay, Adela. I promise." I said to her, taking her hand from my face and holding onto it, lacing my fingers through hers.

She sighed, her lips paused.

"How is Dean?" I asked.

"He is a little beat up, but he'll live," she answered. "I took him back to his sister not quite long ago," she added, and I perked up at that.

"So you went back to the admin block?" I asked, and she nodded. "Did you get any news? How are things going with Sochima? Is there any verdict yet?" My questions kept coming, curiosity getting the better part of me.

Adela exhaled again.

"I'm not sure," she responded. "Dawn told me he has been in there for quite a while with Sir. Isaac and Big Guy. Though she also mentioned that they were called in one after the other to say their own side of the story," she explained.

Okay. That's promising. I nodded slowly.

"That's a good thing, right?" It was a rhetorical question. "Things might work out well, right?"

"Well, I don't know. It depends," she shrugged. "Even if he gets off with a suspension, it would still taint his perfect record," she noted.

"But it's so much better than getting expelled," I chipped, and she hummed in agreement. "I mean, if the witnesses pan out, especially with Dean and Dawn, and the junior boys that were present, they might just let him off with a week or so. That's if everyone tells the truth,"

"And you?" She questioned, looking at me square in the eyes.

"And me what?" My brows furrowed in confusion because I didn't understand.

"You might be called to testify," she clarified, and I shifted uneasily on my feet. "You were the most senior prefect present at the scene, making your testimony more important than every other.–"

She wasn't lying about that.

"–So what are you going to tell them if you are called?" She asked. "You know the truth, but he–" she glanced past me at Tekena before looking back, "is your best friend."

I exhaled, running my hand across my face as my mind tossed and turned while Adela kept her eyes on me as if waiting for my response.

"I don't know, Adela," I finally spoke. "I know the right thing to do, I'm not an idiot. I know I'm supposed to tell the truth–"

"But telling the truth will get him into trouble," by him, Adela meant Tekena of course.

"Don't you think I know that?" I tried not to raise my voice. The last thing I wanted was for Tekena to hear our conversation, but I couldn't hide my frustration. "Why do you think I left there? Because I don't want to be torn between the two of them. And he might not be acting like my friend right now, but that doesn't mean I don't care about him.–

So no, I don't know what I'd say if I get called to testify."

I was breathing heavily by the time I was finished, my chest heaving and a frustrated expression marred across my face. Adela sighed softly, unhooking her hand from mine, and brought it back to my face.

Instinctively, I leaned into her touch.

"You are a good person, Jidenna, and a good friend," she whispered, looking me square in the eyes as she said those words, making me visibly relaxed.

"But you need to ask yourself if he is worth it," she stated matter-of-factly. "If he will even do the same for you if he were in your shoes. Because if I remember correctly, at the beginning of the session, you fought with Kizito and he wasn't there, not to mention the many times after that that you have needed him and he didn't show,"

They all came flooding back. No matter how hard I tried to push them back. They came flooding back. All the way from JSS 3.

"If you are going to take such a risk, then do it for someone worth it, Jidenna." She finished. And that plunged me back into a plethora of confusion.

But before I could think harder about it–

"Ah, health prefect. You are here," the nurse attending to Tekena finally noticed Adela by the door. Adela let out a soft groan and subtle eye roll before mustering a faux smile to flash at the woman.

I chuckled at that.

"Yes ma, I'm here. Good afternoon," she answered, walking into the room. I followed behind.

"Good. Oya, come and continue biko," she dumped the blood-soiled cotton wool bud with so much disgust written all over her face like she couldn't stand the sight of blood.

Why is she a nurse then?

"Me, I want to start going home abeg," she kept talking, disposing of the latex gloves and walking over to the basin to rinse her hand, her face pulled in a scowl. "It's not like they are paying me for the extra hours I spend here treating you people's wounds,"

Now she was just talking more to herself than to us, packing her bags.

"Next time, you people should fight outside the gates and stop stressing my life, or fight in your parent's house," her ranting continued. "They kuku have the money to send you to the hospital if you want to break your heads. Nobody to stress me."

And poof, she was out of the door like the wind, gone, leaving just the three of us in the room.

Omo, I don't think I've ever heard anyone complain so much.

Adela groaned again, clearly displeased with this whole thing. And I knew exactly why.

"Do I really have to do this?" She looked at me, her expression telling me that she'd rather be anywhere but here, and by here, I mean in the same space with Tekena.

But before I could respond or pacify her to just help him out–

"If you don't want to do it, then geddifok!" Tekena snapped all of a sudden right out of his talking hiatus, his eyes blazing as he glared at her.

"Tekena!"

"Fine!"

Adela and I chorused at the same time. She dropped the ball of cotton wool she had already picked and made to leave.

"Wait," I quickly grabbed her hand to stop her from leaving.

"Let her go naw! Shebi–"

"You shut up!" I fired at him, cutting the rest of his words off. Then I turned to the clearly annoyed Adela. "Don't go, please," I begged her.

"Why? So that he'd insult me some more?" She asked, her tone edgy with anger. I exhaled, rubbing my temple.

Today is not just Tekena's day.

"I'm sorry about him," I apologized on his behalf, ignoring the hiss that came from him after he said that. "Just help me clean him up, please. I promise I won't let him insult you," I assured her.

She kissed her teeth and yanked her hand away from my grasp.

"You owe me," she mumbled, grumbling more incoherent words that I didn't quite pick. I chuckled lightly, finding the child-like act funny because it was so uncharacteristic of her, yet so cute.

I watched as she got everything ready to clean Tekena up, but all that effort was wasted because as soon as Adela brought the wool soaked in methylated spirit to the wound on his forehead, he smacked her hand out of his face aggressively.

The wool and everything she was holding flew out of her hands and she almost toppled over on her feet.

Jesus! I was on my feet instantly.

"Ouch!" she shrieked.

"What the fuck, Tekena!" I yelled, rushing over to Adela to get her away from him. "Are you okay?" I asked her.

"I'm fine, but see what I'm saying," she threw Tekena a dirty look.

Okay, now I'm really pissed.

"What the hell is your problem!" I snapped at him.

"What the hell is yours?" He snapped back, getting up to his feet. "Ehn, Jidenna? What the hell is your problem?"

"Clearly, I don't have any because I'm not the one who just tried to knock Adela off unprovoked!" I fired back. "And I'm certainly not the one that got into a stupid fight and had himself beat up. So no Tekena, I don't have a problem but you seem to have a lot of it!"

"You are so full of shit!" He spat at me with so much disdain, some of his words coming out jumbled up because of the wound in his mouth.

Then he chuckled, shaking his head.

"I guess I was wrong that it was Hilary you were trying to impress earlier. So it was her," he gestured at Adela. "I should have known she was there because she seems to always follow you around... like a lapdog now. Where you go, she goes."

"Don't ever call me a lapdog," Adela warned him, advancing toward him but I held her back.

"I don't understand what's up with you," I said to him. "But whatever it is, it has nothing to do with Adela so back off. It's me you want to attack. It's me you have a problem with, so stop going the corners. Don't be a coward, Tekena. Come at me, not her," I told him point blank.

He laughed again. He has been doing that a lot today, especially in unwarranted situations and it is getting on my last nerve.

"Yeah, I'm sure Adela–" he spat her name with so much venom and disgust. "–isn't the one influencing you to be a shitty friend,"

"A shitty friend?" I couldn't hide how incredulous that sounded.

"Yes, Jidenna! You have been a shitty friend!" he retorted, the weight of his voice reverberating through the room. "You have been a shitty, fucked up friend who has never had my back!"

Oh, bullshit!

"I have never had your back, yet I got this–" I jabbed my index at my black eye. "–trying to save your ass from being beaten to shit! Sorry that wasn't enough for you, Tekena. Sorry I wasn't enough for you!"

"Yes, that wasn't enough for me!" He yelled right back, and I swear, that stung. "Because it doesn't change the fact that you ganged up with my enemies against me, roughing me up and disrespecting your so-called best friends in front of all of them. That was fucked, Jidenna! Fucked!"

Is this guy for real?

"What were you expecting me to do?" I asked him. "You battered a junior, Tekena. Brutally, if I might add. And it wasn't just any Junior. Dawn's brother! It could have been another junior, but it just had to be him. It was motive, Tekena. You had a motive. You were looking for a fight, weren't you?"

That was a genuine question, but he didn't even have an answer to it. All he did was glare at me like he wanted nothing more but to decapitate my head from my neck with his bare hands.

"I thought so," my voice came out in a whisper. "You had a motive. You were looking for a fight. You knew hitting her brother would get Dawn to finally acknowledge your presence and it did. You wanted her to react, knowing it would bring Sochima into the situation.–

And then you taunted and pushed him till he picked a fight with you, knowing fully well that he wasn't supposed to engage in a fight. You wanted to get him expelled, isn't that right?"

Tekena's lips cracked into a twisted grin and started clapping slowly.

"Wow," he whistled. "Maybe hanging out with her has finally given you some brain cells,"

I ignored the insult because I got all the answers I needed. Tekena really put up such an elaborate scheme just to get Sochima to fight with him so that the former would get expelled.

If it wasn't so devious and devilish, I'd be impressed, on God.

"And that's what you wanted me to defend?" I asked him. "You really wanted me to have your back and watch you potentially destroy another person's life? God forbid, Tekena. God forbid I'm party to such a wicked act." I stated pointedly.

"Bull, Jidenna! That's bull and you know it," Tekena shut me down immediately. "You think say you be man now abi? Acting all fucking self-righteous and morally upright like you won't be the first person to be happy if that motherfücker gets expelled."

Ehn?

"What are you even saying?" I scoffed, wondering what he was on about.

"I just hyped your sense, guy. Don't fall my hand," he rolled his eyes. "Just think about it. You finally stop living in his shadow. Finally stop getting compared to him. Hell, you'll be valedictorian without any hassle and your Dad will finally be proud to have you as a son,"

Adela made a sound from where she stood behind me. But I didn't get to look at her before Tekena started talking again.

"So don't act like you won't be happy if he is gone because you would, Jidenna. That's why I did it for you," he smiled.

Did it for me?

He did this for me?

He fought with Sochima for me?

Who the hell does he think he is fooling with that?

"You really expect me to believe that, don't you?" I asked him with all sincerity, and his smile wiped off.

"What?" He blinked. I scoffed, shaking my head

"You didn't do shit for me, Tekena," I told him straight up. "You never do things for me. You only do them for yourself, and for whatever sick glorification you get out of it." I spelled it out for him.

"That's bullshit and you know it!" he retorted.

"It's the truth, Tekena. Own it!" I retorted back.

"This whole stunt with Sochima was never about me. It was never for me," I said pointedly, moving closer to him. "It was all for you. It's because you are still in love with Dawn and you can't stand the thought of her being happy with him. Well, news flash, my guy, she is happy with him... without you,"

I spelled out in his face, and I saw his jaw lock, eyes blazing with so much unbridled anger. But that didn't stop me from going on because I was done with this nonsense.

"You broke her," I reminded him, and I saw his hard look falter for a moment. Just a moment. "She fixed herself up and healed, got over it, and moved on. You do the same. You don't get to police her life, Tekena. You are the one that fucked things up. You are the one who let her go, and I'm sorry you are regretting it, but you can't take it back!–

So no, this whole situation has absolutely nothing to do with me and it is most certainly not about you trying to have my back. This is about you being jealous of Sochima because he is a living, breathing reminder of everything you could have done better with Dawn, and that it's him making her happy, not you.–

And if you think after the stunt you pulled today, and after all the despicable things you said to her face, Dawn will ever look your way again, then you are clowning, my friend. Big time."

He was completely frozen cold by the time I was done, glaring at me like he wanted to wring his hands around my neck and choke the life out of me.

But his silence spoke volumes. I was spot on with everything I said and the truth hit him exactly where it hurt the most.

His heart.

His heart couldn't handle the mere thought of Dawn never looking his way again.

But after what happened today... omo.

Signed. Sealed. Delivered.

When I looked back at Adela, who had been quiet all through, she had a big, proud smile playing on her lips. Way bigger than the one she had during the meeting when I went off on Beauty.

And I felt so proud of myself. I was able to stand up for myself against Tekena and call out his BS.

I did well. I handled it so well.

But I guess my friendship with him will never go back to normal.

I looked back at Tekena and he was still frozen in place.

"Clean yourself up since you don't want help. Or go home looking like you got run over by a truck one million times. I'm leaving you here,"

I took Adela's hand and turned around to leave, my mind already made up on what I'd tell Sir. Isaac if I'm called to testify about the fight.

The truth.

I'll tell him the truth.

Right now, I genuinely have nothing to lose, and it doesn't bother me anymore.

With that decided, I kept walking and never looked back even though I wanted to, Adela's hand in mine, her thumb absent-mindedly caressing the back of my palm, comforting me.

But before we got to the door, Tekena's boisterous laughter filled the room.

What now! I fought back a groan, automatically halting in my steps.

"Ignore him," Adela said, tugging me along for us to leave the room. "Let's just go," she added.

"Yeah," Tekena's voice rang out behind us, an indication that he heard Adela. "You should probably get him out of here before he finds out the truth," he said.

Now, that caught my attention.

I turned around to face him, forehead creased in confusion. Tekena was staring back at me, his entire demeanor tainted with maliciousness. It oozes from him like a noxious aura, his eyes gleaming with a wicked, malevolent glint, and his lips curved in a sardonic smirk.

That should have been enough to have me turning back around and walking away. But the better part of me needed to know what he was going on about.

Better yet, what has it got to do with Adela?

"What are you talking about?" I asked him.

His grin only stretched. "Ask her."

He nodded in Adela's way and I looked to see her staring right at him, hands folded across her chest. Her expression gave nothing away to whatever she was feeling but her eyes glimmered with so many emotions that I couldn't place.

"Adela?" I called to her, my voice in a soft whisper. She didn't look at me, or act like I was calling her. She still kept her eyes on him.

And it made me feel very uncomfortable.

"Do you really want to go down that road?" She was speaking to him, asking him while I kept looking back and forth between them. Tekena shrugged, that grin still plastered on his lips.

"Indulge me, bitch," he answered, and a zing went straight to my head at the foul word used on her. "Right now, I have absolutely nothing to lose," he added.

What the hell are they talking about?

I was so confused, so uneasy.

"You think?" Her brows tugged up in question. "'Cos from where I'm standing, you have so much more to lose than I do, Tekena. But since you this so bad, it's alright. I'll bite."

She exhaled, then her lips stretched in a smirk, just as malevolent as his– If not more– and she cocked her head to the side.

What the...

"Let's play."

𝐀/𝐍

Omo, that fight was looonngg overdue.

And Chima is so hot 🥵🔥😭.

I don't even know what Tekena was thinking trying to pick a fight with a guy that has a military officer as his Dad. Sochima might even be eating nails and cereals for breakfast and no one knows🌚. My nigga is rugged😌.

Tekena deserved everything that came at him in this chapter, 100%. But it might cost Sochima a lot. Do you think he will get expelled?

Also, y'all might have guessed what Tekena is trying to do with Adela and Jidenna. If you don't know, go back and read the end of chapter 066c again and you'll grab. Do you think it will work?

Personally, I think Adela has an upper hand, and she is very smart. But... though Tekena is an ass, he is also very smart and devious so he can spin it however way he wants.

Do you think Jidenna will fall for it?

You will not find out in the next chapter because the next chapter is all about Dachima, and whatever the hell is going on between Semeeha and Kizito. I don't know when it will come sha, so stay tuned.

But till then, you know the drill😌. Kisses 😘
